Love your art style, Good Game!!
Impressive art style. Gameplay is good, i liked playing it.
I would recommend to get rid of the invisible walls, but that's just a minor point of comment
good work on that art and audio sfx, and the deep music that starts when the night comes sure was scary :D
my only issue really was the collision detection, sometimes the movement of the playes was a bit clumsy and it took a while until i got through a door, or the moment i used water on the hole i dug the game just reset and left me confused.
but other than that great job!
The art is really good, it's a pity that were are not able to play the game in full screen in ordere to enjoy it. Also, don't hesitate to name your files correctly, it's the icing on the cake. Congrats.
Is the art drawed by hand?
@danyvk our artist used a graphic tablet + Photoshop. So yeah, fully hand drawn if that's what you mean.
When that spider popped out I about pooped myself! lol
Artstyle is awesome and the music fits. My remark would probably be, that I found the main character incredible slow and with the dying in the dugged hole with water (which was electric even though I didn't start the generator yet) it was pretty tedious to do again. Arachnid was pretty awesome with the music change :]
I really love the art. Unfortunately I couldnt solve the game, after a few tries the canister did not respawn but I had two versions of the tool from the workbench and two overlapping wells. The appearance of the spider is very cool. :)
Good looking game :) the mood is very dark too .. well done there is a bug where all object are duplicated :/ so it is hard to get the content of them
I couldn't play, bugs are pouring in one after another, I couldn't pass with 6 attempts unfortunately, because the game looks good and you expect a blockbuster cool movie.
Very cool art and nice atmosphere! The puzzle was enjoyable to solve and I liked all the comments that the character made on examining stuff.
The area of effect of the water trap seems too big to me and I killed myself like three time while walking around it  I think I also caught a bug. After I killed the spider with the trap, the game didn't really end. So I went to the spider (thinking that maybe I have to examine the corpse or something). I examined it and my character commented on it like it was a tank with gas, not a spider. And suddenly, the game just reset. But not fully. Everything sort of went back to the beginning but there was no shovel to be found and the generator was on fire. I'm really not sure what happened there
Cool game overall. Congrats!
Looks really nice and it was fun to play! I think it may have had some bugs with items disappearing after dying, and the hitbox for the pool was too big and doorways were too narrow. The puzzles were fun to figure out, overall good job!
A really nice game! I love the way exploration was set up, as well as the buildup in tension in the audio, and graphics were also very nice. Walking and collisions were a bit funky though
Great art. I like the backgrounds.
@fabula-rasa & everybody else, sorry for all the bugs, the game is kinda broken and goes completely nuts after one session - like, some items & states reset - and some not. By the way, the trap does not kill the spider - it only stuns the beast. then you have to figure out how to finish him :)
@fragileannihilator Oh! I figured that the trap kills the spider because after I made it, all the items disappeared from my inventory and I could no longer have any "meaningful" interactions with anything in the world. Now that I know he was only stunned, I have to play again and see
@fabula-rasa I encourage you to wait for the version with fixed critical issues :)
@fragileannihilator I will wait then. I mean, if the developer recommens, how can I not listen
I'll be grateful if you @ me when the new-and-improved version is out!
Very nice game, I had a lot of fun playing it :3
@fabula-rasa Hey there, we fixed and uploaded the build, check it out! ;)
@nekopi Thanks for letting me know! I played and this time I was indeed able to finish the game just fine! Killed the monster and now I can finally get to fixing my car
However, there is still one bug with resetting left. When you fix the generator - that fact never resets. So in any loop afterwards the water you poor into a hole immediately gets electrified and you get killed (even if you fill the hole with water first and never touch the generator on that particular loop day). There is no way out of this (that I could find) except for starting the game anew and making sure you can kill the spider on the same loop day before you even touch the generator.

Aw snap! We'll do a quick fix asap, big thank you for letting us know! @fabula-rasa Thanks for playing the game, we happy to see that you've finished it :)
The graphics on this game are georgeous! I liked how you had multiple ways to get water. This game is also very rewarding when you find out what to do. I like how it doensnt hold your hand. The environmental art also supports the mechanics very well. Great work!
The Art Style....of the game was great......and it felt like I am playing Starve....It was good...game play....Nice Game...man...
Really nice art. Interesting little loop.
Really nice art! The hitboxes felt kind of wonky, and I wish we had more backstory as to why our poor hero is experiencing the same day over and over, and why there's a weird spider/antlion thing attacking him!
That meme sound ruined such a good atmosphere to me, but I guess you aimed for Humor as well. :smirk:
Not on the first try yet somehow I did it:

Interesting idea but controlls looks weird. Mixing together mouse & keyboard in a game, where mouse is not needed at all is a strange decision. But overall very nice graphic and atmosphere.
@icxon oh, looks like you've won thanks to a bug :) btw, exactly what meme sound are you talking about? Indeed, we aimed for Humor, but it's the text that should've made players chuckle, not the sounds :)
I like the game! It is fun and it fills like a finished product for 48 hours. Well done !
Very nice graphics, well done) I tried to kill the spider few days in a row, so I realized that it is a loop of days and I should break it)
We can feel the hard work behind this game :) It's clean, funny and very nice, well done !
Looks really neat, but a lot of computers can't open .rar files on their own, you need to download software for that. Making the files .zip is very easy so I would definitely recommend that! Would love to play so let me know if you do.
