Well done! I love the art and the overall game play, but I think some of you click trigger points are misplaced because it would take multiple clicks before I was able to pick something up.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → How to Air

Love the art style of this game! Really cool point and click setting! I did get a crash right after picking up the balloon and walking a little to the right though
Machinarium feeling! Love the art and the music, but got an error before finishing the game!! here it is: ___________________________________________ ############################################################################################ FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Mouse Event for Glob Left Released for object iteractable_parent:
Unable to find any instance for object index '100022' name '
Cute little adventure game! I dig the art style and sound effects. I got an error though so I could not finish the game. No matter the error, I enjoyed the game very much. [Error log - pastebin](https://pastebin.com/dhFqAFHY)
Crashed when click creature.
Damn the graphics are so awesome well done. Your game tell a story and is very fun to play except that it tricked me several time because I didn't managed to get to collide the right item or maybe I was outta the collision box, dunno but anyway your game is awesome. I highly recomend you to continue is developement. Without a doubt my favourite game of this ludum.
New fixed version is uploaded, hopefully should resolve the crashes! For the hitboxes, we know but it was hard to do it differently. Keep the feedback coming! :)
Interesting game, got to the syringe puzzle, then I tried breaking the neon sign and got a fatal error? Sorry I neglected to write down what the error was, but this game is pretty rad.
Dig the presentation and art, especially the circular level! :white_circle:
Yeah we just realized the neon bug and it has been fixed, thx! :)
Really lovely game, outstanding art and mood :) My only note really is that I tried the stick on the balloon many times before it worked. Making that type of interaction clearer, like why it's failing (out of range vs. wrong object) would be nice
Agree, hitboxes could be reimplemented with some bigger margin. Maybe we can publish it somewhere post-LD :)
I managed to complete the game, but it wasn't easy. The main issue I see is that you need to be within a certain range of things; so at first glance it seems like something is not possible (even though it actually is). This is especially a problem in the beginning, when you're trying to figure out how to pick stuff up. Though, I do like the jokes of poo resulting in methane and such. You probably also want to clearify that the player needs to put stuff into the extractor and only the canisters from that machine fit into the air machine. Having to use an installer isn't great either, but I guess it was worth it.
Update: Web version added! Also updated description with the information, thx @mika-la-grand
I survived! Felt a little bad that I hurt the creature, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Liked the graphic and that you walked around the hole planet. Also nice sound effects :D
Really cool game, i love this point n click feeling. Art is great too and, of course, the mouth sounds are amazing. Good job ! The interaction range is a bit small for some objects though.
I love the art, and the overall mood!
Cool concept, it was a lot of fun to play! Side note, the dependencies don't always need to make sense, I tried gathering blood from the creature at the start, but it only worked after he ate. Also, when i gathered the resulting item, it didn't pop up in my inventory. It is also possible to grab multiple syringes from the medkit. (I went bug hunting, but the game is really well made)
This was lovely! Great (hand drawn and scanned? looks like that) art and nice little puzzles. Sometimes it was a bit hard to interact with things, maybe too small hit boxes or something.
Took me ages to find the last item though!
@xenoxygene thx :) and thx for the bugs info, although it's too late to fix them I'm afraid.
@arzi thx:) yeap, art by https://www.instagram.com/bubug_
And yeap hitboxes to be fixed!
Love the aesthetics of this game, super cute art style! Was a little confused with what to do and took me a while to understand the objective and what item did what. This game has great potential and I can't wait to see what you do in the future with this game.
One of my favourite art styles so far! I was slightly confused with what to do initially, but that's part of the fun with point and click games! Great job and a fun game!
Really pretty game, loved the experience
I loved the atmosphere of the game, you made very cool art. Really enjoyed playing. It would be also great if it had some small tutorial right in the game, but not under it) But overall it's awesome
Very nice, did not understand right away that I was supposed to extract gas from every source possible, but that was not an issue x) Nice feeling
I love the art style and this is a pretty unique kind of game to find in a jam. Point and click + hidden object games don't show up too often. I thought it was a fun 10 minutes, but not every interaction was obvious or made sense, but I guess that's just the point and click way.
Good work!
