LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Arcade Mashup by CryoGenesis 2014-12-08T00:53:00

I found a big issue. The launch script doesn't add LWJGL libs to java.library.path, AND it doesn't add library jars to the classpath, so the game fails to load for me :(
I had the same problem, always working in a development environment that handled all of that for me.

Screen War by sfdnetwork 2014-12-08T22:09:00

This was a bit difficult for me, but a fun game overall!

The Fast and the Flatulent by Drtizzle 2014-12-08T02:53:00

This is hilarious! :D

Little Town by Wevel 2014-12-08T21:58:00

This is an interesting game concept. I enjoyed playing; but I got confused fairly often and I had a problem with it crashing in linux

The Best of Both Worlds by AGausmann 2014-12-08T02:32:00

Just found a bug that stops the game when you complete the first level. I've fixed that, and it should be working as expected now.

The Best of Both Worlds by AGausmann 2014-12-08T04:01:00

I agree, if there's one thing I would change, it's the sound effects. I probably could have spent a bit more time messing around with them.

Sorry, I'll update the description. The instructions are viewable if you click the "Web" link at the top of the page.

Thanks guys for the amazing feedback! I'm glad several of you enjoyed playing :)

Beat+Trak by Lynx 2014-12-08T02:44:00

This is a very interesting concept! Love it!

Lumit by Leaghorn 2014-12-11T00:16:00

This is a really interesting game concept! I loved the gameplay a lot (although I only pressed the spacebar flappy-bird style 90% of the time) and the graphics and music were excellent!

Teeny Tiny Little Ball by FerraWare 2014-12-08T02:19:00

I love it! It's a very interesting game, I wish there was more of a story though

Door 37 by Phaax 2014-12-08T04:18:00

Very great! It took me a while to figure out there was a meaning behind the colors on the doors :) But really, this is a very well put-together game.

You Are Lost by farwyler 2014-12-25T04:23:00

Your graphics & audio are amazing, but I noticed you didn't try to fit the theme. Maybe opt-out of that category next time?

Game System by Catwheel 2014-12-08T22:26:00

A very good game! I wish I could have figured out how to win, but my tiny brain can't. :)

SIRTET by stray 2014-12-08T03:59:00

I like this game because it's an interesting twist on Tetris. My one suggestion would be to make the game more dynamic (powerups etc) - something to keep it interesting to the player :)

Rainbow Maze by FrozenCow 2014-12-10T03:33:00

This was a very fun game to play! I loved all of the different visual appeals this game has, such as the "exploration effect" on the map in the background. Overall, this is an amazing game!

DOS Defender by skeeto 2014-12-08T23:06:00

This is a very great game! I had a lot of fun playing this and I loved the retro graphics and audio (which I attempted to reproduce in my game with less success). The hardest part about the game was that if you're aiming at an enemy, that also means you're moving toward them... That led to some interesting strategies though!

Gerry Wins! by BubuIIC 2016-04-20T04:55:00

I love to see games like this that show political and cultural flaws. This one excellently illustrates the problems of gerrymandering - nice pun by the way - and I enjoy playing simulations like these. This was a very innovative interpretation of the theme as well.

ShifterMaze by drentsoft 2016-04-20T05:18:00

(Running on Linux) I downloaded/extracted/ran the game and it complains that "there is no data folder".

ShifterMaze by drentsoft 2016-04-20T14:38:00

UPDATE: I used the data folder from the Windows distribution, then it complained that it couldn't find mono. So I used the mono distributed with the game "Gerry Always Wins" with no errors, but no window.

A Game by steveklabnik 2016-04-20T05:09:00

Awesome idea! I too wrote a text-based game for my entry this year. It's good to see that this genre hasn't completely died away.
