Great!
Thanks
Woah! This is soo fun! You guys had 2 boss fights, whaat?! This is amazing. Well done!
The game is one of the most polished games I've played so far in this jam. I'll only mention the cons: 1. The controls are very sloppy, acceleration is too much, 2. physics is not the best, better use physics materials on the moving platforms to add some friction to them
I've got to agree with @5n1p3r-4r73m1s about the controls. I had quite the trouble with trying to accurately control the cat. The game has a novel concept though and even some humor, which was a welcome plus!
Movement was very clunky. Otherwise good job
Cute game, really liked the art style. The room with the moving platforms gave me the most trouble, since they lacked any friction.
That was freaking awesome. Everything is so cool!
Enjoyable game. Found the controls a little sloppy, as others have mentioned. Game about cats is always a win, good job.
Great concept, also i love the music so funky!
Game looks great!
Movement controls are a bit too unresponsive, especially when moving over the void with the moving platforms.
Very nice ! I wan't to come back to save my kitty comrade :'( (the paw cursor is very cute)
Nice game. The vacuum cleaners where the best!
Interesting concept. Cool 3d platform game with relaxing music.
I love it. The music is awesome, and the purring when you take a healing cat nap is a great touch. It's very well polished for a jam game. The parts where you have to get over gaps is a bit annoying, especially because the controls were a bit sticky for me. At times, the cat would keep moving after letting go of the button.
Very nice game, I had a lot of fun playing it :3
Nice
The laser was super satisfying to use but I found the cool down annoyingly long. I just wanted to use if more often!
The controls were a little wonky but I was starting to enjoy it by the end.
Good music, cool effects, solid game.
Cute game! Love the chill jazz theme with the meows!
Great work on your game. Nice music, nice cinematography. Fun little platformer. Great job and thanks for sharing!
An interesting idea) At the very beginning, for a long time I could not notice the lower door, but this did not spoil the impression))
Amazing game! Love the art style and the chill music! Great job!
Nice game! Love the fact that vacuum cleaners beeing enemies of cats, its like real life.
The scale of the game is impressive for a game jam ! Various skills, level types, ennemies, sountracks, and even bosses... What is there not to love ?
Plus : - Polished aesthetics (graphics, sound... and that visual intro was great !) - Varied situations - Enough lives to make it possible to see much of the game in a few runs
Possible improvements : - Maybe shorter cooldowns, and reset them after death (to allow for an immediate retry on platform levels, for example)
Excellent work !
omg the cursor is so cute, and The opening screen is good too.
I love the cat-chy music! and the glowy effects, really pretty. the cooldown on the laser is way too long I think.
very nice work on the level, both the visuals and gameplay, I agree with others here you managed to get a lot in here and do it well. the in-game messages are really funny I love all the cat-pun material, 9 lives, vacuum enemies, knocking down bottles etc..
It was really fun to play and fight the bosses, good job!
I counted about 9 people involved in making this game! And it shows! It's very good! From the cute graphics, to the humor and the relatively large amount of game packed into a short jam game! Plus the sound track is awesome! I found that I could use a game pad for some things, but not all controls. And that's my only complaint. Well done!
Cute game! 5/5 for Mood.
What a good game! Congratulations for that! I would be very happy if you also rated my game too! Thanks!
Amazing and adorable!!
Cool! I liked the music! I didn't know how to attack, though. And the timer read "59:59:999" (that may or may not be a bug :joy_cat:)
All the best~
I kept on dashing myself into the void because I thought I could turn mid-dash and it wasn't working, that was fun. I like that the cat had 9 lives. The idea is fun as well, it's always great to help animals escape cruel humans! And it fit the theme with the additional skills. Perhaps an option to skip the intro animation would be nice (though it is great and I enjoyed it during the first play).
fun and adorable game!
This game was a real hoot. Nice job! The Roombas were a nice addition and it was really funny! The cut scene at the beginning was great, and the Roomba-following camera after the end was a nice touch. The sound effects and graphics suit the style of the game nicely. Music was also well done. My only suggestion would be to improve the movement of the cat a little---I dropped into the abyss more than once since the cat moved very quickly.
fun! I kept bugging out in the dash platform section though and lost way too many lives. controls felt a bit finicky. overall was fun though!
Cool little game. Felt a bit short though, by the end I thought I had just finished some sort of tutorial. But yeah 72 hours, can't blame you.
Cool game. It was a bit short and a little bit easy but I enjoyed it. My only feedback would be on the cats movement, when you leave one of the WASD buttons the cat keeps moving for half a second or so which made me feel I wasn't in full control. Also, when you right click is the cat supposed to dash forward? Sometimes it did and sometimes it didn't.