I love the art style, I don't think I should be able to walk after extracting air (it looped the sound of walking for the rest of the cut scene), but overall the game was fun to play, great job!
Loved the graphics of the game. I felt like a chemist after extracting air XD! Slightly confusing initially but I figured it out and finished the game!! Loved it alot!
I really like the art style! It's super captivating and really makes me want to play more!
Very cool art and sound effects! Very engaging despite simple mechanics!
Very cute game! The art and animation is very good and the sounds are funny. I would suggest making it a little more obvious which items can be interacted with. Overall it was a short but fun experience.
Really cute game, lovely art style. I got a bit stuck due to not being able to pick up the medkit, so couldn't complete the last square of the air generator. A bit more puzzle depth would make it more engaging too (most of the elements were just "pick up a thing and take it to the gas extractor" or "pick up a thing, use it on something else to produce another thing, and take that to the gas extractor") but these very constrained puzzle games can work really well, and it's a great start for a jam game.
It's similiar to my game but 10 times better. Amazing artstyle, amazing sound effects(wish I could give a 5 on audio) fun to play and figure out what to do. Art style and audio combined really showed how light hearted the game is so good mood score. My only issue is the theme, doesnt follow it really and its hard to pick up the objects sometimes. Over all great game though.
I absolutely love the art! It's a bit difficult at first but I ended up having a lot of fun.
Totally love your art! Got old sci-fi books illustrations feel.
Fantastic! This isn't my favorite style, but it was very entertaining!
I'd only expect that dude to sound more extraterrestrial.
Great job! I loved the visual presentation and sound design.
Aw, I couldn't quite finish the game! Had all but one element, and maybe I had to get the dude to give me his strange rock? Couldn't figure out how. Love the circular world!
Escape the room games! Oh I love these.
I think your art and sound definitely helped set the mood. I loved how the guy on the planet was just called "dude", I laughed a while there. It was a great combination and implementation.
I understand that we're all under time pressure and there's just so much one can do with puzzle design, but I think it'd be cool if the puzzles are a tad-bit harder than the current state.
Amazing game! Once again, the art and the sound. Mmmm (chef's kiss).
Oh on a side note, CH4 is not helium LOL
One of the best games of this Jam!
It is wondeful game. I had a lot of fun during playing. I have only one minor problem. I eas very confusing about medkit, I didn't realize that it is closed. But I finished the game and like it very much.
Nice little game!
I really like the art, my favorite so far.
I got stuck with the medkit, the only item remaining. I wasn't able to pick it up.
Anyway, good job on your game. You did great!
Great game, the black and white handdrawn art style is cute. the game is a bit short and some hitboxes a bit too small (I was blocked for 5 minutes at the end just because I did not drag the object at the exact spot (i'm not telling the exact moment because I don't want to spoil). Great job on this one :)
Lovely, lovely art and animation, very well done. Liked the cute little wrap around world and the quirky SFX. I had all but three elements but picked up to many syringes and couldn't see my balloon. While playing the game I kept going to quit in frustration but then sticking it out and working out the next bit, which I see as a good sign. Great work, really created a strong sense of place and being trapped on a little world.
Super Fantastic! I really want to play more, because it's really fun to play! This is my favorite game so far, keep up the good work :D
I love it, It's just so cute hhhhhh
superb art and animation, one of the best looking games of this LD
Love the art Style well planed and well executed I would like to play more of it.
A wonderful, very stylish game, one of my favourite entries so far!
I found everything but 1 gas and can't progress :( Nothing else interacts, what am I doing wrong?
spaceman.png
Update: apparently, you do not need the spare air tank and can recycle it to Argon ^^ Completed
Really liked the art style
What an amazing game! It was a really simple yet so cool little puzzle game, the mood was really awesome, that kind of black and white graphics are something I have never seen before, everything was super clean. It was super fun to try placing different things into different places, tho I wasn't able to pick up the med kit (or then I just did something wrong) but either way it played out super nicely.
The characters like the dude and the creature were super epic and drew me even more into this game, I don't know how and why but the creature reminded me of Hollow Knight, one of my favorite single player games, even the following eyes of the creature were an amazing add-up to the game. Really cleanly done apart from some clicking difficulties and some stuff but at the end of the day it's an LD game and bruh this was fun to play :) Also the theme could've possibly been a tad bit more accurate, but I'm fully fine with this one! Loved it!
