You have my respect. I always wants to come up with simple yet challenging and fun idea and every time i try to do so i failed. But your game delivery this without any problem. :)
Tips for improvement:
- button to mute the sound :)
A perfect game imo. Nice restrained colour palette. Consistent pixel density. Fun game that requires some timing and puts a nice spin an old type of game. Good job!
This is the type of game I wish I'd made on my single-dev jams. Simple and perfect and HTML5.

Really great idea and implementation. And the first game I've played this Jam that made me rage quit because of my own uselessness ;)

Wow this is super great! Such a simple concept but so much deeper than I initially thought! The fact that the puff of air takes time to reach the ball, AND that it can be blocked creates an interesting timing challenge. I love it!! Awesome entry :)
I love the polished minimalism of this! (I too have made a pixelated HTML5 game this jam, but nonetheless I envy the straightforwardness of your design.)
Having sideways movement controls is an interesting twist on the "Flappy Bird" mechanic. Well done!
Good game. Maybe a bit to hard, the inevitable wont have to wait too long. Gameplay is fun and well thought, art and music go well together. Great entry!

Graphics are great, sfx fits the game very well, well done!
having the spikes block the air puffs created an interesting challenge. it definitely made the game more of a puzzle that requires lots of trial and error for how to time the puffs to get past the spikes, but the fact that you reset every time was pretty disheartening.
also, i don't see the point of having 3 lives if you reset either way.

@sakura-magika Thanks for the feedback! I don't know if you just missed it but there are checkpoints throughout the level.
That's a crafty little game, very hard for me but I can appreciate the design nevertheless. Took me a bit of time to figure out that I can "puff" it at any distance as long as I am not blocked by a spike - at first I thought puffs only work at close distance. Did you manage to complete the level yourself? Definitely reminds me of the flappy bird, haha. Cash in on this while it's fresh!

I'll see if there is a way to communicate to the player that "puffing" can work at any distance. Maybe integrating it into the level, like a wall of spike that requires 2 subsequent puffs.
Fun but devilishly hard! Maybe you could throw people weak like me a bone, and destroy a spike that I lose a life to? Just that I can maybe get further along :)

kinda addictive. i like the fact that you force the player to not play flappy bird by lvl design. i dont like the fact that things can block the air puff. feels like im out of control. other wise the sound is fitting. a easy mode would be nice because im very bad.
I had a little mind-blown moment when I realized the air puff meets the ball while it's still in the air. Nice work!

Reminded Bounce + Flappy Bird mixed together. Great combination with nice, simple, old-school graphics and sound. For me it was hard, but I don't really like flappy-bird-like games either.

Quite challenging and fun! I liked the NOKIA/Gameboy style. Congrats on the submission, it turned out great, although I don't think it fit the theme very well.
Really fun, *really* hard game! I enjoyed playing through this one, it's very very well made! I like the art and sound effects, but I didn't play long enough to get used to the game itself. 4/5 stars, great job! :D
@chingle ahh, i feel pretty silly now, i actually missed both the check point and the fact you could move forward and backward. that changes everything! played again, made it a lot farther than before. i think making the check points visually indicated would be a big improvement, and maybe tracking your furthest distance as well as time.

Simple but effective game. First impression is "Flappy bird" but then you realise... no this has a lot more to it. You can move left and right, but also the delay from shooting the air to when it impacts the bubble is an interesting dynamic. Then you also need to consider if there is a path between them. really enjoyed it, a great challenge.