8 ppl and only one programmer... poor guy ahah. Joke aside a really good gamejam entry, maybe with the most content and the most polished I've saw. The controls are a bit messy but it's often the case in a jam. And there is a mutant cat involved it's a big plus. Well done!
nICE :smile_cat:
Omg! This game is wonderful.
This is quite a paw-lished game, good work !
This game is amazing. You deserve to win LD45
Its rare to see credits and cinematic intro in a Ludum Dare game :) I like the concept.
amazing game, cute kitty^^ nothing negativ to say about^^
It's a fun top down slasher, wish it could've been longer! I did have some issues with the moving platforms sections, sometimes I would get stuck by the side and can't do anything except die to restart. Otherwise, good entry!
Super stylish and fun game! The animated intro screen and intro alone sold the game for me :) And the music, oh, it's so incredibly good! It's actually a bit sad that battles are over so quickly because the fighting theme is out of this world (fighting the turrets in the room with the moving platforms took me the longest)!
The moving platforms were difficult to manage because they don't carry you with them. I actually avoided them by dashing over the gap between entrance and exit - did you know, this is possible? :D And in the battle I eventually ignored them and lasered the turrets from safe ground.
Apart from that: Super strong entry! Very well done :smiley_cat:
The game looks beautiful, but the gameplay could use some work. As stated by some other players, the cat's acceleration is too much. I also would have liked more feedback on hitting enemies and starting from the beginning after dying was tough. Also, having to move with the moving platforms is a little tedious. I also wish I could skip the intro on restarts. The abilities were pretty cool and a good assortment of different things you could do. I also got a bug where I died in one of the moving platform rooms and the kitty respawned but the mesh didn't seem to be visible, so it was just instant death.
Moving platforms are the worst! And now for the goods :) Cute little game, well-chosen music, funny environment. And cats! Thanks for those purrs. I just wish it be longer. Good job!
Moving platforms really are the worst. It threw me for a loop that I wasn't really moving with them but just sliding. Would also be great if the laser I shot actually went in the direction of the mouse, and not just what direction the cat was facing. Using the mouse seemed redundant if it wasn't to aim with, might as well have just mapped the abilities to keys and made it a keyboard only game. But, cats are cool, cats with lasers are cooler. Funky music! :cat:
Super! :D You really have a complete game with cutscenes, soundtrack and different variations of both weapons and enemies!
My favorite song is Roomba's revenge, it was great, reminded me of "Sonic The Hedgehog 2: Death Egg Zone".
I like the story and the message it sends. I wish I could release the other mutant cats! :crying_cat_face:
By the way, I got a game breaking bug on this level (with the mice). I was dashing to the right side of the screen and got stuck somewhere outside, then I lost lives until it was game over.
Here:

Anyways, nice work, a real effort and a huge game to be on a game jam. :)
Nice little dungeon crawler! Well done designing the levels incrementally based on the ability pick-ups!
nice soundtrack.
Sound is great!and the cat is cute. Little hard to avoid the attack from the enemy
Controls felt clunky. Game overall fun though.
Love the title and love the title screen - really cool! I found it too hard to control my paws on moving platforms and dashing over gaps, died too many times (maybe iv'e been lapping up too much of the pink stuff) but the concept is great and very cute, cool music too. I hope you polish the controls/movement speed a bit.
I really liked the art style and the audio of the game! In fact, art and audio are the best features of this game. I kept playing it until I got stuck in the room where there are 2 shooting turrets and a bunch of moving platforms. It was a dead-end; no paths to go to any other area (and the path from where I came from, is blocked by a door). Player-enemy interaction can improve a lot. The controls could be much better. Overall, a very solid and superb entry!
I had a bit of trouble with the controls particularly during the moving floor tiles section. The player will continue for a bit after pressing a direction which would sometimes cause me to fall. The roomba was a cute addition for an enemy! I'm not sure but the attacks didn't feel as satisfying as I would have liked. But overall good job for working together and completing a full playable game!
Well that was adorable. Good graphics, solid music. I feel like when dashing over gaps sometimes it just wouldn't work right and I would fall. Also the moving platforms were a bit weird when they overlapped.
The intro is a bit long, and there is no option to skip. The game was pretty fun though - the dashing felt right and snappy, though the normal controls were problematic. The fight agains turrets on moving platforms was disorienting and challenging. I'd say more challanging than the final boss - which although had plenty of nifty attacks, didn't really feel satisfying due to it's stillness. The mice were a very cool thing to put at the end too!
