LD38 — A Small World

They Dance With Asteroids by TurnWolf 2017-05-03T13:43:07Z

I really like the concept and the design.

However, i find the gameplay quite hard and tedious. I did not manage to bring the planet to the goldilocks zone. I had problems especially with getting water, because both H and O reduce core, and it seemed that every element, that increases core, also decreases water. I also agree with Sleepy about the asteroids.

Those problems can be easily fixed by some number tweaking and i love the gameplay idea.

An Adventurer's Exodus by Aggrathon 2017-05-16T16:29:16Z

Beatifully made. I'd be interested in a post-dare version with more content.

The game is very enjoyable. I was pleseantly suprised by the amount of stuff you managed to do. Sadly, i had the same bug as Talon (black screen when starting the final battle).

Unnamed Space Project by Devastus 2017-05-03T14:00:59Z

Wow, good job. I wanted to make something similiar, but it was way too ambitious for me.

The gameplay issues can be easily fixed by changing numbers, and the artwork is really good.

There could be some indication of crystal positions tho, they are crucial and there is not much time to find them.

Slimes in Panic by KayZ 2017-05-12T14:59:59Z

Nice concept, this could be fun when developed. You already have core gameplay idea and some implementation of the mechanics. I would be interested in playing the post-dare version of this.

Small World Fighters by noddingTortoise 2017-05-05T18:21:35Z

Cool concept! I can see a great party game in it, it is really fun.

Love the art, the spinning sky is awesome. ~~The only problem with it is that you can't easily find your char after spawning.~~ Didn't notice you already fixed that.

Some gameplay ideas for your rework that i thought of: * Energy meter, each bullet takes some energy * Energy shield, blocks bullets, toggleable and also uses energy * Spells: long range slow attack, invisibility, some form of dash to get out of bad situations, a wall that blocks projectiles

Little Space by KevTukk 2017-05-10T16:12:57Z

A nice concept very well executed. Love the asthetics and the music fits well. The gameplay is simple yet fun, that could be easily built on with more stuff. The negative things are small and already mentioned.

But the fatal flaw cannot be ignored - the unreadable g that looks like 0 in the tutorial font. /s

Jumpy Green by markusfisch 2017-05-09T17:49:26Z

Great design! It is suprisingly fun.

The only thing i didn't like was the clunky camera move when jumping and the instant landing of an astronaut when jumping on the same place. It felt strange, but i also don't know a better way to punish player for spamming the jump button.

Some simple sound effects would be awesome, too.

Asteroid Survival by obidubi 2017-05-16T17:26:40Z

Very well made. I love the concept and even now i played the game until i had thousands of each resource. I found a bit annoying that it is possible to click a machine while clicking ui.

Monster Island by Baraa Marwan 2017-05-16T16:57:11Z

Good job on making your first game!

I like the idea of multitasking and playing with mouse and keyboard seperately. I also like the pixel art and the design of the characters.

You however could do better movement. I don't like that you cannot walk in diagonals, if it's by design. If it's not, there are many guides how to make basic topdown movement in Unity.

Anyway, good work on joining Ludum Dare and making something playable!

A Couple of Questions, Volume II: Small Business, Small World by stoogebag 2017-05-02T16:26:36Z

Wow, this is by far the best game i played. The dialogues are amazing. I have no idea how you could make this in two days.

Spabullare by Chuck Zelvis 2017-05-02T15:57:26Z

@stoogebag

Thank you for your response.

Based on your feedback i added WebGL version, where the cursor does not show. I meant to fix the cursor before, but i totally forgot about it. There is still a bug that could be fixed changing one line of code, where shots of enemy ships disappear when you destroy them, but i don't want to upload the game again.

I also added a small explanation of mechanics to the game page, hope that's enough.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Street Chess by OddballDave 2018-04-30T09:18:56Z

Damn, your game puts my (also chess) game to shame. The chess rules took me whole Saturday and a good part of Sunday, and you managed to do that plus story, music and good art. Well done!

Core Dunk by stevenjmiller 2018-04-23T17:15:17Z

Wow, good job! Took me a lot of time to complete all levels, but it was a time well spent. The concept is perfect for a gamejam game.

Apocalypse Tycoon by javicepa 2018-04-23T15:50:19Z

The game concept is fun and easily expandable and the graphics and sounds are perfect. The only thing i can nitpick is the difficulty, but that can be easily fixed, or maybe i'm just bad. There's also a (maybe intended?) bug, where the coins don't reset after restarting the game, but because of it i actually managed to win

Great job!

Piloteer by Evil Brain 2018-04-26T18:30:29Z

I love the concept. The only annoyance i had is that enemies can shoot horizontally when they're close and you can't dodge the bullets. Other than that the execution is perfect.

mechROMANCER : a top down shooter dating sim about relationships by Useless 2018-04-30T08:06:55Z

I just discovered that i'm really bad at multitasking. Always wanted to date a socialist robot who likes comedies and human hearts. Anyway, smooth and challenging gameplay with pretty art and an actually good music that doesn't become annoying after a minute like most, well done.

Action TCG by fanatrick 2018-04-26T19:01:35Z

The game is great! Apart from little annoyances that are already mentioned (no visual representation of the queue and using shift and enter keys when not necessary) it's perfect.

The Merging by C1FR1 2018-04-30T08:50:23Z

Cool concept, but a bit complicated for me. I still don't get why sometimes when swapping the destination color wouldn't change even when the region was bigger than 3 blocks. In the end i just mashed buttons until i reached the score treshhold and after jumping to the next pillar i got to the top and repeated the process. However, this is rather problem with me than the game.

The most annoying thing for me was that when i was jumping to the next pillar into a single block of the current color, sometimes i wouldn't land in the block and just fall down. Everytime i jumped it was basically a coin toss if i would be able to get into the block or not.

Sill, this game is a really good concept for a strategy platformer. Even i, someone who doesn't like platformers that much, enjoyed myself and played it for quite a bit. My score is somewhere around 8000, i can't imagine how you got into millions :D

[LD41] Antibody by Horow 2018-04-23T15:09:35Z

Great work!

The game overall is fun. I love the idea of micromanaging for the current situation. The music really fits.

However, the keys W and S didn't work for me. I used arrow keys instead, but that made it quite unconfortable to press space or tab.

The game not being in English isn't a big deal, but i think you should explain the different colours of antibodies in the description. I still have no idea what each of them do.

Some balancing and respawning of enemies and guns wouldn't hurt, either.

Anyway, it's still fun and challenging. Maybe i'll borrow the micromanaging mechanic into a later project of mine.
