Love the retro graphics and the puzzle game idea is really cool. I do wish that that was easier to move the enemy because sometimes the game glitches out and the player moves through the barriers, ending the run. Maby decrease the mass of the enemy?
Congratulations you created the zombie Trapper genre lol

Great game! The retro gameboy style is great and I really like the idea. I noticed how the people get a little janky when bumping into things. It looks like you're using unity. If you're not already, it might make it less jittery if you do movement like this instead: `rigidBody2D.MovePosition()` If you use the movePosition method on the rigid body instead of moving the transform it should perform better.

Enjoyed playing the game. Really liked the graphic in the game, gave a real good game boy retro style :) The people gets stuck sometimes, making a few of the levels very simple, as they where not moving. But had a great time playing it.

Graphics are totally my style. The gameplay is addicting and I love the mechanic of dragging around things to protect the people. The physics can act a little strange at times but still this was a really cool and innovative game.

Fun idea and nice retro graphics, I enjoyed making the players spinning real fast!
Hello! Congrats on your game! I find that the most valuable playtesing feedback is given while playing so I use voice to text while playing and narrate my experience. Still need votes to get a score, would you my playing and scoring my game? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/run-trinki-run Thank you and below is my feedback!
Okay first off I'd really like the color scheme and that there is a color scheme I wish I didn't play games about Corona but okay meat if it wasn't clear to me what the wooden obstacles were but I figured it out. Okay I am trying to separate the people so I block one person in and that should be it nice and now I wait. The right now after solving a level I had to just wait and when I say soul if I mean ono poke after boxing a healthy person into a corner there's not much to do I can just mess around which is fine but I wish there was like a hurry up and we could try doing that by increasing the time scale if you're using physics to move these characters around which seems like it from the collisions okay so now let's put these two characters to the corner box them in and that should be it nice I like the music it's definitely supporting it. . Now they're more so now I need to First Clear the way and then put my characters up inside the box. okay then I can use the wood to lock them in yep very powerful. I feel very powerful that I both healthy and stuff sick people around no I got wet oh the sick people. Our sick or healthy I was protecting the sick people wish I guess is fine so it is okay for only one healthy person to remain okay but now I can't move the cats or rats I think but I can use the one of the enemies to move the rats but no touching who also makes my character sick okay I know I'm using it would us a baton to push away the characters yes oh now I only have one healthy character okay so I am now playing it doesn't exert a damn when I'm just holding and moving the the character the healthy character corner boxing mechanic that would be really cool would be if the characters got paranoid

Good idea and nicely implemented from what I can tell through my playthrough. It was a bit easy being able to move the people. I think it would be more interesting if you could only move the environment, though later levels would be very difficult. The music loop was a bit short and got repetitive but the first 3 times it was good. Liked it overall.

Like the physics in the game. I figured out to just let all but one person get infected and hold the last one with your mouse since it was easy to dodge the infected.

I enjoyed this quite a bit! It's not super challenging- it was easy enough to drag one person away to keep just one alive if I wanted, but I really liked how there were a bunch of different ways to win as well. Herding everyone to try to save them all was a lot of fun. Great work!
Nice game! Quite fun and engaging! Some extra sound effects could be nive, like when someone collides with a wall. It's a cool idea, well developed. I like the art of the game and the difficulty curve. Well done! :D

Cool concept, could use some kind of time control to make the level finish faster. Otherwise nice job !

fun idea! though the sense of challenge just isn't there with the ability to move players and objects, feels more like a sandbox with a timer. if you decide to further develop this or develop something like this I would recommend you limit the players abilities or have them change from different levels giving them agency over only certain things or for a certain amount of time. it would be really fun to build a little hut of logs and see how it fairs against a horde of zombos
nice little game gameboy style, music is quite fitting! Looking forward to see what you can come up with level design, using huge levels and complexity but keep it lo-fi
I liked the gameboy style. In awe that people can create a game all themselves so well done. On level 3 not sure if a bug (when you first have x2 players to keep alive), if I bump into one of the sick then they also turn healthy? I do loose life but It's just the animation that changes, but I kind of like it! on purpose or not! I also thought they were cauliflowers that we are trying to keep away from the bugs trying to eat them... thus level 1 I tried feeding it to the bug ooops... until I read the description again. Both ways it works :)
Love the style and artwork. Thought I had the game figured out when I just held the zombie against the side, but then more than 1 zombie appeared.