Hope you keep making games, I really look forward seeing more! Sick game guys!
Beautiful looking escape game; would like to see this extended to more levels. I'd echo the other comments about dodgy hit boxes, and you can keep bashing the medkit with the rock to get loads of syringes (I must have bled that creature dry), but those are minor nitpicks in an excellent entry.
Nice. Graphics were cool. For some reason, CH4 was displaying as helium. I completed it and was left with a rock at the end, wasn't sure if I had missed something. Very nice, laid back point and click! Good job.
Beautiful game! I coult not finish it 'cause the med kit didn't want to be picked up :P Other than that it was really nice!
That was great. Great art, humor, sound. Well done and congrats!
Love the graphics, sound and humor and gameplay- but sadly could not interact with the med kit. but really lovely game!
Medkit is an interactive part of the world, not an item players can pick up. You need to use something on the medkit :)
I got everything except for Xenon, couldn't figure out what to do for the life of me, but I really loved everything I played up to that point! The art is great, the sound design is lovely (I got a kick out of the "dude" saying "thank you so much"). Playing on a laptop, using the arrow keys with my right hand and the trackpad with my left threw me off a bit, but it's OK, since there's no time-critical things to do it wasn't much of an issue. Great entry!
It's a bit ticky at the beginning to figure out how to solve the level. Maybe some in game tutorials with a font that don't collide with the cool style of this game can help.
I love the little intro that set up the story, right from the start it gave the game so much character! Absolutely love the art, and the sound effects were comical and/or endearing (loved the little "ouch!" of the creature when you use the syringe). Very nice little game!
Game is really nice. Graphics are sound effects are spot on. Small little puzzle is what you need after playing lots of action packed games. I spend a good amount of time playing this, only complaint is the gas extractor is wobbly sometimes it will take an item sometime it will not but after a while it will. This does not make any sense maybe mechanics need a bit of tweaking or its a bug?
Thx all!
@vivek-sharma20 hmm it might be the general hitboxes problem we have in this version. We havent noticed any bugs with the extractor in particular.
@grtodaro tutorial was out of the roadmap, otherwise we wouldn't finish it in time :)
Gas extractor has an animation and sound feedback when the extracting process is done (ding sound like microwave). You need to wait, then insert next item for extraction :)
I felt like playing a educational game for children based on the little prince. The game is beautiful but the interactions could be smoother (maybe adding some highlighting?).
I laughed my ass of when I heard "Thank you so much".
@brian-teng @jamesolivermusic good catch on the methane/helium mixup :) we missed that bug and its now also fixed considering it a typo only.
Lovely art work mixed with the classic point-and-click mechanic creates a great overall experience. Well done!
The atmosphere you created is amazing. The combonation of sounds and art really just makes the game super appealing.
Gonna be honest felt reaaaally bad about sticking the poor creature with a needle but it had to be done I guess :sob:
Very pretty and the audio is on point, I enjoyed this!
This game is pretty awesome, the art and the audio are very good. I loved trying interactions with everything! Well done!
Fun little adventure and the graphics and audio are very cool.
Nice game concept and graphics!. Maybe the game could be little shorter for ludum-dare?
The atmosphere and artstyle helped style out the game's aesthetics. I liked this point and click type *extracting*
Yay, whopee! The art is great, the audio is nice. Cool that you have a cutscene!
What a wonderful game. The art style is excellent, and combined with the audio it sets a great atmosphere. The intro and outro, while short, added a ton of character to this entry.
It wasn't a big challenge to get through though. With the limited options, it was easy to walk around and try everything on everything. When I got *stuck*---which never felt like I was really stuck, as I could just continue my way and try things. So while I really enjoyed the character and feel of things, the mechanics were a little less fleshed out.
But all in all, one of the more polished entries I have seen so far---great work!
I had fun! Loved the art style and thought it was funny! Sound effects were cool too. Nothing negative to say, just wish it was longer or more challenging! Good job!
Really liked the artstyle and the humor! It sometimes felt a little weird when the names of the items were displayed, but you couldn't pick them up yet. So I would suggest making the interaction radius a bit larger. Overall, just a great game!
