I really like the artstyle, the 3d model against 2d background reminds me of getting over it
it was also pretty fun actually!

I liked it, it clearly needs a bit more balancing as you said in your itch page, but I know how hard balancing a game in 72 hours is :) Other than that, I feel the UI could be a bit more clear, It took me a while to understand which powerups were good or bad and what each bar meant
@paulhocker Can't say I did, sorry. I was mostly looking at the three bars on the right side
fun game, I feel it could've done with some more clear goals in general, since it's procedurally generated it would've been nice to get some sort of win state when you reach the bottom or mine X amount of blocks. also the visuals and music were very nice and in-sync with each other, it makes for a relaxing casual game, congrats!
Amazing work! Probably my favourite one so far, I wish I understood more french to get deeper into it ;)
Really nice game, I was amazed at the amount of content and how engaging it was. I'm a sucker for hard games in general and platformers in particular, and this definitely hit the bill in some places. Although, if I can give a bit of constructive feedback, I felt it was more unfair than just hard in some places: - The levels were sometimes too large and required "leaps of faith", where you didn't know what was beyond the edge of the screen. A map or some kind of look-around button would've helped here. - Having 0 direction influence in the air was also very punishing in some places (specially in combination with the springs). I understand it's part of the challenge, but just adding a little bit of directionality can reduce the exasperating parts by a lot - Some levels felt a bit too long without checkpoints, specially the second level of the first day, since the difficulty curve there was pretty big.
Other than that, I found the drilling + going down with the same button a bit weird when you had to enter a dirt block from below, since it felt like you had to "slow down" to enter it. This is a hard design problem though, one you're bound to deal with when trying an experimental mechanic like that. It was really well made otherwise.
Great concept! A little hard to understand at first but it's quite engaging, I specially liked the animations and music it's really catchy
Amazing job, it seemed like the radar dots were a bit wrong sometimes, but other than that I loved it.
Really creepy and unnerving! And really good use of color too!
Great game! Really fun and polished, I only wish there were more levels!
Thank you for all your comments so far!
@matterlinx The game not being too hard was a deliberate choice, it's the third game jam we've made together as a team and the previous times we found we erred too much on the side of making a really hard game, so this time we made a conscious effort to tone it down so it was beatable. It's good to know we're in a good ballpark, even if there are still improvements to be made.
@jamie-simpson The checkpoints was definitely something we wanted to implement, but unfortunately due to my own inexperience with the engine I wasn't able to make it on time :(
As for the dark lord, it was a really late addition that came on by circumstance, we didn't have time for any other additions and it was a fun way to wrap up the ending. Sorry for the dissapointment :)
cute game, it took me a bit to understand how to move but after that it was smooth saling ;)
Unfortunately it crashes for me on start :( It says RGSS-RTP Standard not found
Very nice game! At the beginning I thought it wouldn't get hard, but it had me sweating by the 7th cycle
red skeleton gang
One of the best games I've played so far, my only comment is that the "second" level is by far the most difficult one, at least in my opinion. I could beat all the others, but that one eluded me
Probably the best game I've played here so far, super original and fun, and it's even pretty well polished!
extremely good game feel, the shots felt really satisfying and the music fit in very well.
Other than that, I couldn't figure out how to upgrade the towers, and without it the game felt quite linear (since I could only place up to 5 towers and increase the level. Also, the "play" button doesn't work when you press R, so you have to quit and restart.
I know those issues can sneak by undetected when you upload the final version, but the game underneath feels very polished even with those issues. Congratulations!
I really liked the aesthetics, did you make the music yourselves?
pretty good for a first solo game! keep it up :)
nice game! I dig the minimalist style, but I wish the mouse and dot didn't cover the center of the atom. Also it'd be great to have a more clear color coding on what charge I currently have (since I have both colors on the edge, it's hard to know sometimes)
It's very pretty and moody, it might make for a great game at some point, but as a game jam entry it's a bit barren.
Usually for game jams it's better to focus on an idea and try to find some fun/interesting things to do with it, like a prototype. Developing too much art first without something underneath is not usually the best way to develop games.
Nevertheless, I wish you good luck with it!
fun game, I definitely didn't expect that. the game is extremely on theme
neat game! I really like the graphic style and music, it reminds me of old flash games in general.
