Nice
I really loved the art style and the animations. The concept was very cute looking after the baby!
Love the artstyle! That's one fickle baby tho. Violent too!
I survived! Wow this game was intense! I had great fun playing. Great animation and nice use of the chairs!
Great job!
Graphics were great. Very challenging and entertaining. Nice work. Items were a little small to see and the viewport too. Music was fantastic and set the mood. The sudden death animation was really crazy. Nice ending.
Wow this got really intense near the end, especially when the baby kept changing locations. Great job! My only issue is that the items were a little difficult to see, but this was really impressive for a game made in such a short amount of time.
Game created a vey unnerving feeling and loved how the difficulty increased each day. Made it to the final day, but there were too many items and I just couldn't find that demonic baby. Still a lot of fun to play
Sometimes it is really hard to tell what the items are.

Now why would I *not* enjoy a Ludum Dare game with some well-animated violence and gore? 😏
I swear, that baby is a real demon. No? Don't think it's a demon? Think again, as a LITERAL DEMON teleports away from me with 3% happiness left when I'm LITERALLY a SECOND away from saving the game. Moments that drive me insane like this is why I absolutely love this crazy game.
Really great game! i had so much fun playing it. The pixel art is a personally appealing for me and the game concept itself is a unique representation of the theme! The only minor improvements is UI scale to the game screen (i played version v2 of the game) the current text size is too big and a bit distracting for me
graphics are REAL GOOD! gameplay is fun too good work
I really liked the aesthetics, did you make the music yourselves?
@jabsatz Thank you for the compliments. And to answer your question, we don't make the music, we take it from the websites that are in the game credits :)
Very entertaining game with some challenging aspects to it, sometimes I struggled with being in the correct position with the chair to pick up the items but besides that the game was amazing. Really good concept and art and well executed.
Fun little game with great graphics and animations ... I not kown why but it took me a few seconds to figure out that you can go throw the doors ... maybe because they are not placed against the wall or something ...
Great pixel art & entry! Very polished and the concept is so funny – I really enjoyed it! :v:
The game keeps you playing, quite neat and well done. The base concept of the game is unorthodox never would of thought "demon child daycare" and taking that literally, very funny. Great game and good luck!
Very cute game and fun concept. Like others, I sometimes had trouble figuring out what the objects were, and the chair interface was difficult (although that might have been deliberate). Very good graphics, smooth programming and feel, good music - very nice effort.
I found it fun, but a bit confusing (in that I didn't know what item was where and they were a bit indiscernible). The art and animation is really nice, but the slight lack of polish and messiness made an unpleasant contrast. Unfortunately, when you give your game such high standards from the art, you have to apply that everywhere else too! Other than that, it was a really fun game that I really enjoyed - well done!
First of all: a nice approach on the topic and neat graphics!
Once I figured out - after some fails - which item was required it was a nice treasure hunt game ^^. The music and sound was good as well as the concept which was unconventional.
And yes, I enjoyed the violence and gore ;)
Good job!
Keep it up!
The art and animations are great! Especially the death animation, only thing I'd say is I think the items you're picking up should be a little bigger, I felt like I had to squint to see what anything is
Fun little game took a bit to figure out what some items were exactly for the maraca is the one that definitely threw me off the most but once I figured that out the game was pretty enjoyable running back and forth like a mad man trying to make the baby happy. One little thing is that it took me a second to figure out why I died going out the front door some maybe some barricades or something to indicate more profusely that that door is bad would be good. But overall great job!
@scidev Thank you, your comment means a lot for me and the team, we are taking all feedbacks and making adjustments as possible to the game. Thanks to everyone who played the game and left some sort of feedback, that helps a lot.
Dang, I didn't know taking care of a demon baby was so stressful! Days 1-3 went pretty smooth, but day 4 was really tough with the baby moving everywhere! It took me a couple retries, but I decided to instead gather all the items into the central room and then just pick up the item I needed and search for the baby.