Cute, fun game! I had a great time playing it and figuring out how to solve it.
Graphics is good. But it feels very weird that you have tons of different gases for air. Even though you only need O2 for breathable air. Would make more sense if what you are making is fuel.
Wow, that's a nice one. I really like the theme and the arts. It is quite easy but that's a well balanced game for a jam like this. The mood is fine, and the arts matches it perfectly.
Probably I would have loved a bit of a "Scientific education" on that game (why O_2, CH_4, etc.), but that's my personal deviation '^^. Maybe a bit of music would be a wonderful add.
How do i get CO2 it's the last one I need
@llewellyn-and-michael try searching for a small leaf near the Tree.
I really liked this game. It was very fun and made me really want to complete it. The graphics are awesome too. Unfortunately, I couldn't pick up the med kit for some reason so I could not complete it, but good entry though, nice job!
I had to go around the planet a couple of times and that made me dizzy... leaving that aside everything is well made from the sounds to the graphics to the interactions. Really well done!
Good balance of difficulty for a gamejam, and nice art style too.
I beat the game and I love it! The graphics are top notch!
It took me a while to figure out how to get the item for the top right square, because I thought the rock was just another rock like all the others, so that one could be a bit more higlighted.
It also felt as if the triggers for some of the interactibles was a bit small, or misplaced sice it could take multiple tries to actually click them.
The complaints above are very nitpicky, I really had to try hard to find some criticism, because the game was really good. I love point and click adventure games so to find one of this quality in a game jam was amazing.
Good job!
I beat the game and I loved it. I don't have any feedback though because I say no problems with it. Some suggestions though are that you should put a hint system, a pause system, and a start menu.
Finished! Love the graphics, sounds, ambients, controls and overall polish.
Nice miniadventure. Probably best entry I've yet tried.
Hello, nice game, really nice graphics. I'm a programmer looking for a graphic designer or a team to join and maybe work on new games, are you interested? email:m.shahiri.m@gmail.com my LudumDare Game: Social Distancing For Ladybugs
Aw loved it! Very cute, when the dude was like "awww thank you" ♥ 😂 Kept me clicking till the end! The graphics were lovely and it was easy enough to figure out and see till the end 🙂 really well done!
the DA is awesome, the sound design as well and I love point'n click, so I loved the game. I really think that a hint system could be interesting, and it could be fun to have at least some talking interactions with the alien and creature. But, all in all, a very nice experience. Congrats !
I love the art and atmosphere, sounds. It is a really cute game!
Adventures in chemistry! Such a cute game. Also the sound effects are hilarious :D
Awesome game! Would have liked it if I didn't have to walk so close to an item to interact with it.
I liked the art, I had fun playing it . Nice job
I liked the puzzle and first time through stuck with it to the end. Nice win screen and final animation. I felt rewarded. The artwork was amazing. Every character and object had a lot of personality. The sound effects matched what I imagined the characters sounding like as well. One small suggestion is to empty the syringe completely after use. I kept thinking there was a chance for a second injection somewhere. I loved the crafting challenges. The creatures were the most fun fo interact with. I would like more if the planet gets bigger as you continue to develop this. Thanks! I had a lot of fun.
@anystarabove and All, thanks for the feedback. We indeed started already on a full version with bigger worlds and new stuff :) so stay tuned for more fun!
very cool art style. the ending jingle was a little hard on the ears but everything else in the game was just so great. i love how some of the puzzles were like feeding creature the canned food. my only gripe is that i could make infinite syringes and almost filled up my inventory with them.
Such a sweet game, I really enjoyed it and had a great (but sadly short ;D) time. Point&Click adventures are one of my favorite games, so I definitely would love to see a bigger version! =3
This is amazing! The intro is awesome! The environment is wonderful to explore and the creatures are lovely. Everything worked perfectly and kinda made sense. Would have loved more puzzles, but hey, I'm happy that I could get to the end without any problems.
You did a great job! Would love to play more like this!
Oh, this game is so cool! Crypton was the most difficult, but I did it ) Great work!
