I had fun but I missed the tutorial at first which made my first game interesting.

I had fun but I missed the tutorial at first which made my first game interesting.
Its a great idea and a nice game, needs more polishing and the music feels a little annoying yet is a great submission. Well done.
Chrome gave me a 404, your server might be down
Potentially fun game, but for some reason it's not. Not sure why, but I can say that the music didn't help! Annoying as hell it is... Maybe with a bit more content and a better balance of gameplay elements this would be a great game?
@stromchin I am not aware of any downtime happening, maybe the DNS went down though. If it still appears as down for you I will mirror to dropbox, as I have everything hosted from my website
Also sorry all for the music. Made it at 3am or so because I wanted some music =P
Also I just noticed a problem with the web version's tutorial... Making a note.
game idea is cool but the background music kinda hurts the ears. Nice effort!
As you've already noted, the web tutorial doesn't work, but I think I got the gist of it. Music sounded at first like it was corrupted, but then I realized that's what it's supposed to sound like. Also, a larger window would have helped, I think. Good job overall!
one of my favorite games this LD - very well done !
awesome use of the theme + great concept
I quite liked this game - the tutorial didn't show for me so I found everything a bit overwhelming at the start. A nice idea thought - like Galcon, but with tower defense as well! I like it! I also really, really like the clouds puffing around each planet. Not too keen on the other graphics, but the clouds are divine! Good job!
Overall well executed concept. Nice work. I did have some issues getting the right click to attack to register in the browser version, but it triggered often enough!
Took me a bit to realize what was going on (didn't read your notes about the How screen being broken until after I was done :P) but once I did it was really fun! I had to keep the earbuds out while I played though because the music was hurting my ears, but besides that awesome game!
My best strategy so far was to be really aggressive early on, payed off usually ;D
This game was awesome. It was fairly easy, though, I think there could have been levels where I was at a significant disadvantage, but there weren't any like that. The balance of purchase options was not totally off, but I think the resource collectors should maybe cost 150 or 200? Either that or make them less effective.
The interface got a bit annoying at times (especially when trying to quickly select a big group of fighters to protect a world under attack, but none get selected because I released the cursor while over the menu area), but once I'd figured that out I thoroughly enjoyed it.
SO fun to play!
I had the most fun playing this game, out of any games I've played so far.
However the music wasn't very good, and I've played a game before with almost exactly the same mechanics.
Excellent game! Good idea, of about the right complexity, and well executed.
I found selecting the ships rather difficult, since the box I had to draw was about as big as the screen sometimes. I would have liked either a zoom-out ability, or maybe double-click a planet to select all its ships? As for balance, it seems kind of heavily slanted toward the defender. So the AI tended to get into stalemates, where I wasn't strong enough to take any of its planets, and it wasn't strong enough to take any of mine. That made it tough to advance. Maybe I just need more practice.
This is fun and surprisingly polished (kudos for the tutorial!). Selecting units is a bit too hard, because they're still moving... And there's no zoom-in/out, that hurts.
The game is simple yet interesting. Obviously might need some more balancing but it's cool.
The music is a bit too low-quality imo and might come up being annoying after some time playing, so are the effects.
Overall, though, a pretty solid entry that isn't your average retro-styled platformer. Kudos.
Interesting, it would be cool if you added things like more types of ships, and different turrets, if you continue to work on it.
I had to turn off the sound on my computer as it was corrupted (or horrific?). Seems like a fun game, but not my sort of thing.
Good idea and mechanics!
A little tutorial will be awesome!
The music induces to heart attack ! haha
GJ!
Nice little strategy/resource management game. Reminded me of Eufloria. The only thing was I never needed to use missile defenses or medic ... boxes at all. My strategy was just to build as many oil wells as possible then build hordes of flying drones and send them to any nearby planets. The only major problem I had was on the bigger maps, keeping track of all my units as many of them sat unused, circling planets with me having forgotten all about them. It would have been nice if they showed up on the mini-map. Good job overall though!
Great game! 2nd level is hard.
Very cool game, a bit easy when you got it, but it was a lot of fun!
Really fun but needs polish! If you give it a better User Interface, it would be really cool!
Interesting game but the music hurts a lot.
Nice work :)
Top marks for innovation, mood, theme and graphics. Are you finishing this?
@Incredible Ape: Yeah drawing fighters on the minimap is something I definitely wanted to do, along with making a fighter cap and making you able to navigate via the minimap with fighters selected...
@Christina: Not necessarily finishing this, but I am porting this to mobile devices and trying to do some more polish along the way.
