Great theme interpretation, love the background art. Game design, general art style and technical parts of game could be executed better, nevertheless it's a great game, thank you for submission

First off love the music, gives a sense of urgency and sets the mood, gameplay is decent, except the upgrade menu when you click to see what you are upgrading you already bought it, should be mouse over also it gets too hard way to quickly and buying second jump is critical to actually getting anywhere, but the gameplay was pretty fun I tried half a dozen times to beat it. The art isnt good, I like all the heat effects though. Fits the theme decent although I wonder can you prevent the inevitable by fixing the ship. Good job guys.
The gameplay is pretty simple but a bit wanky. The jump doesnt feel right and some platforms are just a bit too far too reach at all. That said the graphics themselves are quite nice and the music definitely works!
Man, the game it's awesome, and it's so frustrating haha ! I have been able to gather 2 ice shards in 4 tries haha but still trying. Congratulations! Music super cool as well. Only feedback would be to not throw rocks where you buy the upgrades, cause they hit you when you finish, and the upgrade screen doesn't disappear until some seconds if you missclick and press scape or whatever instead of 'E', so you're super vulnerable.
@dogesquad I recommend you to take a closer look to the upgrades available, it might help you through your gameplay ;)
Thanks for your feedbacks guys !
Love the concept, works really well with the theme! I enjoyed jumping around the planet, the circular gravity was quite amusing and fun. I did find the meteors a bit unforgiving but maybe that's on my gaming :p Also only saw one ice shard which was out of reach but i don't know what it would have done in relation to the prgoression? Great submission tho :)
Interesting concept and good music! I think the progress of the game / ui was a bit inconclusive. Nice to see circular gravity!
This is a fun concept, I like how the background art changes over time to add to the dying planet vibe. I agree with some of the other comments here, the platform placement sometimes feels a bit off, sometimes multiple platforms spawn on top of each other and it would be nice to make the upgrades shop a bit more of a protected space.
Nice work overall, thanks for your submission!
Love the concept, best fit for the theme I've seen so far. I don't know if it's beatable, but I played it 3 times and managed to repair about 1/3 of the ship before dying. Only thing I'd give as feedback is to improve the platforming a bit. Just giving the player a "regulable" jump (like, letting go of the space bar early makes it so you don't jump as high) would make a huge difference I think.
Great use of the theme. Once I figured out how to upgrade my jump skill, the rest of it came together. I like how things got progressively more dire visually then leading to the planet's explosion. Very well done 👍
Very good Jam entry! I really liked the idea that makes this game somehow addictive. The music is well done and fits really well with the sense of emergency. Nice graphics overall too. Only the jump could be improved and the RNG felt unfair often (ice shards are sometimes plenty and sometimes none at all).
It's a fun little game and the theme was used well. The gameplay was simple enough for me to understand quickly what to do without reading the instructions, which is nice :), while still being interesting and fun.
As others have mentioned, the jumping feels slightly wonky, which for a platformer isn't great. However, that should be easily remedied by tweaking some values and adding some coyote-time. Also, the programming was obviously the focal point during development, so the art is quite basic. This is especially noticeable in the UI, as it took a while for me to understand what the point of the ship was.
Overall, I really like the game. Good job.
Thank you all for the feedbacks! We really appreciate. It has been use for the post-jam version, where the jump mecanics and the UI have been sligthly improved!
This game took a few tries for me to acclimate to, but once I got into it the basic gameplay loop felt really good. With good upgrades, you can be basically stable, but there's still a sense of risk because of the possibility of player mistakes (getting hit) or rng screw (ice shards). The ice shard despawns are really unforgiving. Usually when I see a shard I can't even get to it before it despawns. Since the difficulty escalates as the planet gets hotter, missing shards due to rng can easily spiral into a loss. I'm glad I was able to pull together the win on this one though.
I liked the game. The way you moved the camera was very interesting - I felt a bit motionsick when playing, haha. But that's no issue. You created a good mood and controls felt smooth. Also a good take on the topic. Good job!
I really love this one. I think that the idea is great and it was very well executed. Losing your loot when you get hit adds a nice element of risk and reward. I think overall though the game is too difficult, especially for a game jam. I was unable to even get the ship half way repaired and I think I played for quite a while. Other than the difficulty though, this is one of the most fun jam games I've played. Excellent job overall!
I saw that you mentioned a post jam version in another comment and I'm really glad that you're planning on doing that because I think this has a lot of potential. If I were to make a few small improvements for the post jam version, I would add a health bar for the planet to make it more clear how close to death you are (Although the changing background indicated this fairly well). Also fix the player stuttering in the camera. I would also add a button to confirm a purchase as navigating the shop menu using the mouse is reliant on the player already knowing what the upgrade does.
@piscythe Wp on your win, it ain't easy!
@Tankou i agree, i tried to implement a camera that allows to always an optimal vision on the scene, but the downside is a kinda motionsick effect, i'll look into that
@starboihooch Wow thank you! We are really happy that you enjoyed the game! Thanks for the feedback, the shop has already been improved.
Thank you all for the feedbacks!
Really nice game. I especially liked the music
Pretty smooth stuff overall! As far as the overall platforming experience goes I think it could've been a bit better if there was a way to drop through platforms or limit my jump height by pressing the button less - in the end when I upgraded myself fully I had difficulty lowering down to the ship while also dodging meteors!
Pretty cool! (or should I say hot?) It was frustrating at first because I got overwhelmed by the meteors much too fast and sometimes I found fery few materials, but once I figured out how to use the upgrades to my advantage (the second jump is a blessing), I felt pretty good navigating the world and dodging hazards and I actually reached the end. For a long time I didn't find any crystals (or if I did, they just disappeared right before my eyes), but the upgrades probably also helped with that? One thing that irrtated me: in the upgrade screen, I had to click on a button to see the cost of an upgrade & I bought it at the same time. It would be better if the cost was displayed on mouseover so I know in advance how much I'll spend on an upgrade. I like the idea of a rotating planet as a level, it has a hypnotic feeling, especially in combination with the fiery particles. Graphics are ok, could use a little more variety. Music is pretty good and creates an ominous mood. Good one, although maybe a bit unbalanced.
Nice game! At the beginning, I thought I was at the centre of the earth lol. But I like the gameplay. Good job!
