i would upload the game to itch.io, using ld's site isnt always the best for some games.
I'm really upset about this, the other level isn't showing up on itch.io meaning if I uploaded it here it won't work either, and I don't think I can upload anymore..
I have the html file in index.html format. I don't understand why this isn't working lol
https://mikocore.itch.io/claustro you can play the "game" here
I'll upload a video about how it's supposed to originally be.
Man, I thought the art was really beautiful, but I think it could have been better applied to the level as well. I couldn't quite understand where to go and sometimes the character's sprite was buggy. As a compliment, there is also the soundtrack, it gave me a very good energy.
Shame you couldn't finish your game, but props for submitting something :)
The joys of uploading, always a pleasure :') When you make a platformer, don't hesitate to setup a seamless background so you don't have to worry about the background all the way through (at least on the very last layer). Same thing for out-of-bounds, add a little position check on an axis to re-tp it somewhere close if it falls too much, so you don't have to worry about it for the rest of the project. Carry on!
@mikocore It didn't work for us at first because I zipped incorrectly. You don't have to zip the parent folder, just select the index and the other stuff and zip everything together. Your graphics are beautiful!
hey man, congrats on your first game jam! I like your artstyle and the theme you were going for is a very nice idea ^^. Sadly there is not too much to explore, but that's how it goes when you don't have too much time. Still, good job on getting something up here, that's the first step to success! :D
Well, sadly, there is nothing to rate except audio and graphics, but both were good, though. I hope you will be able to fix problems with a compiling build. Good luck!
the elements for the platformer games are there and a solid progress for a first platformer game. Here are few tips for making a platform games speeding the development process: - first try to nail down the core game mechanics using just the geometry shapes or a static image as a player or enemies. - after that add the levels with just the shapes. - Once thats done and happy, add sounds/music. - And finally, is to add the sprites, animations and all the juice to the game. - Keep up the good work and keep making games.
Thank you everyone who gave feedback!! it means a lot<3
I just wanted to say, one thing that's also pretty frustrating that I still dont know how to fix is the camera not being correct, I changed the index to the borders and in godot it works just fine. But when I uploaded it.... wellllllll......... But it's okay. Me and Johnum plan to continue on the progress of the game and upload it on steam one day and hopefully I can fix everything. But.. urrently there is a wa-r outside.. after everything cools down we'll get right back to work!

The mood is definitely already there with this great music! Too bad you couldn't finish it because the idea of having a claustrophobic boy as playable character sound really interesting and I havent seen a similar idea during the jam. And from the atmosphere that is already there I feel like you could have created a great game if you had more time. Hope you will try again next time!
Nice start to a game! The jogging animation is my favorite, and the music fits the winter vibe. I look forward to seeing your future game jam submissions.
Cool game! Definitely a great start to something more, good music and great visuals! Really unfortunate you couldn't finish this time, but I hope you all the best in the future!
