Had fun playing this! One thing I would suggest is bumping the ship back a bit when it hits a wall so it's not as easy to just get stuck on a wall and take a ton of damage.

That was a pretty cool concept! It's a very tricky game. So long as you take your time you can slowly maneuver the level once you have the bomb, but I found it pretty difficult to recover. That bomb goes flying everywhere when it hits something. I thought the music would get annoying, but I actually liked how it sounded like it was made from explosions. It felt like part the game's theme. Nice work!

Nice job finishing the game with sound, music and everything! I would suggest making it less loud and polishing up the gameplay, but I understand the time constraint. Keep it up!

Congratulations!

For having made it in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 49

:)

(I only found a little bit weird that the victory animation is an "explosion", I almost thought I had done something wrong at first)

very tricky controls but pretty cool once you get the hang of it pun intended!

the nuke bouncing immediately if you pick it up from the ground doesn't seem to be intended though, otherwise its a fun game

I don't understand how to play, sorry. I'm just getting close to the nuke, some line appear, and nothing else happens.

Neat idea and great execution! I got a bit confused that you explode when you win a level, but didn't stop me from enjoying it :D

Nice game, I did have to mute the audio because my ears were slightly exploding when music + sfx were playin

zhenda-hu 2021-10-07 07:34

Really cool game design that definitely matches the unstable theme very well. I did have a bit of trouble learning the controls at first, and the music and SFX was a bit distracting.

WOW, The MUSIC! Oh my, what a punchy and fun melody! Great game, I like it very much. Thank you for making ship speed linear, so the game wouldn't be frustratingly hard :) Very well done

bootak 2021-10-07 12:26

**TIP:** (for other players): Launch this in Chrome. Firefox (on Windows) doesn't seem to like TIC-80 games, and doesn't play music correctly

Couldn't get past the second level, because the nuke physics kept going crazy. Seems like and interesting idea otherwise. Also wasn't there an old arcade game like this?

foxtrot-roger 2021-10-07 18:21

Very cool concept, I didn't get super far because the physics is a bit too crazy for me. Nice art too, good job!

monninen 2021-10-07 18:21

Fun game, I like the graphics (I love that explosion effect when nuke hits something). Music is a little too loud.

reiqy 2021-10-07 18:26

The game is fun. Controls are bit clunky, but I think it fits. The music is crazy, the graphics are simple. I'd say it's very good submission. Also it's very hard for me :D But I'm just bad at games

Feels like a spiritual successor of Atari's Lunar Lander. I found the best way to play was to keep the ship pointed mostly upwards, otherwise the combined gravity just makes the ship unstable, and with the nuc, forget about it.

Difficulty level is very high. I'm cool with missiles one-hitting the nuc, but picking up the nuc the physics are frustrating. I would try using a flexible rope sim instead of a fixed-length linear tether, maybe something like in this [Sebastian Lague video](https://youtu.be/PGk0rnyTa1U?t=292)

The nuc like bounces off the walls like a ping pong ball sometimes and other times not. You can kind of get away with that kind of thing since the theme is unstable, but in general I found the nuc's physics to be too unpredictable, but also I think a flexible tether like mentioned above might help with this.

One little choice I thought was cool and unique is a playable credits screen. It would be cool if there was some level geometry so you could fly around or dodge missiles or something in that credit scene.
