Wow, an inventory system in a jam game! In just a couple days you were able to lay the groundwork for a lot of different game systems! Great job!

I'd suggest putting some of the items on item bar by default, because I thought I didn't have anything at the beginning. :D Great entry, you did a lot of work, well done!

It took me a while to learn how to play this game. I struggled to figure out how to actually keep the family alive, as left clicking items next to them only consumed them. It was only doing through some random things that the method was to drag items from the inventory directly onto them and clicking on them. I also struggled out how I was supposed to find items, until random shooting revealed that the crates that were instantly spawning held items to pick up.

I was confident I figured out how to play, and started again, dragged all my items from the starting inventory again to my quick select bar, and lasted a day. The journal popped up as I was outside, and I was instantly killed because the zombies attacked my person who stopped running to write an entry in his journal. There seems to be a sort of quality system to the foods, as some food dramatically decreased the thirst meter, and there is not that much water to be found. There is no feedback to getting hit, something the character would grunt but I had to keep one eye on his health icon. I'm guessing the character can be poisoned sometimes.

I do enjoy how much there is in the game, it is a large map to explore with plenty of baddies. Though only one house is really needed to go to if the boxes keep spawning like they did for me. Naming the son Ludum is funny, and rapidly pressing reload makes me think the guy is a clockwork soldier. Having some more explanation on how to play the game with some tutorial would help out a lot, and rework the journal system so it is only from inside the house.

@toppervideogames That is very illuminating comment. Thank you. Every five days journal appears, showing his thoughts about the events happening. About other subjects you mentioned, some of them just oversight, and others were because of our lack of experience in this. But we learned a lot, and had equal amount of fun.

I like the design of the journal system. The inventory system is also cool(I've just learned how to build an inventory system in Unity). Love to know what you think of my entry~

Cool game but could have done with better instructions. It would have been nice if your starting items were already in the quick bar at the start. I figured I had to go out hunting for more resources but it took a while for me to find them, I stumbled upon them by accidently shooting a crate. The journal font was a little hard to read. I liked that there were different types of zombies with different attacks but I feel like they should still move around even when you're not outside. The movement controls and shooting were good. Inventory system was excellent considering the timeframe this was made in.

like @toppervideogames I think a little help for commands in pause menu and some lines about breaking crates to find ressources. A little help linse for what ressources do can help too. Instead of this, game look fun, and can be a good start for a family survival game :) .

It took me a while to understand the game but when i did it was fun. i liked the gameplay and the idea. It feels good to squish the enemies.

Considering the timescales I think you packed a lot into this little game. Once I got use to the controls I was able to do a lot better.

The inventory positioning when you move items I think needs to be aligned a little better, needs to be center aligned rather than away from the cursor. Maybe a mouseOver would be useful to explain what each of the items does. Might be good to start with one weapon and/or everything else already in the inventory bar so players can get use to them quickly.