Really love the comments so far! Thank you all for playing the game and giving good feedback! I love to hear what people's strategies were, and how they changed when a new situation occurred where they could no longer employ that same strategy.
Really liked the color theme and art style. Took me a while to realize witch one were the alive and dead ones tho xD After realizing that my tactic was to keep one of them alive in a corner and it worked well until the one I was focusing died before I got him to a corner :(
Strange game mechanic, but pretty visual style and bg music. May be be better if we cannot move people, only walls.

I really liked the original gameboy style graphics. As for the gameplay, it was a bit too easy, as you could just grab a guy and move him away from the enemies. Some ways that I can think of that this could be improved: - You can't move the people, only the wood - The enemies could target the healthy people, instead of wandering randomly
Diverging a bit further from the current implementation, maybe some kind of building mechanic instead of moving around the wall while the game is actually live?
Anyway, nice little game :)
HAHA! THe whole time I thought I was protecting the white ones and avoiding the grey ones.

I liked the retro gameboy aesthetic but I think the gameplay was to trivial to justify so much waiting!!

I love the style of this! It's pretty smooth and the flow is great. The sounds give me nostalgia too! Nice one
its a really nice little game, and it fits the game very well! I did have a ltitle bit of trouble at first because I really didn't get which was the ones to be avoided. I guess the end result is the same though lol. Maybe make the infected ones move in a more deliberate fashion? or have their arms in a different position. something that makes their silhouette different from the non infected ones. Other than that, good job!

neat idea and decent execution, the game was simple but fun (once i figured out what i was supposed to do) the graphics are serviceable and overall the game is pretty good. nice work!

neat simple mechanic and well executed the best thing imo is that its funny by mechanic, not by using jokes, memes or whacky graphics

Interesting... at first I wasn't quite sure what to do because I couldn't read, probably. though the machanics are simple, it it a bit harder than it seems. nice work

Fun little game! I love the Gameboy-style graphics and the idea behind this game, and it was fun, but I thought it was a little bit too easy. If you're down to one healthy person it's really easy to just trap that guy in a corner and nothing will happen to him. My favourite method for the first levels: Just kick them around with the logs. The gameplay is still fun though, it feels like a nice little sandbox. Music was fitting but a bit repetitive, could have used some additional bars.
All in all, cool game, I like it! Good job!

I like the concept of the game but some aspects of the execution could also be improved: - The physics are a bit jittery and sometimes the characters get stuck to walls; - Although i like the gameboy aesthetic, it's not instantly clear what the sprites represent, like who are the healthy/infected people, and at first when i saw the "feces"i just thought it was a weirdly shaped block, since it is immovable, until i noticed people getting infected when touching it; - Also i think you should keep track of how much people you kept alive on each stage. Since there isn't a scoring system, in the game the main objective becomes just reaching the end of the level, and that is pretty easy when you keep just one of the healthy people protected.
Anyway nice work!
It's a interesting little game. It's a bit hard to know who is who in this game.... and it would have been nice if the wood blocks would not move (or not so easily) if the infected run against them
Nice to play one for those submissions that has a new game mechanic that I've not seen before. It's a fun game that's quick to pick up and play. Would work well as a mobile app title. Well done!

Cool idea. It's kinda easy to cheese the levels (clicking and holding an item / character can let you get away with some stuff you probably shouldn't do). The music is fitting, but does get repetitive. Graphics are pretty clean. Overall a solid entry.
Awesome game! The art is great, music is awesome, and a pretty nice idea ! Great job!! :)

Hey, I finally got to play this, and it was pretty good! Interesting idea that you've got to separate them out, but I dunno about the balancing. The game was pretty easy, particularly because you only needed one uninfected person by the end. It was always possible to isolate at least one person, then it was just a waiting game. I think there should've been more requirements on later stages, like there could be 'VIPs' that you need to protect, or possibly some infected people could be aggressive and move towards uninfected people to make it harder and less random. The core idea is neat, but the randomness of their movement and simple goal made most levels trivial to beat.
Otherwise though, the art is neat and the gameplay was clear. I didn't need to read anything to figure out the mechanics, which is great design. I also like how early stages had shelters partially built to suggest strategies. Overall the game's great, I think there's a lot of potential to expand upon!
