There is a glitch where i can constantly hit the space bar so I can float in the air. I love the 2D game in a 3D world, although it's rather linear from point A to point B.

tommislav 2015-04-20 10:08

Ouch, there seems to be a bug with the raycasting... That's not good, if your'e unlucky you will break the game by doing that. Will investigate tonight. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

paperblurt 2015-04-20 13:27

Tommy!
You know I like your stuff.
Have you done the graphics or is that Steve too?
A bug or two isn't a problem...

tommislav 2015-04-20 13:57

PaperBlurt: thank you so much.
I made all the graphics, but since I cannot do 3d modelling I had to stick to cubes in Unity. Turned out better than I thought =)

figglewatts 2015-04-20 14:35

I really like the graphics.

hypp 2015-04-20 17:23

Excellent as usual! It took me a while to figure out that I should use the mouse button to pour the coffee.

tommislav 2015-04-20 21:10

Thanks a lot!
You can pour coffee with the mouse button, or - preferrably - using left Control. It's the default control scheme for Unity.

tommislav 2015-04-20 21:11

By the way. I have updated the builds and removed the infinite double jumps. No other changes were made than fixing that bug.

hyoga-3d 2015-04-21 03:26

Nice concept, good entry.

dreadzilla 2015-04-21 20:13

Excellent work. I liked it a lot. Nice music and style.

rudra 2015-04-21 21:06

I like the graphics and it's simplicity, nice one :)

hotboxgames 2015-04-21 21:08

Really like the level design, all the rotation and stuff was awesome. Great job!

smilingcat 2015-04-21 21:13

Very nice, loved the art style, and coffee is definitely an unusual weapon. Great job!

trappytrap92 2015-04-21 22:33

Bit glitchy and linear, but I like the simple 3D graphics. Great coffee weapon as well

teamcalcium 2015-04-21 22:34

I like the camera-movement and scheme of
the game.
Perhaps an other musictrack would be a good
choice... Perhaps something happy.

tentabrobpy 2015-04-21 22:38

Amazing game! Who knew the robot uprising could be quelled by something as simple as coffee? The way you could see the level in the background was cool and while the turning effect was occasionally buggy it worked 9 times out of 10 and when it did it looked great! This game could do with some sound effects but the music was nice and ominous and really set the tone

dos 2015-04-21 23:09

Interesting idea! Link to Linux version points to OS X one - easily fixable by replacing "osx" in the link with "linux" ;)

ethproductions 2015-04-21 23:44

Interesting idea! The turning was a bit buggy (I once fell down to the robot while halfway through the game), but it worked smoothly most of the time. 4/5 overall.

tommislav 2015-04-22 05:03

@dos Ouch, thanks for pointing that out! Fixed the link to the linux build.

aevek 2015-04-22 06:18

Really cool game! I like the way that the 2.5D worked. One suggestion I have would be to turn down the shininess/smoothness/metalicness on the materials in unity. I find that low poly stuff often looks better if its not all shiny. Definitely looks good all the same though.

tuism 2015-04-22 07:56

Mmmmmmmmm...

The premise is good, the direction/design of the narrative is good, I love how the camera angles work to show you the boss in the beginning then work your way to it in the end, that's great :)

But the game itself lacks any real agency/challenge... The awkward angle makes moving left into the screen deadly if there's an enemy, then the attack doesn't communicate super well. I don't know how many "hits" it takes to kill something.

When you first got the mug I thought it was to prevent coffee from dripping on your head - it seemed to make the most sense given that the first enemy dripped coffee from overhead. So I tried that and promptly died. I remembered getting hit earlier and not dying, so I wasn't sure how many hits it takes to kill myself because there's no life indicator.

Was interesting overall, just lacked nuance.

sararycow 2015-04-22 22:11

I like the 2.5D platforming. Nice robots :D.

everlessdrop41 2015-04-22 23:18

Love the game, very interesting. I personally would like a bit more freedom in movement but I like the concept

sputnik 2015-04-23 00:39

Nice use of the 2.5D et unity primitives, makes a nice minimalistic look.

ruerob 2015-04-23 07:56

Solid entry! Nice music! I like your game! Well done!

lyje 2015-04-23 18:25

Very, very weird. Mostly in a good way :) Love the music and graphics, and the first time I used the coffee I laughed out loud. Control is a bit strange; took me a while to realise it was all constrained (took longer because the camera frequently doesn't keep up!). And as fun as using the coffee is, I didn't really get what it did, despite finishing.

ryusui 2015-04-23 22:25

Love the funky perspective on everything. My only gripe is the lack of feedback from enemies - hard to tell if/when my coffee is doing damage.

2015-04-24 10:47

This turned out excellent! I had no idea programart could look that good.
I am very relieved that there are checkpoints

arcturusdeluxe 2015-04-25 14:27

Nice sense of mood. Simple graphics but they manage to look pretty cool with the interesting use of perspective and such. Gameplay is decent, though I think using the coffee on enemies could have done with some more feedback, was never quite sure if it was doing anything. Nice job overall though.

ultravisitor 2015-04-25 15:31

I like he simplicity of the control. It seems like a good scheme for a touch screen. I think it lacks feed back for things like doing damage. But otherwise a great entry :D

vilcans 2015-04-26 20:26

Good as usual. Nice with a variety of enemies, and coffee sure is an unusual weapon.

garethiw 2015-04-29 19:23

Nice Audio, a little bit Linear for me.

deadbodyoutline 2015-05-04 02:00

interesting interpretation of the theme. Got a segfault after defeating the final boss, but it not interfered with the experience at all ;)
