Having some hundred hours in FTL, I liked this game. I did encounter a bug though, after first level and placing new objects I couldn't start the next level. Nothing happened as I clicked. Tried to start over but didn't manage to reproduce bug.

Wow, this is really impressive for 48 hours! It's like FTL but with the freedom to build your own spaceship. I'm not really a fan of the audio though. I hope you'll continue to develop this further, maybe add things like crew members etc. Great job!

Neat concept! I liked the graphics, and the placement system seemed to work well. Gameplay could have been a bit more engaging, but good work nonetheless!
As Lucky Deathers has said, the FTL vibe was strong and I loved it. A very ambitious game! I really enjoyed the ship building. I'd love to see how it moves along after LD as well.

Cool game, reminded me of Galaxy Trucker in the construction of the ships.
Great Game
A very impressive game with a surprisingly large amount of content.

Definitely feeling the FTL. I made it to station 3! So not too far lol. But I did enjoy it!

Feels very impressive for 48 hours. I was still confused about the controls lol, feel like there could have been a better explanation of them. I think the building g system was too complex in all honesty and it should have been made simpler to make the game more accessible.

Yeah, I agree that the game is not accessible enough, I think it would have been okay, if I had managed to make an actual tutorial, instead of the rushed "how to" I had to throw together.

Crazy that you did this in 48h. I think the music could use some improvement, but dfinately something worth continue working on. Congrats!
It feels a bit like FTL but with building. The controls are intuitive but the gameplay felt a bit unbalanced. The graphic style is great and fits to the mood. The music is absolute basic.
But after all for 48 hours this is a great game, wich makes fun and seems to be challenging. I hope you will continue!

Very nice concept!! I very liked play this game, even if I have not finished it...
At the end, it's begin too be so long... A picture of my invincible space ship ^^ SpaceReturn.png
The game is fun once you reach a certain threshold, but until then it feels very slow and tedious to wait for the money to come in

Very nice game, reminds me to FTL which I enjoyed a lot. It's amazing for a job done in a so short time. Congratulations
I really liked the game and especially how I could guide things with my play style, like how the cannons caused more combat events. I do wish there was more reason to build out the ship in a way that made sense (using floors, having contained areas), since I found myself just building on the outside wherever I could since there wasn't any easy way to clear out a ton of older parts.
I liked this quite a bit. My only real feedback is that it took a long time to get going, and until you did it all felt a little tedious. Once you broke that though, the game really shines!

Yay, it has 20 reviews :D Thanks for all your very nice comments ^^
@arkthalohs I don't know if you might have missed it (which would be very easy, since there is no good explanation) but you can remove old parts by left clicking on them and then right clicking to dismiss placement and store the part. But I agree, there really should be a better system, for example dragging a square to select a bunch of parts to remove.

That was a lot of fun to play through! I think you commented in another space game about how terrible yours was, so I clicked through you username to find and try it myself. I have to say I disagree entirely with your pronouncement.
Though the game has some balancing issues (i.e. always running away pretty much just lets you survive), and there's no real point to using floor or making an interior at all, I really enjoyed it! If you polished it up you could try selling it for a couple bucks, because it was actually quite fun to play :D. Great work!

Very nice! It's fun to get to customize your own spaceship. Is there an end goal in this game or do you just keep going until you lose everything? Nevertheless a very enjoyable game even though i kept getting absolutely rekt. :D

@jordanfb Thank you very much for the the kind words! After all these nice comments I think I will continue working on it, adding a few things and polishing it. Not sure if I will sell it, but we'll see ^^
@mrboxbox thanks! Kinda. If you reach the 20th station you reached home and get a score, but I would recomend not playing until then, because the blance is way off and starting from a certain point nothing can even hurt you, so it gets a little repetitive. Thats one of the main things I will adjust in a post LD version :)

Felt very ftl like in the encounters, but I just wish there was more feedback from the game about what's actually going on. But overall, well done for the time you had :)

Good game. Can it be a little faster to accelerate the flight process?

I seem to be running into a bunch of bugs... when I get attacked, and lose the front half of my ship (all of my mounts and drills/etc) they still seem to be taking some power (maybe got refunded for the mounts, but not the arms?). Having no mounts anymore, I loaded up on cheap resources, started flying, someone offered to pay me $90 for 40, so I accepted, then arrived at the next station and I had 0 resources, $22 -_-, robbed! I think I'll restart...
Once I managed to survive past the first station, I had a lot of fun! Really liked winning combat, getting stuff, and being able to add on/repair some damage while flying to the next station. I got over $1000 when there were 11 stations left, I'll call that "winning" for now ;). Didn't notice there were hotkeys for placing things until the very end, really wish I had noticed that earlier!
Graphics style is nice and consistent, which is good. Gameplay is pretty fantastic, if lacking balance, for a Ludum Dare, I could definitely see wanting to play more of this =).