I think the chair mechanic is a bit tricky to play with, I always struggled to get up and down the chairs for some reason. But aside from that, this is a good challenging game! Everything is fleshed out nicely. Good art, good music, good story. Well done, team! You should be proud!
Love the art. This game is great!
The game got a little to intense for me. I overall loved it.:)
Very funny and enjoyable! I think the controls could be refined a bit, mainly Q to get on the chair felt like it should just be E aswell.
Love the idea xD, very fun family !
I liked this game. The baby's crying sound got very annoying, but I think that fits the story pretty well. It was a bit odd how bouncy the babysitter's walk animation was. It felt out of place to me. Otherwise very well done. I had a lot of fun playing this!
A nice idea for a game! The graphics were very well done, and the audio fit the game quite well. I agree with one of the other comments about how the controls could be refined a bit. Having separate buttons for picking up and dropping items it a little pointless to me, why not have both on ‘E’? One thing I really liked about the game though was the death animation, stays very true to the warning at the start of the game.
I dig the animated Game Over Screen a lot :D
Other than that - very well executed gameplan and lovely details all around! Well done!
@player-2 Thanks for the comments. Just to talk about your question, our initial idea was to have the same button to pick up and drop items (in this case the "E"), but we had some bugs related to this, oddly enough, and not to hinder our development even more , we used a quick fix that was to link the action of dropping items to another button, which in this case was the R (precisely because it was on the E side). The same situation occurred with the letter Q. Initially the idea was to use the same key to get up and down the chair, but again we had problems with that.
So within what we planned, we consider this solution the minimally viable solution for the game to continue working. So much so that we feel the need to leave the controls exposed at the bottom of the UI at all times, in a discreet way.
Although we agree with most of the points raised here, including your and other players' observation about the controls. Rest assured that we are considering everything in order to improve the game experience as much as possible.
Thanks again for the comments.
Lovely ending! So glad Becky actually helped that family!
That was really cute, and also scary, which is a great combo. At first the large size of the house and the number of rooms was very frustrating to me, but after the first day, it became fun because now I was acquainted with the house! The "moving around chairs to get things on shelves" was kind of clunky - but very satisfying and fun. If the controls for that were a little more streamlined, it would have been a truly compelling mechanic imo that really adds a new wrench into the fetch-objects structure. Great job coming up with something so cool like that!
I liked the music, it was.... scary which was nice contrast with the cute art. The laughs toward the end were a nice touch. Great work!
Good game idea. The art and music really did a great job of establishing a mood! Unfortunately, I got to the final day and simply could not put my the chair in a position to pick something off the wardrobe in one of the bottom right rooms. However, up until that point I was really enjoying it! It feels like it has a good level of challenge and is balanced. I wish I could have seen the end!
I wonder if this game is based on developers personal experience, because I, as a dad, can confirm that sometimes it does look like this, even if Your baby is not a demon :) For the same reasons it was very scary. Good job!
It plays pretty cool! The hectic atmosphere is spot-on, and I really enjoyed the gameplay. The music really helped build the mood and the tension. And your interpretation of this theme is cool as well.
One small quality of life improvement I'd propose is making the key for picking up and dropping the same one.
I had some strange trouble on the last day, when the baby moves between the rooms. There were long stretches of time when the baby was nowhere to be found. I assume he was supposed to spawn in some specific room, but that spawnpoint is bugged.
PS. Great cover art!
@human-writes-code thanks for the comment! And I'm sorry you didn't get to see the end. Really some people can end up having some kind of problems with the chair, although it's possible to get the way it works.
In a possible future update we will rethink the chair mechanics a little to improve the game experience.
But anyway very soon we will put a video with the full game here. So feel free to follow us here at Ludum Dare (let me know I'll follow you back) to be notified as soon as the video comes out, and that way you can watch it to get to see the end of the game (but also stay awhile will if you want to play again) :)
@aplegatt Hahaha it was lovely your comment! But to answer it, we still don't have kids haha. Although we all one day intend to have our "little devils" hahaha.
