LD24 — Evolution

Evolwar by headchant 2012-08-30T17:57:00

Hope this wins.

The Destiny of Species by kurrik 2012-08-30T16:46:00

Why does it quit the application when you die? That's such an annoying choice you made there.

LD26 — Minimalism

Mini Pirates! by josefnpat 2013-04-30T19:36:00

Fantastic. Loving the oldschool Nintento palette.

Sadly I'm unable to get past Day 10, despite several attempts. Seems I'm not cut out to be a pirate.

Kall Me Krieg by rhysvdw 2013-05-02T12:44:00

Is there some sort of goal to this? Would have been cool to see it developed a little further.

50 years by echa 2013-05-05T00:40:00

Really needs some way to list the build commands. Fun, always good to see text games on here.

Filters Are Us by cyanpelican 2013-04-30T19:45:00

Bring on the brown torch

MinZ by unpronounceable 2013-05-02T12:11:00

Such an odd mechanic, yet it works well. I do feel that it is far too slow to begin with though.

Squared by Shorefire 2013-05-03T23:09:00

I do like a challenge. The slow motion mechanic is cool.

Overly Detailed Stickman by ttakamoto 2013-05-02T12:16:00

Would have been nice to start at level two when I die on it.

Brutaliz'Art LD26 by lotusgame 2013-05-03T20:27:00

Amazing, laughed so much whilst playing this. My only gripe is the garish colours.

Also, damn, that leaderboard is tough to get on.

Bodyguards and Assassins by Hectate 2013-05-02T13:04:00

Wow.

quadTRI by markusfisch 2013-05-02T23:39:00

I feel that an additional rule of some sort would help sharpen the gameplay a little, it's easy to soft-lock each other into a stalemate. Also, some ambient audio would be lovely.

Great presentation and execution though, really enjoyed this.

potential energy generator by rsodre 2013-05-02T12:22:00

Far too loud. Interesting idea though, amazing to see so many ways of having interaction on a single dimension this LD.

Mini Circle Wars by kreddor 2013-05-02T12:57:00

This is pretty solid! One of my favourite LD entries thus far.

*Damn you, orange circles!"

Nothing is Impossible by Zekyon 2013-05-05T00:47:00

The music was too loud, though it sounded ok. Appropriately titled! High score would have been cool. Very fun.

Get The Potato by invaderJim 2013-05-04T13:13:00

Jokes. The voice overs rock.

AUGURY&VICTORY VOL1 by SwineTheZinester 2013-05-02T22:30:00

I do like the atmospheric entries.

hru by gilmore606 2013-05-02T12:07:00

Very chilled out. The sound effects and ambient pads are great.

Meteoranger by Jhelle 2013-04-30T17:47:00

This is great, I love the firing mechanic. I do feel that the player moves a tad too fast though, I found it hard to make accurate movements and mostly resorted to swiping from side to side, ha.

Very pretty and innovative.

Path Breaker by kyru 2013-05-03T20:12:00

Wow, Pong on crack! Found it really challenging, which is awesome. Great work.

Where is Pixel by ananasblau 2013-05-03T00:18:00

Wish I'd picked hard mode first time round, neat little entry.

S.A.M by Lafolie 2013-04-30T17:49:00

I think the windows build may be 64bit, I'll see what I can do. Thanks!

S.A.M by Lafolie 2013-05-01T15:25:00

Indeed, we had time issues since I (reluctantly) had to work my day job during LD, so we had a deficit of around 24 man hours. We all agree about the mechanics, the first level was originally intended to be a tutorial that introduced the abilities.

Thanks for the criticisms and praises thus far. I do have sketches for 2 more levels and a breakdown of how S.A.M gradually diminishes, and we're considering finishing the game proper.

Oh, the trick to 'floaty boxes' is to use others to stand on before firin' the lazor, though there are a few that are unbreakable 'dummies'.

Tzatzauberer by keksdev 2013-04-30T17:41:00

Neat little concept, it'd be great to have a chilled-out game like this to chip away at. On my first try the map generated spikes blocking the path, so the level was impossible to complete.

The Mac version worked fine for me (actually one of the few jar files I've tried that did!)

Saishou Sentou by Joshua Douglass-Molloy 2013-04-30T17:04:00

This is very playful, the music is really apt and inspirational.

Dungeoneer by protensity 2013-04-30T19:11:00

Wow, that was amazing! I love the sense of exploration, even in the second part when you have to figure out what the hell is going on (which fits perfectly with the story).

Auraline by Julian Ceipek 2013-04-30T18:19:00

This is awesome. Audio, graphics and challenge are all top-notch.

LD28 — You Only Get One

Boulder Boomerang by Kikkers 2013-12-22T00:20:00

Nice use of moody two-tone graphics.

The Battle of Infinite Birds by thegoofromspace 2013-12-22T01:18:00

This would be much more fun with more responsive controls. Neat idea.

