LD46 — Keep it alive

Dimmer by Chaseplays 2020-04-24T10:46:36Z

Really inspiring!! I played for quite many times. The idea and the description are very illuminating. Make me think of more possibilities on the theme. One small suggestion would be switch jumping key to "SPACE". Great game overall. Love to know what you think of my entry

Escape of Saunangeon by YouBeStrong 2020-04-23T09:02:05Z

Such a great art style!! Actually the lack of SFX doesn't affect that much as you thought maybe  Love to know what you think of my entry~

Surge by loginaut 2020-04-23T05:12:02Z

Enshrine by MicroChasm 2020-04-23T08:44:18Z

Cool mechanic!! Both the statue and the rocks are looking awesome. I tried different ways of going through at the second level.Great entry, love to know what you think of mine~

Saving Caesar by SundanceKid 2020-04-23T08:42:21Z

Love the art style for the character and the music. Together they create a sense of humor and also make you feel nervous~ One thing not sure is that it seems Caesar is constantly losing health value.Don't know if it's a bug or designed to be so. Very good entry. Love to know what you think of my one~

Snoo's Quest to Antarctica by Gus the Shark 2020-04-23T04:25:24Z

Keep What Alive by Valeth2124 2020-04-23T03:28:28Z

I love the music and the the graphics, however I had trouble figuring out what can I do, especially with regard to the colleage. He/She didn't seem to show up.I end up infecting everyone twice~

Missing Pieces by Abu Sabiq Mahdi 2020-04-23T09:27:04Z

This is so amazing!! The music and the art style really calms you down and gives you a warm feeling. Best LD46 game played so far!! Is it possible that you make this open source or some of the asset available? Really want to know how you managed to achieve these VFX. Great Entry~ Love to know what you think of mine.

Until Sunrise by Jishin 2020-04-23T09:47:02Z

Super intriguing!! I spent quite a long time playing it. I like the art style, SFX and "fire spitting" VFX. Great entry. I wonder how you achieved the VFX where there are shadows coming from the sky when getting close to the rocks. Also, love to know what you think of my entry~ Keep it up!

Eveleen by isayneigh 2020-04-24T10:19:37Z

Really like this art style and simple design of gameplay. They fit together so well. One suggestion, maybe try to make the feedback of player's choice more instant, or try displaying some metrics that elaborates the influences.Sometimes it feels that even the character struggled to do something, it's in vain. Look forward to more content and hand-writings of this style.Great work~ p.s. Love to know what you think of my entry

Title: Help!? by Jarithius 2020-04-23T03:38:47Z

Such a carefully polished game. Love the part when Dumbledore's words show up at game over. Makes me always want to try again lol. Good job! Look forward to more of your works and love to know what you think of my entry~

Goat Rider by Notan Lemon 2020-04-23T08:58:09Z

Really amazing graphics and sweet idea for a jam game. Sometimes the goat doesn't seem to move however. Great entry anyway. Love to know what you think of my entry

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-23T05:18:12Z

@jarithius Thank you so much for your valuable feedback! It means a lot! It's my first time making a game and first game jam as well. I'll try to fix those issues~ Also thanks for your encouragement.

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-23T11:00:37Z

@robowarrior1982  Thanks for the screen shot  I'm not sure why it's frozen either, perhaps due to webGL issues. @spreadsheetlover Thanks for playing!! For the first level I set the goal to be "Save at least three objects", which is put on the left-top corner of the display. If the player simply escape with the banana, it's recommended that he/she try to save more. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try hosting in other platforms~

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-23T12:21:03Z

@bulent-altinay Thanks a lot!! In fact I spend an afternoon trying to figure out how to use cinemachine to control the camera. However it's my first time making a game, the camera eventually didn't turn out to be what I expect. I will learn more about that later on  @convg I'm so glad you liked it~ I'll definitely learn how to fix the camera issue later on. Thanks for playing

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-23T16:15:52Z

@macabreartgames Thanks for playing! Perhaps I didn’t explain the gameplay clearly I’ll pay attention to that next time. There are many ways to save more than one objects, such as use the bowl to push the banana to the safe zone first. Really appreciate your encouragement~

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-23T16:19:38Z

@whatnamegames Thanks for commenting, I guess there are a few bugs cuz I didn’t manage to fix them all. Glad to hear that you feel it’s quirky and cool~

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-23T17:22:28Z

@youbestrong Thank you so much for your feedback! I’ll learn about how to improve the camera and control soon. As for the table control, I intentionally increased its mass to prevent the situation where players simply carry away everything using the table. But sure I will try out your suggestion about making some of the objects not that realistic. In fact that’s exactly how I initially planned to design. I even wanted to give each object some unique animations and ways of moving/stretching according to its physical characteristics. Thanks again!

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-23T17:29:07Z

@gus-the-shark Thanks a lot for trying out my entry! I also noticed the shadow problem when I submitted the webGL build, it doesn’t occur in the Windows Build however. I’m actually quite new to Unity and not so sure about how to fix that problem. I’ll definitely add more movement-related features and try some more room layouts and objects after the jam. Also I really wished that I had enough time to fine-tune the controls. So glad that you think this is unique~

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-24T03:34:26Z

@loginaut Thanks a lot for the feedback and suggestions. They've been very helpful~

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-24T03:35:19Z

@notan-lemon Glad you had fun playing it.I'll work on the camera issue~

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-24T14:26:46Z

@isayneigh  Thank you so much! It's indeed encouraged to save others first before the "ALIVE" object itself hits the exit zone~

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-24T14:27:28Z

@trexxak Glad you enjoyed it

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-04-24T17:25:25Z

@pixnpickstudio Thanks for the feedback! I’ll definitely work on the camera issue~

One Alive At A Time by MorandiGame 2020-05-19T07:50:18Z

@chaseplays Thank you so much for playing and reviewing. It's really encouraging!! I've really put in a lot of thought on the design and imagined many possible gameplays. However it's my first time actually making a game in Unity. So I didn't manage to achieve some of the features such as assigning various unique movement and animations to different objects based on their characteristics. Also I initially made many room settings, but I didn't have time to test them out. So to answer your question there are indeed only two levels in the Jam version. The first level was to demonstrate the idea. And the second level is designed to be really challenging cause I managed to complete it once. I wonder it would be much easier once I finished polishing the physics and adding unique movements like bending the paper etc. I'll definitely polish it and when it's done you are most welcomed to try it out~

IT VS THAT by gauss2 2020-04-23T03:56:08Z

I like the design of the menu system as well, remind me of a game series I used to play called "I wanna", also my first time making a game and joining the ludum dare. Love to know what you think of my entry~
