LD22 — Alone

The Library of Madness by protensity 2011-12-23T00:44:00

Great feedback! Yea the graphics are REAL simple in traditional roguelike fashion. I thought a library was more evocative than just "oh it's a dungeon."

Sorry about the kitten :) congrats on finding it though - there's only two and they aren't exactly easy to get to. I haven't seen a game freeze yet on several computers so I'm really curious what made your experience different. If you re-read this let me know what kind of computer/operating system you were using for future reference.

The other points are totally valid. I would have loved to make some additional tweaks, but I used the time I had!

LD26 — Minimalism

F*** This Job by Casino Jack 2013-05-07T01:31:00

Platforming distilled to one button - a design feat to say the last.

Octopia by My Sweet Whomp 2013-04-29T22:02:00

I like seeing HTML5 games with great art styles. The collision detection was a little poor, but it looks like a great start for something bigger.

Chromatater by Jim Haslett 2013-04-30T00:48:00

The soundtrack is perhaps a little repetitive, but it has the basic elements of what could be a really neat and surprising puzzle platforming game.

Free* by Kortuga 2013-04-30T01:06:00

Excellent little game. I think you have a real knack for visual storytelling.

The game kind of beats you over the head with is themes from the beginning though - a little subtlety would make the story even better.

Feint Signal by brxtr 2013-05-04T19:56:00

It has a really distinct style and fun music. Well done!

climbing 208 feet up the ruin wall by Porpentine 2013-04-30T01:44:00

It kept going and going - way longer than I expected.

It's so simple, but there's a lot of dialog. Talented writing.

Broke Down by saguaro 2013-04-30T01:31:00

Very unique visuals and concept for a Twine game. How much of the custom flair did you create yourself?

Back to Rainbows by Nangie 2013-04-30T00:22:00

Also can't play MSVCR110.dll

CHAMELEON RUN by Split82 2013-05-04T19:20:00

Really nice sense of speed. At first I thought it was too easy, but play it long enough and it gets really fun.

Simple and great with good music.

What Would You Do? by Psytew 2013-04-30T00:16:00

Neat idea for the theme for sure. I like narrative games.

Sometimes a little hard to read due to the wall of text.

Chez Angelo by EdoMiyamoto 2013-05-01T22:08:00

Very trippy feeling - feels a little incomplete there towards the end though.

Pencil (OUYA) by wallmasterr 2013-04-30T00:28:00

Very cool and innovative idea. A little tricky to play.

Million Dollar Manbaby by Lianne Booton 2013-04-29T22:24:00

Excellent little game - I like the upgrade idea.

REVOLVENGARDE by Andrio 2013-04-30T01:18:00

Definitely one of the best games I've played this Ludum Dare.

The Super Hexagon inspiration is obvious, but I love Super Hexagon so it is not unwelcome. The music is great, the controls are smooth.

Hard to want more from a 48 hour game.

Solitary by PurpleMoustache 2013-04-30T00:54:00

A twine game! I also used Twine for part of mine :)

I like how simple and sweet it is.

Pure Green by Christina Nordlander 2013-04-30T01:38:00

Neat idea trying to "gamify" Twine like that. It could use a little more something - a narrative, some more choices, etc. But it's cool nonetheless, great job.

Nothing is Impossible by Zekyon 2013-04-29T22:12:00

Contrary to the title, this game seems to be, in fact, impossible.

I like how it meets the theme and I also like the neat twist on the "auto runner" genre. I'd like to see that fleshed out.

Collision detection and seemingly impossible combinations are the downside.

Tulip by Ian MacLarty 2013-05-04T19:52:00

It's so simple, but it moves so fluidly and has a catchy soundtrack - quite fun!

War Zone: Decision Points by Krahe 2013-04-30T21:56:00

Love the throwback theme.

Tons of text! How in the world did you write all that so fast?

Aaron and Alex by smilingrob 2013-05-04T20:05:00

I like the multitasking aspect a lot!

Equilibria by Khaldrin 2013-04-29T22:28:00

Excellent game! I really like the idea and the audio is fantastic. The particle effects are also nice.

A little tricky to figure out what to do at first though.

Ascenion by kreischweide 2013-05-04T20:22:00

Excellent atmosphere - glad I played it.

Tri-Forever by TaleLore 2013-04-30T00:01:00

Very neat game - fits the game perfectly. I like how it pulls the circle towards the outer edge randomly - gives it a nice twist on other games like it.

You Must Escape by GertJohnny 2013-05-01T22:21:00

Excellent game!

Killing Time by bobo72a 2013-05-01T21:59:00

I liked it - wish it was longer and had a real ending.

A-Void by kingsman142 2013-04-30T00:42:00

Nice piano track and simple game fits the theme.

I think making the obstacles coming easier to see would improve the game, but its a designers choice and goes along with being minimalistic.

Canon by sparkleswirl 2013-05-04T19:46:00

Excellent game - very difficult, but I really like the subtle musical theme that helps the player get the patterns down.

One of the best games I've played this Ludum Dare.

Mandala by arrogant.gamer 2013-04-30T21:43:00

Very cool idea - reminds me of GlitchHiker. I like seeing cool twists on text adventures.

Makes me wonder how much I missed - how many features were already destroyed by the time I got here.

Enough by simrob 2013-04-30T01:40:00

VERY minimal but it has a neat theme running through it.

Naked Shades by Lamia Queenz 2013-04-30T01:35:00

I like the feel of this one. It's not as much about narrative as it is about the feeling of each piece.

Is there an ending? I couldn't find one. I also ran into a bug with a corpse.

Time for Ascension! by sfernald 2013-04-30T01:54:00

Roll your own text adventure engine! Very cool. Twine can do just about anything itself, but it can be a pain to customize.

Black vs. White by lathomas64 2013-04-30T00:59:00

There's a nice subtle theme here.

The overt dialog at the end isn't necessary. The game is just a tad buggy - I had to restart once. Enjoyed playing though.

Improbable by mokesmoe 2013-04-30T01:25:00

Very cool Twine story - it was strange and interesting in a way that made me wonder what was going on.

MUWO by khahem 2013-04-30T01:14:00

Neat little game - gets very challenging quickly.

Always like to see new HTML5 games. With a few more levels that ramp the challenge up more slowly, this could easily be a full game.

Spark by CNIAngel 2013-04-29T22:34:00

It's a little simple but I like the music.

Sorrowfil by pbdiode 2013-04-30T22:02:00

Straightforward - but good writing, and I played a few times to see some different outcomes.

Trapped by Hopps 2013-04-30T01:47:00

I like seeing Twine do interesting things - some neat ideas here.

Different Games: A Ludum Dare Entry by devwil 2013-04-30T22:20:00

Sort of takes minimalism to an extreme :D

MiniMario by dem0 2013-04-30T00:37:00

One of the better games I've played so far. Quickly got a bit too challenging for me - but it's a nice long game with a nice relaxing music track.

Another Day In The Life by QXD-me 2013-04-29T22:17:00

Great little demo - not much to do inside though.