@fabula-rasa thanks for the comment. Responding specifically to your report about a possible bug with the baby's location, we tried to replicate this situation and when debugging we didn't find a real bug, but a situation that we had designed.
What might have happened is that the baby might have changed position while you were trying to locate him so that he might, for example, have appeared in some room moments after you checked to see if he was there.
This may give the impression that he was nowhere, but we can guarantee you that this "rogue" was in some room haha.
Another possibility could be that you didn't realize where baby was when he shows up in larger rooms. Since we strategically positioned it (especially in the larger rooms), so that it would be in the empty spaces of the room, where items will never spawn there. So that's why in the rush to locate items and even the baby, you may not have noticed him in some situations.
Anyway thanks for the report. Other players may end up having the same feeling, but oddly enough this was something planned. And yet we will continue investigating to find bugs in the game. :)
Lovely take on the theme, and the story is pretty nice! The running animation was very charming well made, and chair mechanic was a nice addition, although it was difficult to get it right at some point, especially in the bedroom.
The game has a huge potential, however starts with lots of text mistakes. Then it gets into pixel-hunting without any popping text to get used to the items around. The art is very cool, but the game itself is not playable smoothly yet. But i liked it!))
This game was interesting, although I can say one thing: PLEASE FIX YOUR SPRITE IMPORT SETTINGS IN UNITY. You need to disable scalling or filter or I don't remember to get rid of anti aliasing which causes sprites to be blurry. Please fix that as the game looks nice, but is being destroyed by that one error. The movement feels snappy and overall feels amazing. Good job (but please fix the sprites)
The very first thing I tried to do was walk out the front door, and I immediately got my head sliced off, I think I missed the fine print in that contract I signed when I started sitting tonight xD.
I love the main characters animations as she runs around, its super cute and graphics as a whole are nice. I love the death screen and overall it seems pretty polished, and I love the devil baby :3
Well done team!
Fun game, especially on the last day when things get really hectic. The chairs drove me crazy, but I guess it was meant to be that way. :D
@dock-frankenstein thanks for the advice. That was a point that went unnoticed when we made the game. We made this fix in the V4 version of the game. Feel free to play it. We hope this can improve your gaming experience.
And for all those who still don't know, for the purpose of learning, I will try to explain briefly what I did. When importing the sprites (in case your game is made in pixel art), you must observe the Inspector of the sprites that you will use in your game, and find the filter mode option. Ideally, you change this option from "Bilinear" to "Point (no filter)". As it is in this image:

Rly great game! I really like the twist on the last day! Also I <3 art here, it so simple yet so effective! I wish there was more levels!
I think controls require some work. It doesn't seem to be very convinent to have two separated buttons to get on a chair and get off of a chair.
Dope game with wholesome twist at the end. Controls feel alright, the placement of the chair at the beginning was a little bit tricky for me, but otherwise solid entry this LD ;D
The art was fantastic and very stylish! I especially love the animation that happened when Becky gives the child the wrong item. The child is very charming, and Becky's run cycle is great. Difficulty was nicely challenging, and scaled up at a nice pace as I learned the game. Overall, very well done!
That's absolutely insane. The ideia you had is very inventive and unique. Giving more time, I'd love to see the game with more levels and a house with more furniture. This baby demon is for sure unstable as hell. I'm excited to see what you'll bring next LD.
Muito bom encontrar brs por aqui! \o/ Adorei o trabalho de vocês e já segui nas redes sociais, vocês mandam demais!
Some nice graphics and animations! Very brutal ending if you try to escape :D Some descriptions for items were a bit awkward but I figured them all out. The last level was a bit annoying but I managed with about 50% time left. All in all pretty good game :)
I died many, many times. Wish there was more stuff thrown around the house so it feels less empty, but great effort! Good job!
really enjoyed graphics and animations ! :)
Very cool idea for a game! I really like the art. Walk animation could be little bit faster I think. But overall I had a lot of fun! Great work!
Я смог расколдовать заклятие!
Nice game. I liked graphics the most