I feel like the controls could be a bit better, but I saw that several people told you that already. For me the most crucial thing other than a bit of remapping would be enabling the player to change the balance and lane *while* jumping, it'd make it feel much more dynamic. I think it'd also enable you to get more creative with the levels, for example having a small gap where the rails switch instantly, or having a section where it changes from the left-most to the right-most side
@federico-giorgi it's intended to grow along with the magic, there might be some slight artifacts when it's at 0 though
@guilloteam this was actually on purpose, we added a "howling wind" kind of background music to give it a more barren feel and more contrast with the actual game
@shigor the game starts after finishing the tutorial
@shigor thanks for the report, to be honest we initially tested it in firefox. we tried chrome after a couple of reports, haven't been able to reproduce other errors found. I will check this error later anyways, sorry for the troubles
oh damn @douwe-ravers @purrseus , we definitely did not even think about AZERTY or QWERTZ distributions (specially ashamed about the QWERTZ one since I live in germany )
will definitely find a way to fix these things in the future, thank you!

Thanks to everybody for reviewing our game!
We're very happy with the end result of this game jam, whatever the results are, and also hope you all had fun playing our game! We're currently in the process of making a new, post-jam version of Ethereal Runner that will include general fixes, polish and some new features, including an online leaderboard!
We hope to make this nothing more (or less) than a fun web game you sometimes remember exists and play for a couple of minutes, but we have other projects for the future as well. If you'd be interested in this, or any future work, feel free to follow our team account on twitter: https://twitter.com/glassbrickgames
Anyway, that is all from us here. Thanks again to everybody, and good luck with your own submissions!
great game! it's extremely polished for a gamejam. the only feedback I can give is that I want **more** (monsters/guns/envionments)
it's quite engaging honestly, though the physics felt a bit off for me (too "floaty"). the chickens were a bit hard to understand the first couple of runs, and using [space] to dash was a bit weird too (I would've thought [space] would be used to jump).
It'd be nice also to have some music with it, but gameplay-wise it was pretty engrossing. I managed to score around 12000 points
I really liked the music!
The gameplay itself was quite engrossing too, I like the instant switches between stages, since it keeps you on your toes, though sometimes I would just step right into a hole after the stage switched. My only criticism is that it was a bit hard to understand how to aim, and the bullets were way too small. Other than that, great job!
Pretty well rounded tower defense game! It reminds me a lot of the ones found in warcraft 3, it's a nice touch that the enemies have to actually pick up the flowers and bring them back, and you really did the instability theme in a nice way. Graphically it's a bit ugly for me, but clearly the focus was on gameplay and it shows. Great job!
Nice game! The art looks particularly beautiful, it's right up my alley, and most of the visual effects were pretty cool too! I'd say most improvements would be general polish in how the movements and attacks work, particularly the melee attack feels a little bit broken, I barely ended up using it. Higher jumps and flipping the sprite when going left would make it feel better too, I think. All in all, great game!
God, I can't deal with this pressure... which I think makes it a pretty on-theme game!
Honestly though, great job on the ambience, it's really immersive in every sense!
JESUS I haven't laughed this hard since... idk. Honestly this could *easily* be made into a Regular Show episode. The timings, the music, the vfx, it all flows together soooo good into this kind of "blink and you'll miss it" style of comedy that I just find so hilarious. 10/10 bud!
Love the concept, best fit for the theme I've seen so far. I don't know if it's beatable, but I played it 3 times and managed to repair about 1/3 of the ship before dying. Only thing I'd give as feedback is to improve the platforming a bit. Just giving the player a "regulable" jump (like, letting go of the space bar early makes it so you don't jump as high) would make a huge difference I think.
pretty cool overall. It felt surprisingly long, which is a nice change of pace from the other games in the jam, but it also felt a bit samey in general. One or two more enemy types would've made it much more enjoyable all the way through, but as it is right now I started enjoying it less by the 4th cultist
Great game, simple fun and fits the theme. The music is very fitting too, the only weird thing I found was the bomb sprite, for the first few playthroughs I thought it was an "instant death" sort of item, so I avoided it. That's kind of "general game language" talking, but maybe some less deadly-looking sprite would be better. I enjoyed it a lot, my high score was 790
I wonder if this is bait to find the argentines in ludum dare
Either way, nice game, would definitively drink la manaos de uva again
Thanks for your comments!