I beat it! I like the art style and the characters, it's very cute. I think some of the interactions could use a bit more feedback - I spent some time trying to pick up the medkit, maybe if there was locked sound or the guy saying "it's stuck" but I was eventually able to figure it out. Reusing the gas extractor makes sense but feels a bit too convenient (stick everything in the machine to get what you want), perhaps if there were other ways to extract gas? That's more nitpicky- overall nice job!
Awesome, I was not enough to complete the game, idk what i gonna do after monster grafting
Love the art style and simple mechanics, point-and-click style =)
Though the gameplay was very simple, the art style was really good and engaging with the little bits of sound effects worked really well and brought it together as a whole. Very well polished and worth spending the 5 to 10 minutes to play around.
I really enjoy playing it. Easy to go to the ending and cute characters.
Great entry. The art is amazing. Nice puzzle.
The only thing that annoyed me was that sometimes I clicked on objects and thought I needed something else since it didn't pick up, but I just had to get closer. Besides that minor thing, really nice game.
For me this game is No 1 so far at the graphics category... The visuals are at professional level. Apart from the art, the gameplay is engaging and fun as well, with immersive and interesting puzzles. Also, I think it has the right gameplay time for a jam game, It's neither too long nor too short so it doesn't get boring or repetitive. Amazing entry! Great job!!! Who is the artist btw? :P
Great style and sound effects~ It really feels like a complete package, even for a jam game. Very impressive. Loved the intro and the animal/dude animations. The puzzling itself was not too complex, but as a whole it felt pretty good.
Nicely done!
It's a very nice game. I really like the graphics, they are awesome. I think something that could be improved would be to be able to play just with the mouse like if you click on an object you walk to that object because it took me a little time to find that you need to be near an object to pick it.
How refreshing to see a proper point-and-click adventure game! My daughters loved it and played it to the end. The highlight for them was when the creature produced poo :) I really liked the art style which sets the mood nicely. Well done!

We have started working on a full version of a point&click version called `Kosmonauta`. It is very alpha version yet but we already have a plan to create more of everything. And also a whole new (mouse only) control system and hitbox system completely revamped.
A sneak peek only for You: kkkk.gif
Awesome! Good luck
@kwaku sick, congrats on doing this! best of luck <3
Good luck, @kwaku !!!
Good job, I like the graphics and music at athmosphere
Very cute game, a really nice idea. I can see how you'd be able to take this across various planets/environments. Great job guys!
Wow, that was neat and polished! I love point and clicks and this was a pleasing and nice adventure. As there is so much good feedback, I'll just note the minor bugs/problems: - you can interact with rock with med kit as much as you want and get a lot of syringes, I guess it's just a bug - it'd be nice if you could control the astronaut with wasd as well as arrows
Also the voice saying "thank you" was marvellous xD English-speaking alien Great job!
Very polished, beautiful graphics, good puzzles. Didn't take me long to pick up on what to do, without the need of further explanation. I enjoyed the attention to details, such as the rock on the neon sign making a broken glass sound. And the artstyle... it's beautiful, I absolutely adore it. Great job, can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Little bug : at the end, when doing the victory pose, I pressed an arrow key, resulting in the little guy moving with no animation, and triggering the walking sound during the rest of the end cinematic.
Hi guys ! I loved your game, especially this beautiful b&w drawings :) I made a video (in french) about it on YT, since I can't find your twitter I post it here : https://youtu.be/ab38_1-v2EQ
Keep up the good work, and wish you the best rank at the results :)
cute!
Yaay, I finished it :)
Wonderful game! Lovely artstyle and nice mood and overall feeling. Great ambience set by the audio and aesthetics. The game is short but very well done and feels complete.
Very inspiring entry! 5/5
I AM A GENIUS :D Felt great finishing this amazing!
Art style is great, but i guess you already knew that. Also the sound effects were cute. I enjoyed it!!
This was some very nice point and click. The black and white made it a little more challenging ( spotting the rock / duck etc.) . Art was great, and the characters ( the creature and the dude ) were cool. I see you guys are already working on a version post-jam. If you only add maybe one extra colour ( a grey or similar ) or maybe a very limited palette?
subsbs.jpg
Thx all and @johnnysix, good idea, we idd may introduce more graying palette to the final game. Similar to your first cave screenshot. If you want to see more, we also have a Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/kosmonauta_game