Yogo Boom by rogerklotz 2013-12-22T00:06:00

Neat game, enjoyable to line up combo hits. Especially fun to create a circle of death and lead the enemies through.

Boomerang Battle by Lafolie 2013-12-19T11:31:00

Thanks for comments. Bugfixes are being worked on, the only issue left is the collision bug that deletes the boomerang. Due to the physics this is proving tough to fix, but we've narrowed it down the culprit function. New binaries should be available in the next day or two.

Boomerang Blade by hamster_mk_4 2013-12-22T00:34:00

Fun game, decent 3D graphics for LD.

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Whac-A-Something! by LPGhatguy 2014-04-29T01:35:00

Cool game. The penguins are awesome!

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

PC WARS by Lafolie 2014-12-16T22:38:00

Hey guys, thanks for all the comments so far! We found a couple of esoteric bugs, we're working on a patch.

@Night :
It seems that you are running an old version of löve. This line calls the window module which was added in 0.9.0, I'm guessing you have 0.8.x installed? If you're on Arch the latest version is in the arch repos, for Ubuntu and friends you can use Bart's ppa at:

https://launchpad.net/~bartbes/+archive/ubuntu/love-stable

Or else grab it from https://love2d.org

Loading command by luker128 2014-12-10T19:24:00

This is great. The balancing seems just right. Would love to have this in another game such as Battlefield where the loading takes a long time.

Also the arcade vibe is really cool.

CHROMAクロマ2 by PIXEL ピザロール JOLT 2014-12-10T19:19:00

It's nice to see something like this. The audio was great, really enjoyed it. The difficulty ramps up a bit too fast though. Looking forward to getting to the last level.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Separated by rxi 2015-09-14T13:52:00

I don't feel that there is a game here, however I do feel that this is a fantastic piece of interactive software. I find it difficult to describe because it blurs the ludonarrative boundaries, kinda like Facade. Very immersive, and the lighting system was very well implemented.

Lurker of the Night: Shamzalla by VividReality 2015-09-14T14:13:00

The mechanics are a bit finicky, but everything else is great. Very high quality audio/visuals for an LD entry though the perspective makes it a little tough to determine where might be a good place to hide.

Robo-Pilot: Monster Smash by Space_man 2015-09-14T13:43:00

Very nice adaptation of the QWOP 'genre', however the addition of so many controllable elements makes it so much more difficult to play. That said, I love the inclusion of rocket boosters on the feet (it would have looked great with some particle effects!). Fun!

A World in Venom by Liam :D 2015-09-14T14:03:00

I couldn't really play the game properly because all the interactive elements seemed to be offset from the visual positioning.

You are them, on s.t.e.r. by Erkberg 2015-09-14T13:32:00

I had a really strange issue where the camera would rotate clockwise on its own constantly so I wasn't able to fully experience the game. Didn't rate, but what I could discern seemed interesting.

The Monster Within by S0lll0s 2015-09-14T13:15:00

Quite enjoyed this entry. The mechanic of not being able to recognise friend from foe in 'beast mode' is very clever. Really enjoyed playing with that mechanic. Audio was a little overpowering, but sounded great and created a tense atmosphere.

Weregoat by bakpakin 2015-09-14T13:07:00

Pretty good. My primary complaint is that there are no checkpoints, and the fact that there is a lot of insta-death makes it overly difficult.

Great Wall of Trump by VideahGams 2015-09-14T13:23:00

Certainly controversial! My high score was 98! It was pretty difficult overall but is a complete entry with a win/loss game loop and runs on 3DS! Wow.

Humon by Lafolie 2015-08-25T19:43:00

Oh, thanks for that! How careless of me.

You have to walk to the alien above you when the game starts. I wanted to have some rocks placed there so that this wouldn't happen but it never got done.

Humon by Lafolie 2015-09-10T16:08:00

Thanks for all the feedback guys!

Also, to Wertle, thanks for your insights. I actually watched your stream, glad you enjoyed it. The level design itself was a little rushed and done by our lead programmer. I did actually include an north-facing cave entrance tile but sadly we never got time to re-design the maps. Our focus was more on getting the idea across, which I think is something you hit on.

Thanks again!

yummy, tasty humans by undef 2015-09-14T13:36:00

Really short with little substance. Feel the the idea could be built upon further.

Shark Swimulator by Karai17 2015-09-14T13:05:00

Very impressive, good to see Love3D actually working with models, collision and all that jazz. Also, having translations available is incredible for an LD entry.

Museum City Boat by geckojsc 2015-09-14T13:16:00

Annoying controls and fairly short, but had a lot fun playing this entry! Control explanation would have been helpful :)

Monstrous Bosses by Drauthius 2015-09-14T13:25:00

Really like music and the graphics but I felt like there could have been more of a difficulty ramp, it was initially very difficult.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Wizard Vs Warlock by Lafolie 2015-12-28T16:51:00

@scorched have you tried setting your keybinds in the main menu?
