Great post processing and animations. I would like to see more variety in the scenery. I get that it's a subway, but just having orange rectangles to jump over is a little dull, especially considering that awesome lightning effect. There is also no increase in difficulty, you essentially do the same thing over and over until you mess up. Maybe make the lightning recharges get rarer the further down the subway you are? Overall, impressive visuals and solid gameplay.

Very cool, loved the animations and the warped visuals :D

The music was a bit repetitive after a while, and for the button smashers, mashing space / arrows/WASD to get back into the next attempt would be a quick win ( rather than the mouse UI )

Thanks for the great feedback! I thought about adding a city scenery once u get to a certain distance, but decided to use the rest of time I had to make a scoreboard system.

The game is visually very pleasant. Great job! As mentioned previously, the game is lacking a difficulty curve so it gets repetitive rapidly. I'm sure it's something that could be fixed by either adding different obstacles or gradually increasing the run speed.

Loved the slow motion when jumping! One time I had an orb on the other side of the wall, but it meant I got to see some funny wall running animation :D

This game looks fantastic and played really well in the browser! It would have been nice to see more scenery, but i get that its a jam. You really nailed the mood, and the music fit as well! Nicely done!

The game looks really good, I think if there was some more variety I could see myself playing this a lot!

Thanks for all the feedback! Ranking up difficult definitely would have been a good idea, I'll make sure to use that in my next game jam

Nice graphics and effects! The slow motion is a nice touch and gives you enough time to react and plan ahead. Good game overall!

Pretty neat endless runner, the music gets a little bit repetitive after a while. Besides that it's a great entry! :)

i really like the visuals, but i think this top down view don't works well on a game when you need to jump, i also felt the upgrades extremely hard on start, when you are getting how to play, the music is great but i think it's too loud.

for making it in such a short time it is a good job youve done. i like the visulas too ! nice one

llaumegui 2021-10-13 07:35

the game is cool ! i think you can improve a little bit the controls as the strafing felt a bit slippery ! It's pretty nice you managed to to that alone in so little time ! Congratz

Nice visual! A little bit easy though. I found a bug that the player can jump out of the carriage and keep running ;)

Good job with the visuals and sound. The gameplay is a classic endless runner, it's pretty easy though. It didn't seem to get any harder over time so I could play it forever. I had some issue on full screen because of ultra wide resolution. I could see the level spawning in at the top and I had some unstable camera wobbling (was it intentional?) if I hit an obstacle. But otherwise its a cool endless runner.

I like the idea that you can go out from the main path at very left or right and still grab a blue orb, don't know it this is by design or a bug but I sympathizes with this solution. As others have said, too easy...but addictive anyway. Visuals are great, nice composition and aesthetic 3D models. Grats!

zackary-bazzle 2021-10-13 21:19

Thanks for all the compliments and feedback! I will definitely make use of it next jam. @barrier as far as the fullscreen issue that may just be because the chunks are loading to fast or maybe to slow??? I don't exactly know, but the camera wobble was a mechanic I added for realism. @rufson As far as the issue you encountered, I honestly have no idea... at first when I was making the spawning system for the orbs you could just run completely straight and you would collect them all. I adjusted the values from then though so now most of the spawning is completely random.