@squaxcom that's great to hear! I will contact our sales associates in Luxembourg and we should have your non-refundable bond check in about 6-8 business decades!
@neitri in all seriousness, we ran into a lot of problems balancing the stats. It's the first management sim we've ever made so there's a lot of rough edges (before, there were even actions you could take before to manage hype, suspicions and risk more directly, but we decided to take it out and focus more on the "twitter" side of the game)
That said, it's supposed to feel quite a bit random (just like real life )
I love a good laugh, but it seems we've attracted some... let's say "unwanted attention" in this thread.
Just to be _extra clear_: we do not endorse any **actually real** crypto product. This game is satire, and we would advise against following suspicious links in these comments.
Thanks to everyone for playing! For the first time we managed to get a really high humor score in ludum dare!
Unfortunately as you probably already heard, [CryptoHunk has gone bankrupt](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/50/cryptohunk-market-platform/$293498), so cash-outs will no longer be possible.
However we will keep the market platform up as a relic of the bright future that could've been. Please [follow us on twitter](https://twitter.com/glassbrickgames) for further updates!

A bit janky but I like it. I think it'd be better if once the IRS starts shutting down your operations they accelerated a lot to finish the game quicker. I spent about half my time with only 3 cities that couldn't get enough money to upgrade, so it was basically just watching the numbers go
Definitely an interesting take. I won't lie, I cheated a little because I couldn't remember which law was which, but I tried to keep it to a minimum and still got a lot of answers wrong, particularly the lore ones (I guess lecturers love to include questions unrelated to the subject, which is pretty on-point lmao) Neat game!
Very nice to see you participating again, your entry last year was amazing and this is somehow even better! I loved the voice acting and humor, and the puzzles escalated in a very nice way, the penultimate puzzle was the hardest for me by far, as it required me to memorize a lot of stuff, and the last one was my favorite for uniqueness.
All-in-all, an amazing game! Already looking forward to your next entry
Very nice! I got really stuck until I stumbled upon a clue by accident, very good use of the theme and pretty fulfilling after finishing it!
loved it, the subsequent playthroughs added a lot
it's pretty fun! I'm a big fan of precision platformers in general, and with a bit more polish this could be pretty neat. The only thing I found a bit tedious was that the timer started/stopped when I walked even if I was running against a wall, it made me worry constantly about not making unnecessary movements, which took me out of the "speedrun" mindset a bit.
The levels were pretty well designed though which made me wish there was more of it :D great job!
neat game, I wish there were checkpoints though, I lost in the 3rd day and I had to play all over again
@grau thank you so much for noticing, it was really painful to make
if you're interested, it's got 5 raycasts and a couple of square detection areas, but it could've probably been better if we had more time. the intersections also have a traffic light logic with a bunch of preset paths for the cars to _mostly_ not crash, and there's also way too much hasty fixes around the game, so I'm not 100% sure I could explain it entirely
@c4ris yes, I understand completely, we actually thought about reducing the round length right before uploading, but got scared because we had too little time to test it and decided to leave it as-is. thanks for the feedback!
Well, there's still 15 minutes to submission and it seems it's a common complaint, so we've reduced the round time limit to 2:00 minutes!
@coderaurus what do you mean by an alternative? the menu should support both keyboard controls and mouse controls, did it not work for you?
thanks for the response! that's definitely a bug, I'll check it out for the post jam :hugging:
thank you @100th-coin ! I love your entries, the praises mean a lot coming from you
I know we were way in over our heads making all the AI for the cars, I'd love to keep improving it so these issues come up less frequently, I definitely agree that whenever there is an accident it should be because the player caused it
thanks for all the feedback!
I like the idea, but it seems to have some issues that break it hard. I tried cleaning the vomit repeatedly and it wouldn't get clean, but my money went into the deep negatives and I got stuck :/ The music is a bit loud and the web embed looks a bit weird unfortunately, but nevertheless I really like the old west vibes!
Great idea! unfortunately it seems very hard to make something that sounds good, the notes get overlayed way too much for it to sound coherent, but I enjoyed the playing back part nonetheless
