I like the graphical touch - despite the lack of animations there was a nice completeness to it.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD20 → Wizards of the Brew

Kind of gives off that Magicka vibe. Nice riff!
@TellusE:
Thanks! I have to say, I think art is my weakest skill, closely followed by audio. It's cool to hear that someone enjoyed it :)
@Dark Acre Jack:
Magicka definitely popped into my mind a few times, even though I haven't played it. I tried staying away from their paradigm; but, in the end, the beer must flow! And it was an intuitive fit.
Thanks for playing, guys! That's the ultimate reward. Apologies for the bugs :)
Very neat. I especially like the graphic style.
A dialog skip key would be great.
Pretty fun, but there seemed to be a bug with the dragon: I just pelted him from a distance and he did nothing...
Pretty nice entry, But you Really need a dialog skip button!
I also found a bug I think, while fighting the dragon, I can shoot him, but eventually I just die and the dragon is still miles away, and my heart is full. I also didn't really get the use of the brews, gold restores health, but the rest didn't really do anything?
@Daniel:
Yeah, there's a maximum distance for him to detect you at :) I didn't really have time to play test, so I didn't adjust it beyond what I set it at by default.
@Adramalech
There are definitely a few bugs! The dragon can kill you for no apparent reason sometimes, and if you die, there's a chance it'll muck up the music, your health, and a few other things. So, just try not to die :)
The brews are as follows:
Golden Ale - restores your health
Slime Molt - makes you move faster for a short duration
Bubble Brew - makes you invisible for a short duration
Dragon Stout - launches a very damaging fireball
If I'd had more time, I would've progressively introduced them :) Alas, 48 hours isn't that much, especially when you work on Saturdays!
A skip button is the #1 most requested feature :) Next time, hopefully, I won't be building the engine at the same time and can accommodate with nice elements like skipping dialogue!
Thanks, everyone, for playing!
Great narration, nice idea, decent audio...
...But absolutely horrendous controls; the player moves really fast but rotates really slowly, thus leading into some really awkward maneuvers.