Well executed game! The soundtrack(s) are amazing, the pacing is nice, and there are some nice little touches that add a lot of polish (eg pressing enter to skip the intro, litter boxes, and the humorous little asides like "They deserved that!"). I definitely echo what has already been said with the controls -- they don't allow for a lot of precision, so it often feels like the kitty is walking on an ice rink. The 9 lives were definitely all necessary, but overall a fun little game! Plus the title is a pun so I automatically love it :smiley_cat:
Great game! Feels like a lot of work since it was fully in 3D. It was short but all the content was fun. Would be nice to see it fleshed out in a longer game!
Nice story progression, and smart level design. Graphics, bgm and sfx are all well done and fitting the mood of the game. Great game overall, good job!
I love playing as a cat! This is unique and the style is nice. Great job!
Controls seemed to be grid-based. Turned me off. At least in the browser-version. Otherwise seems like something that could be fun for a while. Interesting idea.
Unfortunately, even if the score is super good, music seems to launch at random. Many times I had a boss that I fought without sound and just when I am about to kill him the music comes in... No title screen music either...
Gameplay wise it was fun, moving plateforms were a bit clumsy at times especially when they were many. The controls felt bizarre but worked somehow. I believe, however, that the coolddown for the dash was too long (especially on some rooms where we had to wait for it).
Because there was no sound nor visual indicator, knowing when we hit the ennemies was difficult.
But great game overall :)
Really nice work :) You never go wrong with cats :D
What a nice cat.
Cat kills roombas: ok, car kills Panzerturret: oooookay. I loved the music btw
Good gameplay loop, there’s a lot of polishing needed but everything works and I managed to reach the end and even try a few ironcat runs (failing miserably, of course). The major problem for me was the lack of recognisable feedback when enemies were hit, particularly sound feedback, but also something like explosions or particles. The theme, graphics and environments are really cute but the rooms felt a bit empty. Maybe scaling the cat and the enemies (without necessarily scaling their hit boxes) would reduce that impression while retaining the exact same gameplay.
A very nice project overall. Meow.
I like games about cats! Amazing!
Thanks for the game! I had a lot of fun playing it!
Great game! I think with some polishment you'll have a perfect game. Let's start The movement: sometimes i let the key up and he continuos walking a while Increase the gravity, so he can fall faster in the holes You can kind of stick on the walls, use a Physics Material to avoid it.
Graphics: Add some more particles to the broken objects
Enemy: A knockback would be nice, to know when you hit it
:)
Meow. Meow meow meow. Meow! MEOW!!!
It's quite nice! Impressed at the amount of work you got into this game :)
Nice job! Congrats for the dev team. I really enjoyed the graphics (:
Very amusing! You managed to put a lot of content in such a short amount of time. Well done! The controls were a little clunky, and the music panning left to right so quickly bothered me a bit on headphones but was fine on speakers. Gameplay was fun though - good job!
Overall great game! The Iconcat mode is awesome!
This an incredible game for a game jam! The only thing I would change is adding some camera shake on attacks. The user likes to feel powerful. Some post processing and bloom would make everything pop aswell
Pretty good game with great graphics and gameplay and so much content. Well done!
cats vs robot!it happens everyday after i go to work in my home i think.hahaha
Really nice and polished game! I quite liked the music and the little messeges that pop up every now and then. I also found it kind of funny how the cat goes all over the place when you spam the right mouse button attack. Good job!
I enjoyed the music and the premise. Controls are not great, but due to the generous amount of health they didn't pose a big problem in getting through the game. I do wish I could have jumped (just for jumping sake :)) but the amount of abilities you added was great, and dashing is fun.
Haha a very good simulation of what a cat would do if it had superpowers. I really enjoyed the style and the little popup phrases before fights. I will say that it was a bit hard to tell what things did just by looking at them (ie. the electrified pads and the cat bed). I also had issues with platforms moving without moving the cat as well, especially in the fight vs the two turrets where it seemed like the game wasn't sure which platform I was supposed to be on after they overlapped. Overall though I really like the humour here. Good work!
I will be honest. I really liked the cats abilities, design of the levels, relaxing music and sounds and most importantly I had fun, the humour is present and the fact that there is a little story to it is nice, I see you put your time into different enemies and bosses and the game is quite large compared to others! But I didnt see the polish everyone is talking about, dont get me wrong - the game is good, but if we talk about polishing, some abilities like laser are difficult to use (especially on moving enemies) or the game doesnt teach me how to use them, the product lacks game feel and response to player actions, again it does its job but it isnt polished, there were glitches with platforms + controlling the cat was difficult at times.
I only say these as a response to some comments that say the game is polished - its honestly not, but thats the case for most LD games and there is no problem here.
Apart from that I enjoyed my time
This game was great. I really like the mood of the game and the music is cool. I thought it was fun and I'm impressed with the amount of content you got in there. I initially struggled a bit with the direction of the dashing, but everything felt smooth to me overall. Great work!
