Not bad at all, i managed to get to 75. Not a whole lot of content but i loved the game!

luddegodofpain 2020-04-21 06:37

This game is tooo hard!

mehrdadsh 2020-04-21 06:39

simple but fun

First time, I could not get it to work - it ran in my browser as any other WebGL game, but the game did not capture my controls. But browser restart helped (so if you run into this, try again!).

I like the concept, the hand drawn graphics are pretty adorable and it is an actual challenge. It gets a bit frustrating and I would appreciate if controlling umbrella and blowing on flames would not share a hotkey.

31!! First thought it was just ultra hard but then i managed a balance for a while. Loved the thick outline... it gives a cardboardish look. Nice work!

This game is hard as balls, but fun!

The game sounds are kinda loud though.

systematic 2020-04-21 07:59

Quite hard, but had fun while I played it.

Loved the art and the simplicity and difficulty of this game. It was very fun to play. My only suggestion would be to have a countdown timer rather then one counting up.

causalpigeon 2020-04-23 02:28

Fun game really challenging.

synoxgames 2020-04-23 02:29

The concept it is really good, I enjoyed the aesthetic and drawings of the game! They were cute and well drawn. The game was really hard but really enjoyable, it was a good challenge to see how long I could survive! Would be so cool if there was a high score for time lasted! Overall really well made game :)

morandigame 2020-04-23 03:47

Really challenging but prettry cute and fun. Love to know what you think of my entry, it's quite similar in a way:)

joemag 2020-04-23 03:54

Way too difficult and no real scoring concept. If you're off the hard raincloud for even a second it's game over. Also the constant rain sound was unpleasant.

jarithius 2020-04-23 04:30

Over all a nice Jam game. I liked that your character could go right and they wrapped around to the left, that really helped with the players ability to get to where the rain was the worst. The sound was a nice touch for both the rain and the ghost puffing up the flames. I think there are several points you could do to make this better... 1. The sound was WAY to loud, I had to turn my speakers way down just to bare with it while playing. 2. The game needed some music to add to the ambient rain sounds, so it doesnt just drone on. 3. Maybe throw in some other things the player can use, even if they are only temporary to help hold off the rain. (examples are like a cardboard box, that either get soggy over time or catches fire after a time.) 4. Maybe some boasts for the ghost, speed or 1 shot big flames for 3 sec or something might be neat. 5.Lastly maybe a player High Score being displayed in an upper corner so the player can try to beat their best time.

Overall very nice!!! I do agree, the sound was way too loud! I got spooked at the beginning LOL!! The mechanics were very nice too, although I think it was too hard... Still, great entry!

mehigh 2020-04-23 11:56

A great game, but i believe the sound should have its volume turned down a bit and also some animations would have given the game a greater look. As for gameplay it was pretty fun and challenging.

craig-cordeiro 2020-04-23 16:35

It could have been a little more forgiving but ultimately a good concept.

honey-pony 2020-04-23 17:13

I liked the idea of having the umbrella. However, the only viable strategy I could find was to spam the space bar as fast as possible, which made the umbrella not as useful.

I think what you could do is make it so that the player has a limited rate of blowing on the flames (i.e. so they can just hold the button down), and then maybe assign the umbrella to a different button. That way you couldn't just spam the space bar, and the umbrella would be easier to use.

You could also potentially make it so that you can only blow on the flames for a limited amount of time, like a mana-bar style thing. That way the player has to juggle how often they blow on the flames, with which flames they're blowing on, as well as using the umbrella.

ldjampic2.png Why a ghost needs fire? Why a ghost needs 3 fires? How is he so good at keeping them lit? Not important. I had fun with your game, it was simple yet challenging. I would have liked to see and indicator for which cloud was raining harder other then just more rain drops. Maybe some lightning could come out??? Other than that good job on the game!

simonreiser 2020-04-24 16:32

I love the cute graphics!

slimbun 2020-04-26 11:41

A very cute game. Simple but great art. Overall, the game was kinda boring, not much to do. The game is not very balanced, it is too hard. The fire is going out pretty fast.

doctortm 2020-04-28 04:09

pretty cool, but really hard XD

vernalbehemoth 2020-04-28 08:24

The graphics made me smile! A very challenging game, maybe it could have been a little easier to start with to ease the player in. Great work!

zillix 2020-04-29 05:42

Really loved the graphics! Super cute game, the mechanics are really simple but I had fun managing it all. I got up to 82 points. :) Great work!

euforia-games 2020-04-29 19:09

The art was nice. I kinda enjoyed it in a first minute, but then it really started to be boring. I managed to get to 198 points, but then I kinda turned the game of.

Nevertheless the game was very nice.

lyrdl 2020-05-02 10:17

Awesome! Once I got the hang of it enough to stop panicking every time a fire got small I could start to make some progress. Made it 183 points. The umbrella mechanic is cool, have to weigh up the decision to put the umbrella on one of the end ones or keeping it in the middle if that's the rainiest spot. Nice work!

duke 2020-05-03 11:18

The core idea is nice and the implementation of it works to an extent, even though the mechanics are rather simple and won't keep the players attention for too long, I guess. But it's something that can be built upon. The art is very rough and simple as well, but kinda cute. It's good that you have at least two game play components in there. Just going around bashing space to kindle the flames would be too little. The sound effects were good and helped to convey the mood. Some in-game explanation regarding the controls would've been nice though. I usually don't check the descriptions beforehand and just dive in like I would with any other game, but couldn't play it because I had no idea what was happening. After reading the "manual", it was clearer ;)

Nice entry nontheless, but still rather rough around the edges. It had a hard time keeping me invested for more than 30 seconds. Keep it up!