Very cool given the short time you were given, but I could not finish it after like 10 attempts. Overall good art style! I like the spider animation and the design of the hole residence and garage. I just wish it was a bit more engaging while exploring the beautiful art style! Cheers!
Loved the art style! Ran into some collision issues; felt like I died to my own electrified pool a few times despite not feeling like I got that close to it. Otherwise, would have beaten it on the first day.
Great game! I loved the art style and the ambient music set the mood especially the first time through when I wasn't sure what the risk was. It's unfortunate that it still felt somewhat buggy and unpolished, even after post-jam fixes (nothing game breaking, just small things like the player continues to move when you're killed). My second attempt I got far enough to stun the spider, but after 5 more attempts of thoroughly searching and trying things in different combinations, I wasn't able to figure out anything to do with the torch or how to kill the spider, so I gave it up. My final impression is that it really could have used some additional play testing and polish around the edges, but it's overall a very creative and beautiful game. Well done!
@humnyn hello there, I have uploaded a build in a zip format, sorry for inconvenience :)
@nekopi Thank you! Downloaded it and it looks great, although something might've broken when zipping it because I can't seem to use any of the items I've found? At least if it's supposed to be click and point or click and drag or something, interacting with an object with the item in your inventory doesn't work either... but maybe I've just missed something?
@humnyn Try using mouse scroll to select the item you want and then pressing E to interact with something. Controls are kinda messy, sorry about that. Maybe this will help:Controls.jpg
Super cool graphics :D
Looks great and has a good atmosphere, however the spider got stuck on my third or fourth day and was just looping in the corner, oh and I noticed the the guitar riff during the attack doesn't loop, but then again probably no one is supposed to hear it for as long as I did hah. By the way how do you light the torch? :open_mouth: nevertheless, great entry and job well done!
@mackandrius hey there, thanks for your comment and your keen eye, would appreciate some steps on how the spider got stuck so I can fix it :). Hint: You need to find a way to stun a spider first and then you'll find the source of fire to light the torch ;)
@nekopi oh right, gotcha! I think it must've been on the third or fourth night, I was waiting by my electricity pool trap setup and the spider wouldn't arrive so I started walking around and found it stuck above the fuel tank (it didn't seem to be touching anything and the walking animation was being played)
@mackandrius understood! Thanks for the feedback and bug report! :3
@candlelight ahh I see, thank you! A way to access that keymap mid-game would be great, had some issues reaching the main menu without restarting the game again. Did play it through now, can tell you put a lot of work into this!
I really appreciate the visuals and audio feedback, it was both high quality and atmospheric. I got a bit spoiled with the gameplay but it the "puzzle" of figuring out what to do still seemed pretty intuitive and straight-forward, even if I could've used maybe a bit more clearer objective (such as "lay a trap"). The bugs can kind of take away from the quality of the game, which is unfortunate, since I really like what you've got here otherwise. All in all, good job team! :-)
So far I wasn't able to fiish the game - the spider seems to get stuck above the fueltank every time, even allowing me to walk throught it unharmed.
Other than this I quite enjoyed the game. The first time I played I had only looked at a few items/places by the time it was.... well "time to die". Figuring out what everything does was fun, even though I'm still not sure whether there is a relation between fixing the sink and killing the spider^^
The art is outright stunnign for a jam game and audio and the slow walk speed do their part to create a dense athmosphere. Aside from the bug the one thing that would help this game a lot in my option would be a fullscreen version. I assume this might stretch the 2D assets beyond their limits, but even a version with similar size of the actual game and a large black frame to fill in the rest of the screen would help the game be more immersive.
@radow thanks for your feedback! We'll see what can be done with that issue with the soider getting stuck. Also, there is a fullscreen option, you just have to enable it in the settings menu (can be accessed from the main menu).
As for the sink - well, the original intention was to give the player multiple solutions for every step needed to defeat the enemy. However, we've cut a lot of objects and the sink in the only alternative option that survived until the release. You can use it to get water from the well, it just needs some fixing up. On paper it sounded like a faster option that required more effort - 3 seconds to fix the sink and 4 seconds to pour some water into the bucket, whereas it takes 15 seconds to use the well. But we placed the wrench too far from the sink and there was no time for balancing and playtesting, so in the end, seems like the player has no benefits from getting water from the sink...
Thanks for the detailed reply @fragileannihilator . The idea to have multiple ways to fullfill the required tasks sounds pretty good, even if the balance doesn't end up checking out. The long time required to fill the waterbucket allways lead me to quickly gather the items from the house, then get the water and then go to the garage... so I never fixed the sink before gettign the water, but it makes sense that this would be an alternative option to get water, its a sin kafter all.
I'll happily give the game another go if there is a new version over the coming days =)
It is IMPRESSIVE
Super solid game! very nicely done, and absolutely love the art style! You know a game jam game succeeds when it leaves you wanting a full-game experience and this one certainly does! Mn, I would love to see this expanded on and made bigger!
Nice game with alot of content! I think it's too hard/unclear/buggy how to beat the spider and win, but on the other hand i must say i haven't seen many LD games with such stunning graphics and cool music! : )
The art is very attractive, the spider scared me so much tho ðŸ˜, but besides the difficulty I faced trying to figure out how to end the spider, it was quite enjoyable:)
I feel like there was a great teamwork involved during the development of this game, because I just love it and can't believe you made this in such small time! I like the many interactions you can do to complete tasks, like with the water. This is probably one of the best games of this jam.
