I really like this. World-building and writing are well done. The focus isn't really on branching narratives but figuring out the "puzzle" which was a great aha moment for me. Plus it fits the theme extremely well. I love the introduction that you only really understand in subsequent playthroughs. And play through I did, I think I got all possible endings. I'm just gonna go ahead and say it; thanks Satan!
Fun little narrative journey. The tone of the writing was enjoyable. The mechanics of options changing as you hover was an interesting addition to the narration style and player "choice".

I loved the writing, and as a dog owner I definitely felt an extra emotional gut punch. Who wouldn't face Satan to get their dog back? I also liked the options changing and the backstory slowly coming to light. Thanks for making a wonderful game!

Love to see a Twine game! Very nice story, and the text manipulation (especially the mouse-over effect) was great for drawing me in. Well done!

**"Nothing follows at your heels."**
It only took me a few lines to become emotionally invested. Those hollow dog-shaped spaces that you worked into the initial text were beautifully done, and watching the layers of of the house gradually unfold was equally rewarding. It was all so subtle and lovely, and I also particularly enjoyed the mechanic that changed the text as you moved to make a selection. Very nicely done all round.

This is really great. I tried a few times to find my way back to (SPOILERS) 'my' house, but since I wasn't literally taking notes I failed, alas. I got pretty close though, and figured a place where "it is my partner's home office" was a good enough mirror universe to have an affectionate terrier in ;) Excellent work, really!
This is excellent. Really nicely written throughout, and the moments when the options changed under the cursor were genuinely powerful. However you made me intensely sad, so zero points for you.
(I gave you lots of points)
It took me a few tries to realize what was happening here - but then I was eager to find the right solution. Good atmospheric writing!

An interesting twist on interactive fiction. I really like how you added innovations to the usual formula to make it more engagig. Well-written with some good humour too.

Pretty rare to see twine games around here, I can appreciate the effects and storytelling! Nice building around the theme too!

Nice game! Twine is a pretty cool tool :). The mouse over effect at the beginning was really powerful. I think I got a bad ending in my playthrough. On my second playthrough I tried to go as deep as possible and understand how the game works better but I am still not really fully sure. Wish I got to learn how to play blues guitar though :). Good job on the game~!
(A bit off topic - there was no audio right? You could have opted out of the category, if there is no audio)
Interesting game. I liked the writing. It would be cool if you could add some music and sound.

This is the most emotional game I've ever played in LD48, though there's even no graph and no sound. "There is nothing at the foot of the bed.""Nothing follows at your heels.""No footsteps pad along behind you."...you really know how to write and make people in tears. (Spoilers below) After got all the required stuffs I thought if I can get my dog back in a universe when my partner is still here, then it would be a true happy ending that I'll have both my dog and my partner, but it turned out that I lose both. And when I restart the game and finally got my dog back. I hug my real dog who's sleeping at the foot of my bed, hoping when she leave me, there would be a Satan come to me and give her back.
Deeper and deeper into the mirrors. Nice idea for the theme, but the story is really sad. Good but sad.
@tygrak Thanks for playing! You're right - there is no audio. This is my first time tackling Ludum Dare and I wasn't sure what opting out of a category actually meant (whether it was a Jam/Compo thing, if it would affect the ability to get a score at the end, etc.). Without anything more to go on, it seemed safest just to leave the option open and let people score it a 1 for that.
