Stunning pixel art project. Respect for the customization of the character. Great design and interesting gameplay!

Nice job! It was a little dark to see, but making it full screen helped a lot. I was a little confused at how to attack the first round because I somehow got distracted when that prompt showed up. But saw it second time playing. Nice music and guitar playing, really sets the mode and matches its overall dark theme. Battle music was pretty sweet. Thanks for making it accessible via html!

Very moody game with nice music. The abilities are pretty cool! The colours are very dark, making it hard to see what is going on. I suggest some other way of managing movement between encounters, because using the turn based system for normal movement is quite tedious.

Wow, seriously impressive graphics and sound. The controls where a little clunky at first, but I got use to them. The game play felt well balanced.

Excellent submission!

Ah I'm a sucker for turn-based RPGs so I very much enjoyed the combat in this game. Although the environment is a bit too quiet for my liking, although I suppose it fits the desolate wasteland sort of feel. Your music is pretty nice and oddly fitting over something that I initially thought should've been more atmospheric. The main gripe I have is that the game has a lack of feedback for many of the things I do, so I don't exactly know when my turn has been used up or not, but otherwise good game!

I was impressed that you squeezed a kind of character creator into a jam game; however it waas SO DARK! I couldn't see anything. I wasn't even sure it had loaded until the eye selections showed up a bit more clearly.

Good job getting your guitar out and recording a personalized little atmospheric loop, to add atmosphere to your game. I did however have a lot of trouble really seeing anything that was going on because of how incredible dark everything was. I must confess however that I had no idea how to play...I was moving, and ending my turn and encountering enemies but I didn't know what I was doing at all which left me a little frustrated as I feel there may have been something good that I was missing.

I think if you could bring out some colour, or at least make it brighter and perhaps made the fundamentals of gameplay a bit more obvious it would've done justice to what appears to be something fairly intricate. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your entry!

I wanted to write a review, but @MadeByChaz wrote about the same thing. I like his feedback, nothing is visible.

Really cool game. I understood that I need to move to the right. A bit difficult but really enjoyed it. Thank you.

Very solid entry for compo. Nice Job!

The music and atmosphere is great in your game! I love turn-based games and your idea of keeping the ball close to the hero is nice. Sadly the game is too dark on my monitor. I cannot see the enemies clearly.

I like tactics games, but for me the contrast was too low so it was really straining to try to see everything, also the movement between fights felt tedious. Is there a goal ? I played a long time but just had to quit because it didnt seem to end

Cool entry, near the end moving all characters one after another was a bit cumbersome, wished there was a way to move the whole party. I reached the vessel, I think it is a bit too easy.

drevilbrain 2020-04-25 08:46

I wish I could move all my units at once and auto end the turn when I'm out of combat.

rafa-braga 2020-04-28 04:39

I liked the mood and the art, music is nece too. The battle system is a little bit confuse, but im sure that you can improve it :)

Interesting, movement out of combat is a bit of a nuisance, moving directly to a new event could help.

Liked the music and the pixel art.

Fighting could benefit from a more restricted arena, enemies without a ranged attack are doomed by continuously moving backwards.

Keep up the good work outside LD, I'm looking forward to an expanded version!

I loved the pixel art! The game and its mood immediately jumped out and grabbed me, and I appreciate for a combo game being able to see the interactable tiles and get a feel tactics part of it.

I like that you can customize your own charakter. It is a cool turn-based-RPG for ja JAM-Game. I like it, even though I found it a little slowpaced. I really enjoyed the Music :)

Although the gameplay felt a bit dull, the music and the overall mood were great. Like that you used an actual instrument, for a 48h compo game no less! Character creations was also quite a neat little addition.

The scaling of the UI seemed to be constant pixel size or something (and so, at least with WebGL on a higher res screen, the elements were displayed quite tiny). If this is the case, I would recommend to change the canvas scaling mode to scale with screen size (+expand) in Unity, as the game was seemingly made with the engine. It should make the UI display the same with screens of all sizes. Tho overall, not a big deal.

Quite a solid entry, especially for only a one man in 48h. Keep it up!
