I could never kill a monster, no matter how many times I hit him! Then I read I had to charge -- still nothing. :( Oh well.

Oh I did it! I thought charge meant charging up to swing or something, not charging at an enemy, haha!

Possibly a bug; I killed one of them then died, then when I restarted it was still dead
hard!

interesting concept, might wanna find out why your right and down moves faster than your left and up.
This truly kicks-ass. And the branch seems, maybe not that, unconventional, but it STICKS (get it?) :)
That was super hard. It took me about 20 tries to defeat the two enemies and reveal the stairs. I think part of the difficulty was that it was hard to tell if I was doing damage, or being effective (they take a lot of hits). I know there is audio, but the sounds were very similar, so I had difficulty telling if it worked. Perhaps changing graphics or color to show progression on defeating an enemy would work?

Nice and fun game. It is hard to grasp at first. With a good difficulty progression it could be realy good. I cheated a bit to win by going down from the enemy's right side, where his bullet cant hit me. Keep up the good work!

the control is hard to get used to
space and Z key is not a good combination for me
maybe change it to Z and X
Had an issue where the down button seemed to stick and my player would keep moving down even if I released the key.
@Franklin's Ghost: fixed, there was a problem when resetting, now should be fine.
@syawqy: alright, changed control scheme to z for charging and x for swinging, maybe it is better now.
Pretty fun.
Really difficult to build up enough steam to kill them. If I kill one and then die, after the restart the firing is out of sync, making it harder to dodge both bullets.

z and x is kind of a bad choice as well, as i use a qwertz-keyboard layout which is a standard in germany (z and y are switched) :(
Had problems with a few games because of this…

oh and why are you faster when you walk to the right or down and slower when you walk up or left?
This was super challenging. I like how the player's movement speed and the enemy's attack speed are set in such a way that you really have to focus and be aware of your surroundings in order to survive. To make this more satisfying, it would be great to have clearer visual/audio signs for your attacks and their effect on the enemies. Nice work!

I tried a lot and succeed in killing one! But really hard and the move left/right was too slow x)
Woof! Tough game, especially since the enemies can shoot through walls, but it made it more fun. Good thing you included the sound cues, I had a similar problem with hit feedback in my game. I really like the pen logo, great style that!
