@bit-assembly Thank you, I totally forgot that! It should be fine now
This is an incredibly fun game with charming characters and challenging gameplay. Most fun I've had today!
I tried to play the web itch.io version but when I press S the dialogue doesn't progress.
A bug somehow made me win a level because I was clicking like a maniac at the try again screen, lol. Really really nice, it becomes challenging!
very hard mechanics but original! :))
Great level progression with the change of mechanics!
Great game! There seems to be some bugs though, particularly if you die on the door of a level, you get stuck on the Try Again screen but it seems to move you along in levels until you get to the boss, and then nothing happens. Would have loved to finish it. Good work overall!
@fudgefiddle I'm sorry to hear that! I don't know what could cause it, just tried and everything works fine... Maybe you unfocused the window?
Really nice entry! Solid gameplay, interesting mechanics, and funny as well.
Several of the levels were a bit buggy, I never saw levels 2, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 12 I think as when you get the "try again" screen if you wiggle your mouse near the door and press some keys before clicking try again it seems to skip the levels.
Would have benefited from some simple sound effects for the different things to give audio cue as to the next "attack".
I thought the octopus kind of thing at the "try again" screen was cute XD
Cool idea for mechanics. I didn't quite get the hang of it though  One thing that wasn't clear was what exactly triggered the end of the level.
Nice game!
The mechanics are original and pretty nice, they fit 100% with the theme of Keeping it Alive!
The graphics are simple but good, I feel like there should be a more complex background though
Where this game shines in my opinion is in the dialogs, they are pretty funny! Like, "Of course father uses lasers", it got a small laugh out of me! :3
The biggest downside in my opinion is the lack of sound, it would have been way better with at least some simple sound effects, but considering that you were all alone to make this all, in only 48h, I can understand
Overall, I like it!

Quite enjoyable! I like the baby creature, and I like the gameplay even if I find it to be a bit on the easy side. Using the mouse to shield the player from bullets is novel, givin it that danmaku flavour. Definitely needs audio to enhance the experience!
Fantastic use of simple, yet entertaining mechanics! Really like the dialogue animations and aesthetics. One critique is that perhaps soundFX could add another dimension but other than that pretty solid game!
At first I thought that levels would be too easy. But nice difficulty progression! I laughed at lasers "ah, typical dad trap" haha. I finished the game, but one question, lasers can't be avoided, right?
@grena that's right, lasers are instant death for your poor little sister. Though they can hit you just fine, since you're an awesome ghost :)
First try: I clicked on `quit` button instead `play` :sob:
@a-312 Did you try turning it off and on again?
I like the theming, and you managed to develop the dynamic of the father and son's relationship really well in such a small amount of dialogue! Gameplay-wise, it's kind of a meh. Not bad, but also quite easily exploitable. Overall, good job!
I really like this game. Great entry, good job!
