Love seeing so many WebGL builds of people's games! This is a really cool idea. The banner system kind of reminded me of Tooth and Tail in a way. I think the player moves a little slow, but if you sped them up a bit, this could be a really fun online web game! I kept thinking of all the .io games out there, and this could definitely be one of them. Good job on your entry, very creative :)

Really cool take on the theme. I love that you can name your religion and the avatar creator. BTW, the avator creater is the least racist one I've ever seen. It even allows for pink people!

An outstanding submission! The art and animations are really fun and cute. The music is really catchy, and the amount of polish is absurd. You even managed to fit in a character customization screen. It would be better if you had just a bit more audio-visual feedback for when you can convert or place banners, but overall, a really nice take on the theme, a very innovative game, and it also includes a touch of humor.

Webgl version is getting unresponsive sometimes. Got this after trying to start from the tutorial. Maybe related to scene change.

Pretty funny game. The art and soundtrack were really charming, reminded me of a mobile game called Polytopia. The sound effects were also pretty nice and fit with the games tone. The character customization is cool, but I wish it had a proper color selector rather than just a select few colors. As for the gameplay, there should really be some kinda of indicator for when you're able to convert people. Also, I think it would be better if the game used the WASD keys for movement rather than using mouse clicks. IMO it feels really stiff and difficult to use.
Interesting game and a unique topic. Unfortunately, the entire game window does not fit on the screen of my laptop, even after switching to full-screen mode on itch.io :/
really liked this. the customization is nice too. sometimes i would be right next to someone and hitting space and they wouldn't convert but maybe they were just skeptics. love the concept and execution would be cool if it was like a real time multiplayer sort of thing where you compete against other players. great job.

@krebzor Thanks for the feedback! If you've been the web hosted version I think the issue you're talking about is the UI scaling, which was caused by an oversight on our part where we developed everything in 1920 x 1080. We will be pushing a fix out as soon as we have free time :) In the mean time I suggest trying out the mac/windows one, theres three times as many villagers that spawn and it adds to the madness!
Fun game. The idea is good. I liked the graphics a lot but I felt that the music was a little off. The ASWD movement was way more difficult that using the click. As soon as I reached a high populated area I understood why you told us to opt for the standalone version. Great job!

I like the 3D UI elements. It's also awesome that you took the time to include some "character" customization! I didn't see any reason not to just walk around constantly mashing the banner button - that seems like the optimal strategy to me. I think it would make sense to limit the banners.

Okay this game was super fun. Gameplay was exciting and the animations were awesome. just had a hard time navigating through players.
This is a fun game, above all because of the way you get drowned in followers ;) I didn’t manage to destroy enemy banners though, is there some hidden condition @robstao ?
I like the idea of building my own religion, it felt awesome being a prophet. I loved the jumping people everywhere. I feel as though I wish there were more to gameplay. Or interactivity with the opposing prophet. Otherwise, good bones to a game!

Funny one! When you get inside the crew it was bad cos you can't keep moving, but its definetly a great concept that I can see easily fixed and improved as a multiplayer mini game as there are thousands that has succeed
I felt a little bit like caught in a moshpit :D nice idea and concept, it was fun even though I was not fully aware of what I was doing and what the aim was. The last screen stating that I won was too large vor my (rather large) screen and not fully visible. Great submission!

Game window do not fit laptop's. There is a scroll bar which is a bit annoying. Liked the idea and the perspective.
This is a humerous game, made me laugh. I found it especially fun that you could name your own religion. The second time I started it, I think the enemy didn't do anything, because the counter was just stuck at 142, but other than that I think I did not find any bugs. I also really liked the minimap and the buildings you had in the world!

@asimov-io hmm, you should be able to destroy the banners. We might have broke something in the recent update we pushed yesterday. Will go bug splatting on the next day off :) glad you enjoyed the game otherwise!
Very funny game, I think it has potential to be expanded upon. It was a great interpretation of the theme. Frustrating when I couldn't move due to my sea of followers lol. Nice work!

The massive crowd of people jumping up and down in unison was mesmerizing and the weird, slightly annoying music fit the theme of the game perfectly. Good job putting this together in such a short time frame

A sweet game, that takes the theme in a direction I hadn't considered. Interesting gameplay and a very cute aesthetic, particularly the waddling people.
I like the Actions cooldown mechanic: one cooldown for any action. Restrictive, which makes you think. I didn't understand the purpose of the banners though, if there was an explanation I missed it. Nice music and I liked the rustiness of the movement of the little guys!

A couple of bugs, if you complete the game (I won on my go) then if you restart the enemy priest doesn't move beyond their starting point and your followers total carries on over to the next game. Also, sometimes when holding Q when standing right next to a flag it would appear my animation was set to laying down on the floor.
It was a interesting game, I quite like the mechanics but all the controls felt a little sluggish. Would definitely like to see this idea expanded upon.

If you did it beyond the compo, it'd be cool if you added things for the priest to do, and maybe had the god character too.

Pretty funny concept and a nice tough to let you customize your character and a religion name. You don't see such options often in a jam game. Everything worked as expected and I didn't run into any major trouble or bugs. Impressive work!
