LD26 — Minimalism

Zenbox by drstik 2013-04-30T16:23:00

Very nice one. I like the idea as well as the presentation - the background with the moving grass is simply amazing and really contributes to the athmosphere. The minimalistic music fits the theme. Maybe a quiet sound for the rake shoule be in too? Tracks get sometimes messed up when trying to correct small mistakes but being patient is maybe zen like. Nice contribution :)

Coin Collector by anbreizh 2013-04-29T21:57:00

Fun little game. I really liked the music and the overall retro feel of it. Only thing I did not like was that I had to constantly switch from keyboard to mouse and vice versa - partly my fault for dying a lot I guess, but it would be great if "retry"/"restarting" could be done via the keyboard. Otherwise great entry :)

X0RQUE by qgi 2013-04-30T16:12:00

Fun little game, smooth controls. Minerals are sometimes too fast to catch - maybe an afterburner would be a fun addition? The music gets a little bit repetetive after a while. Nevertheless nice one :).

Don't Hit The Core by TheSarcastic 2013-05-01T14:11:00

The concept is interesting and fits the theme. However as already stated some tiles were unclickable and the responsiveness of the whole game could be improved. But cool idea anyways.

JEB_001 by Bevilacqua 2013-04-29T22:35:00

While I really liked the concept behind it and the graphical design of the diary entries I am undecided about the game itself. Movement was a little too chunky and the collision detection was sometimes a half block off. I feel like the timer should be reset after dying from a hazard. Anyways, good effort :).

Enneadeca by Rongon 2013-05-03T16:19:00

Getting into the controls is pretty difficult. But after you managed to do so, it is a fun little game. Liked the - minimalistic - music.

Ludum lupus by Yozz 2013-04-29T20:23:00

Nice athmosphere and the particle effects were amazing and pretty cool. I really liked the spooky music and the sound effects. As for me, the combat did not fit well into the whole thing. I would have liked it better whent it just been a "semi-interactive-story". Liked the ambiguity at the end.

OnlyOne by mrexcessive 2013-04-30T18:51:00

Creative idea. I like the concept of giving/taking the control keys. Nice piano death music btw.

Bell Curve by Soundboy 2013-04-30T19:18:00

Nice overall concept. Like the idea of adding certain aspects and abilities as the game progresses (and taking them away again later on). And: wheeeee Flying at age 50! Great first entry :)

Infinitesimal by Daniel H 2013-04-30T18:01:00

I am still runnng around this maze - feels like forever - trying to find a way out. I really want to know what happens at the end... I like it.

Min by smotko 2013-05-04T12:09:00

Great concept. I felt the levels were a bit too easy though. Nevertheless the design fits the theme very well and the game has a nice minimalistic feeling. Good job.

Ascenion by kreischweide 2013-05-01T15:58:00

Great visuals and sound - contributed a lot to the atmosphere. Did not really understand my part as a player though: was I supposed to memorize some patterns or is it just "hope for the best"? Interesting entry :)

Circle Barrage by CaseyHardman 2013-05-01T14:23:00

Gratulation to your first LD. Fun little game, fits the theme. Difficulties are well scaled. Some sounds would be a nice addition and maybe some 'orientation' point for the player (maybe even a simple background would do) to get a notion of the curent movement speed and direction. But overal a solid contribution :)

The Last Night by Ivan_ 2013-04-30T18:45:00

I liked the creepy setting. Nice visuals. Well - I got killed pretty fast. And almost got a heart attack. I´m really not good at these types of games. But nevertheless a fun game and a great contribution :).

Meteoranger by Jhelle 2013-04-30T17:45:00

Great twist of a concept of having to catch your bullets before they can do any harm. I like that. As expected I destroyed the city I was supposed to protect - lesson learned: never let me control an invincible superweapon...

BasedBall by Neten 2013-05-04T18:04:00

Nicely done and challenging. I HAD to get this mean last turn right. Controls felt good, graphic style fit the theme. Some music and sound would spice up the whole game. But overall I really liked it. GG to you.

MeenoMinal by niun 2013-05-03T16:26:00

I like the look and feel of this one. The idea to explore the level is nice. The concet of the increasing sound seems interesting, looking forward to V2 :).

Art Critic by sanojian 2013-04-29T20:35:00

I liked the concep - fits the theme. Controls were a little difficult though, the tiles ended up everywhere but where I wanted them to be. The collision detection seems a little off sometimes. But the commenting art critic is absolutely hilarious. Great entry :)!

