LD53 — Delivery

Sabotage, Inc. by yopox 2023-05-02T14:49:18Z

Nice tower defense game. I really liked the idea of bomb boxes, using enemy drops to kill another enemies is something I've never seen before in other defense games so far. Wish it was used more often. Also I liked the color palette here, it gives nice retro feeling. I felt the game speed was kinda slow tho, even with turbo mode. Wish this game had more options regarding speed. But still, nice job!

Age of Mail by Swordfish 2023-05-01T06:50:21Z

I liked the graphics here, it gives a unique atmosphere of sailing inside a map. I hope that there were some kind of minimap, it would make those cities easier to find and make players rely less on memorization. Nice job overall :)

Dante's Delivery Service by Scott Steffes 2023-05-03T12:23:04Z

This is amazing! I love that delivery simulator suddenly turns into a fps game, and both modes are fun to play. I think the boost pads adds a bit of depth to this game, since it encourages to look at the world and makes the delivery more skill involved. QoL features like map system and the arrow on a box pointing to the destination were also great too. My only gripe was that fighting demons felt too risky, since spawning rate is so high and there's no invincibility frames. But maybe that's just me having a skill issue, nonetheless it was a fantastic experience!

Superstar Surgeon: a Sensitive Subject by Fupi 2023-05-01T07:53:24Z

That music was sick! Even though the theme is not that bright, you managed to deliver a good story with a bit of humor. I also liked that there are multiple endings, that gives replayability to the game. I wish that there was an option to skip already watched cutscenes to see those endings faster. Great entry!

Package sorter by Tul Games 2023-05-02T15:32:14Z

I agree with Frey that the game needs more visual/audio feedback, such as a signal that tells you that packages are sorted nicely/poorly, and another signal that tells how many packages you can miss until the game is over. Still it was a nice game, I found those boxes flying around really funny :)

WitchDelivr by alpacalypse 2023-05-03T12:42:08Z

That was cute, the story and the little detail when hitting a pedestrian adds a charm to this game. Guess it could have increasing difficulty over time so that the game feels more dynamic, nice job :)

Beacons Of Light:Lighthouse by ZHANG YING 2023-05-02T13:58:43Z

Atmosphere and artstyle were really cool, I liked the contrast between light and dark. Also achievement system was interesting, wish I had a way to see what achievements are there (unless I'm missing something). The path that I had to follow was sometimes unclear tho, maybe you could put arrow signs to indicate where to go. Nice job overall :)

Hotel Frenzy by LightPotato 2023-05-01T08:04:49Z

@tommpudding Oh sorry, I thought opting out of Audio category would be ok, I should've read the rules more thoroughly. Just changed this submission to JAM, thanks!

@fupi Thanks! I had a hard time deciding what control scheme to use and eventually decided mouse controls for its fast-paced gameplay, glad I sticked with it

Bus Hostage ! by Aymco 2023-05-02T15:04:08Z

I liked the idea of throwing hostages to protect the bus from police cars, the idea and graphics reminds me of TABS. I think sound effects to notify that police cars are approaching would make this fairer experience. Well done!

Undeveloped Delivery by RabbitAddix 2023-05-02T15:49:49Z

Simple yet pretty fun, I liked the idea of having more boxes slows you down. I also liked the changing background, that's a nice detail. Guess it could be more lenient regarding hitboxes, as this can make 'that was so close' situations and make the game more engaging. Nice job overall!
