Took a couple tries to figure out what I was supposed to do and that I was supposed to eat trees. Was kind of annoying the game didn't autorestart after dying/winning when I hit enter and instead I had to refresh the page. It was pretty fun for what it was.

Simple fun. Took a second to figure out what I had to eat though.

I like that the map (at least as it seems to me) is generated dynamically, and that you can win by going in more than a predefined path. The game lacks quite much in the graphics and in player feedback though, as it would have been nice to see the blob shriking when taking damage for example. Finally, I would have preferred a blob that ate houses and buildings instead of a vegetarian one, ahahah. Nice job!

A score counter would add so much to this. Nice game though

Nice little exploration game, I managed to win but wasn't sure if there was supposed to be a way for me to find the portal. By the way diagonal movement is faster, might want to normalize that vector!

Is this game procedurally generated? Is it random each time I play? The tank bullets were too small, was hard for me to see. Great entry, thanks for submitting!

@demogorgon @wet-band-aid @sanjuro @nicolas-diniz @2kah @etdofresh Thank you for all your nice comments. Feedback in the game is definately lacking, both in terms of damage impact, and the overall objective. It's something that I knew was a weak area, but didn't have time to improve.

The map is dynamic except for the starting town. I wanted to add more hand drawn areas, that would break up the monotony.

@sanjuro haha, it's not that I envisioned it as vegetarian, I just thought houses wouldn't provide much sustenance. Having little people running around in panic would really have been nice. It could do with a lot more graphical elements.

@2kah good catch on the diagonal movement. I didn't actually think of that, but the bug is obvious now that you mention it.

A nice concept! It could use more player feedback, right now it's difficult to "feel" anything, whether it's receiving damage or eating trees. It would be nice if the blob grew bigger the more trees it ate - it would make for an interesting difficulty progression. The dynamic map generation is nice. Overall I've enjoyed playing it. ;)

I am a fan of the art style. The game was extremely intuitive. The controls felt nice. The game would have been better with any kind of audio. For me the UI was not very good at all compared to the games art work which was awesome. Over all good job, and keep it up!

I think the tank's projectiles are way too small. On top of them moving at high speeds, they are incredibly hard to see, even making it 2 pixels wider would fix the issue. Other than that, the controls were nice and I even won the game! I've played a handful of games similar to this without a win condition, so the fact that your game can be beaten makes it miles better by comparison.

I liked the simple art, but I was half expecting the blob to grow and be able to eat bigger things similar to the game"tasty planet".

Weird little game. I was hoping to be able to grow and eat the houses too but I guess that wasn't part of the plot :D I didn't feel like I was in any danger at all. The game would feel a bit less janky if the edible objects were triggers, so you wouldn't smash into them all the time. Good job anyway!

I thought that the idea was pretty cool, though I think it may have been too easy. I think that a clear indication where the border of the map is would've been helpful. Great concept to expand on!
