LD20 — It's Dangerous to Go Alone! Take This!

The Heart is Safe by intmain 2011-05-02T16:47:00

Awesome. And the colors are sweet.

Entity by LeafThief 2011-05-02T14:59:00

First of all: god this is pretty. The music is also awesome. It took me about 10 or 15 runs through the game before I figured out what I was doing. It seems to be that if I stay near all the people, I slowly turn into them. The 3 faces on my life bar accumulate, then I "conform" and then lose. If I stay away from them, though, my life bar runs out. But I can turn my photographs into auras which I can always come back to to regain my life.

Wicked awesome, I would say experiment with making the levels a bit larger so that it's not so easy to just run and collect all the photographs before my life runs out.

Entity by LeafThief 2011-05-02T15:01:00

Also, there wasn't an "accessibility" category, so you're ending up with a pretty high rating from me. (:

Armageddon Moochery by mintman 2011-05-02T15:37:00

Sweet game. The animation is really nice, the screenshots don't do it justice. I wish the interface was a little better organized, it took me a few minutes to figure out what everything was.

Retrace by hulahulahest 2011-05-02T15:25:00

This mechanic is pretty well-known these days, but this implementation is awesome! It's really interesting to have only one "ghost." The levels were great, and the art is perfect.

Bonifaco's Bazaar by johanp 2011-05-02T13:08:00

Super cool.

LD21 — Escape

Brine by morganquirk 2011-08-25T21:42:00

I appreciate all the feedback about the hide mechanic. I'm having trouble deciding what the right solution is, but I'm confident that the wrong answer is a hiding indicator.

With the checkpoints I added at the last minute, the game is already watered-down enough to make the monster feel like barely a threat. If I make it easy to know when you're safe, the game will be reduced to some mediocre graphics and effects.

Maybe I should just better teach the player what sorts of hiding would be effective against a huge monster.

LD22 — Alone

0 ALONE by Neonlare 2011-12-19T07:37:00

OKAY! So this was pretty beautiful but I agree that the interactivity didn't really meany anything, except a nice way to give you an avatar and to make you explore the image + words over time.

Solus by morganquirk 2011-12-21T18:23:00

thank you all for your feedback, criticism, and nice words :)

Separation Anxiety by TaintedFork 2011-12-21T01:37:00

Well executed, great level design.

HUG MONSTER by recursive frog 2011-12-19T07:14:00

:D cute and fun

LD23 — Tiny World

Big Space Tiny Man by invaderJim 2012-04-24T18:25:00

Woah, the tiny people made me uncomfortable as hell, like bugs crawling up me. Strange effect. Anyway, cute game, "SUN" is hilarious.

Tiny Domination by Daz 2012-04-24T18:21:00

This game was awesome. It was fairly easy, though, I think there could have been levels where I was at a significant disadvantage, but there weren't any like that. The balance of purchase options was not totally off, but I think the resource collectors should maybe cost 150 or 200? Either that or make them less effective.

Moon Base by morganquirk 2012-04-26T19:15:00

Hi! Thanks, you guys, for all the nice comments and criticism. I would've liked to have a kinder difficulty curve but I also wanted to show off the different things you can do with the mechanic, and I couldn't figure out how to balance them. Maybe I'll make more and better levels some day.

Our Tiny World by hamburger 2012-04-25T05:45:00

The premise is really cute, I played it to the end. I wasn't sure if there was much of a strategy or if it was just trying to find the optimal house location, but anyway it would have been cool to play it with another person!

sailboatboatboat by prettymuchbryce 2012-04-28T01:27:00

I thought this was fun. I like the idea of a game about fishing and shooting at pirates. It would be cool if there were more things to do in the game, but it was pretty nice.

Shoebox World by sanojian 2012-04-24T18:48:00

:D cute game. I still don't exactly understand the mechanics but I was able to beat it.

LD24 — Evolution

Richard Dawkins' Magnificent Microcosm of Mechanically Mutational Evolution! by JMRante 2012-08-28T16:13:00

I like this a lot! I actually enjoy the trial and error nature of it, honestly.

Richard Dawkins' Magnificent Microcosm of Mechanically Mutational Evolution! by JMRante 2012-08-28T16:29:00

I won! It took a while :D

And Thus She Spake by pbdiode 2012-08-28T15:44:00

Yay Love! This is a pretty interesting game, actually, it took me a little bit to figure out all the mechanics. Trying to balance eating stuff to survive with not getting too big was a challenge. The game starts out pretty difficult, I wish there were fewer things for the first 30s~ or so, and more of them were small.