Shoot (AAA_FPS_GOTY) by quill18 2013-04-30T18:14:00

Really, really awsome! The gameplay is fast-paced, the character models are fun and the death sounds are just hilarious! Incredible that you pulled that off in 48 hours. I´m impressed. Great work!

Dungeoneer by protensity 2013-04-29T23:05:00

I loved that text adventure retro feeling. Nicely written scene descriptions. The second part is confusing first and maybe a bit too long. You should think about maybe either shorten it or give some kind of feedback telling the player that collecting the squars has any effect (maybe tint the borders of the screen with a vertain color or something similar). But I liked the "no interface" look. Good job :).

O.R.M. Ontological Ressource Management by Logun 2013-04-29T13:31:00

Addictive game with quite a replay value. I really like the "multiple strategies" concept behind this one. Reminds me a little of a minimalistic version of the buildup/economy part of a RTS game. Nice and fitting sound effects.

ProductionVille by Blinked 2013-04-29T22:18:00

Nice one and fun little game. I liked the day/night cycle and the lighting. It would be great to actually see a difference between an idle building and a building with workers assigned (or some workers moving between the building and the town hall).

MiniSim by jolle 2013-04-30T16:42:00

Wow. Simply amazing! Smooth graphics and - strangely enough - addictive gameplay. This one should have some music and - minimalistic - sounds. Otherwise great contribution. Good job!

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Planet Builder by PTSnoop 2014-04-29T18:36:00

Very cool idea :)

Sunapsis by HunLyxxod 2014-04-28T08:47:00

I really liked the idea. The last level was quite challenging and I had to try a few times before succeeding. The graphics are nice - there is a little glitch though with axon "crossover-linking" and thus omitting the "dendrite-changing" hotspot sometimes. Overall a nice one. Need more levels! :)

Ocean RESCUE by MerlijnVH 2014-04-29T19:25:00

We're gonna need a bigger boat :). I liked that big fish thing. The controls need a little tuning though, mostly I circled around survivors instead of rescuing them (and then they were eaten by Mr. Fish). The graphics were really nicely done.

Dungeon Trap by Thijsku 2014-04-29T20:02:00

Very cool game. I liked the music and the graphics style. Interesting idea to mix tower defense elements with mining/crafting playstyle. Thank you :)

Beyond our World by Neonlare 2014-04-28T08:55:00

I get the following error when trying to start the game (Win7X64) : "FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation ShaderName: shd_ray, D3DXCompile failed - result at gml_Object_o_back_Draw_0"

Dead men tell no tales by aaronjbaptiste 2014-04-29T19:44:00

Surprisingly challenging. It get´s easy after stockpiling a certain number of pirates. Maybe it needs a little balancing, but it's a really nice contribution. Thank you :)

You Are a Mole! by valgriz 2014-04-29T19:14:00

Nice one :)

Mayoran by zorfmorf 2014-04-28T14:21:00

Nice one. I liked the overall feeling of the game, you captured the "gather ressources to upgrade your village"-spirit surprisingly well. Nice music, loved the funky part at the end. Thanks for your contribution :)

Herbert Crawler by Ronin748 2014-04-29T18:58:00

Even though you did not finish the game, I think it is a very solid first contribution. The movements are fluid and the controls are responsive. The graphics are nicely done, too. Keep up the good work :)

Lonely Boy by ApoorvaJ 2014-04-28T14:03:00

Great entry. I really like the art style and the way you make the player discover the world. The choice of narrative fits the game very well and the music is beautiful.

Approaching Void by Celt 2014-04-28T18:00:00

The controls need improvement - sometimes colliding with a rock is unavoidable due to the response behavior of the player. The last part of the game was really tense and a great combination of visuals and sound. I liked the music a lot.

Stick Escape by Jase 2014-04-28T09:36:00

Liked the color cycling of the environment. Simple mechanic but nice to play. Is there an actual win condition or is this poor fellow forced to run forever?

LD35 — Shapeshift

Sky Panic by ladybenko 2016-04-18T15:01:00

Nice one. I really like the graphics - good pixel art :).

Shift shaper by Jukepoks1 2016-04-18T15:23:00

Nice idea and I really liked the rest that was going on on screen. Oh and the sound effects were simply great :D. The "blim"-sound was perfect... :)
