I liked the pink one! A+

davision 2016-12-13 18:48

It has lot of style and charme but the theme with one room is a bit of a stretch and I feel look the moving around to do the actions is more of a annoyance then fun. Otherwise the mechanics are cool, I just feel with different controls it could be much better.

nice art and interesting idea!

jungle 2016-12-13 19:09

Honestly, one of best i've seen in LD#37. Innovation 5/5, fits theme with much creativity (one room is the tank from inside). Challenging game, graphs and audio very good too!! 5/5 overall

Oh my god this is amazing. The actual gameplay is fairly tricky because it's so easy for one thing to go wrong while you're busy fixing another, especially when the cannon and umbrella require such good timing. Still, the music is a perfect fit, the graphics are very well done, and this is easily the funniest thing I've seen this LD.

Personal Best: 16587 on attempt 2. Also, did someone on the dev team read Karl Capek's War With the Newts?

etherealwhisper 2016-12-13 19:48

Nice one! The animations look so cool! ^-^

obvious-industries 2016-12-13 20:52

Guess ~17.000 is enough to have experienced the game. Pretty cool! Would like to see more like this. And the Graphics are really lovely :)

slovakyan 2016-12-13 20:55

Looks cool! Really good art and idea. Keep up the good work :)

fragileannihilator 2016-12-13 22:11

Awesome mechanics! I liked the indirct control concept. And the graphics are pretty.
Though it was a bit unclear to me what items I can interact with. Perhaps you could highlight hem in some way.

slimabob 2016-12-13 23:50

Amazing!! I loved the panicked gameplay of trying to manage all your different pieces of equipment, and the art style is great.

My best score was 16975, and I think this is one game that I'm going to keep installed and playing long after the event is over.

uliana-galich 2016-12-14 13:15

Congrats!!! Nice game.

trodrigues 2016-12-15 18:13

Very nice game, really liked the arts, but can be more dificult.

harusame 2016-12-15 18:22

Wow it's fun ! Music and art art really good, nice job team :)

My best score : 13500

jorbits 2016-12-15 19:59

Very cool game!

redbutton 2016-12-15 20:10

Great southparkish Design concept.
The poor humans seemed only to be dancing to the coal beat.
15000 something - damn, I nearly have beaten the dev :-)

zarkonnen 2016-12-15 20:39

Amazing weird-ass graphics. I won't rate it because I'm running it under Wine and the controls don't work. :P

jeroenman 2016-12-15 20:53

was hooked right from the beginning. really good music. gameplay took me while to figure out, but got it. then it seemed I could only destroy tanks and helicopters?

weeping-rupee 2016-12-15 23:28

This is one of the most fully realized games I've seen so far this LD. Excellent work; especially to your artist. The whole concept is just so great-- I actually wish it was two player so I could play it with my kid (Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a little to complex for him but this is beautifully straightforward). The title, how you used the theme, the actual gameplay all super fun.

I have no notes except that I wish there was some kind of end state or progression in the background. The other invading mechs are a great touch but I wish we were maybe getting closer and closer to like a Pentagon or White House or something.

I also thought you could maybe do some cool stuff with the water level affecting exactly what weapons you had access to (maybe you cant get above where the water level is)

These are just minor nit picks though, GREAT game.

david-cookie 2016-12-15 23:52

One of the best games I've played so far, very polished in every aspects! Congrats to all of you :)

beardybard 2016-12-16 02:13

That's just pure awesomeness!
It would be cool too if player could just press a key (like 1 for umbrella, 2 for cannon, etc) to send his fish at certain locations of Mechaxolotl.

peachtreeoath 2016-12-16 03:37

Great execution but I couldn't help but draw parallels to Dangerous Spacetime. 1 extra mechanic probably could've shaken things up.

joeprogram 2016-12-16 04:27

Really nice! Reminded me of Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, but the addition of the water mechanic was a nice touch. Great humor with the battle umbrella and pump system. Personal Best: 18283 - pretty close!

mighty-buxx 2016-12-16 10:14

Cool game. Graphics, gameplay, music - everything's really nice. But I think you'd better to highlight objects what you can interact with. I didn't notice all of them at first :) For example, it needs few deaths to understand that you can do to second floor, etc.

zkenshin 2016-12-17 00:02

This was cool, nice take on the theme. Loved the art style, good job!

lucas-ferrantelli 2016-12-18 12:22

Very nice game !

p4nurge 2016-12-19 11:04

19,251!!! My favourite so far this jam, I think. Loved the mechanics, the visuals, the audio, the premise. The whole thing was very polished and very enjoyable to play. Thanks!

notester 2016-12-19 12:22

Heh, I've always liked the idea of a game where you control a machine by moving around inside it, activating stuff. c: Nice game!

barkergames 2016-12-20 01:10

Wow, I really liked this one. Very simple, yet fun!
The music really played into the mood, I love it.
Great job!
