Challenging puzzler. It got a lot easier once I actually read the text and learned you could switch between the two chars at command.

Amazing work, especially for the compo. A lot of content, and very polished. Best game I've played so far, and by a fellow Godot user <3
Nice graphics! It was unclear what exactly the item drops do though. Eventually I learned the boots increase your movement speed, and the pots increase your regen. But the spell symbols I couldn't figure out. It's always a two-shot.
Cute artwork, and a nice concept. I couldn't figure out how to conquer Vrederus though. No matter which formation I used, I kept losing. It's worth checking out the second link for the audio. Funny SFX! The BGM sounds good too, but I only heard the first few seconds of it, because it resets the loop on every transition.
Cool little game. Felt a bit short though, by the end I thought I had just finished some sort of tutorial. But yeah 72 hours, can't blame you.
Great concept! Got carried by the AI though, won on my first game while I suck at chess :D
Couldn't finish the tutorial. No guards at the end. But I think you did a good job for the comp, especially the graphics. One point of improvement would be the control scheme. I don't think you need this many buttons, could combine a few actions depending on what you're standing on/near.
@darylsteak I played the browser version. I don't remember specifically what I did in the tutorial, sorry. Wish I could be of more help!
Nice game, Queen is OP though! Nerf Queen
An enjoyable 37 seconds! Good effort for the compo.
E resetting you back to the save point once you run out of fireflies is very annoying. Is this intentional? The artwork is nice, and the BGM was great.
I liked it! The gravity is a bit too much, and there were some minor weird things (like a certain save point being in mid air, causing you to drop down a little every time you respawn). Bonus points for being a fellow Godot user <3
Thanks for the feedback everyone! We've slightly modified the camera starting position and the tooltip teaching the player about using right mouse button. Hopefully these changes make it more clear what the player can do at the start.
Thanks for the comments, much love. Iβm not sure if balance changes right now would be in line with the rules of the jam, but weβre very aware many aspects are imbalanced.
@redimension-games You can sell items by clicking on the sell button on their tooltip. Not the most intuitive place I suppose, haha!
@belug23 holy shit, that must have taken a while! I plotted that steep exp curve haha.
@amerigo-gazaway weβre keeping you to your word on that one π
@cirno Hah, glad you noticed the bosses being different from each other. All enemies actually have different strengths in their stats, but it's usually hard to tell due to how fast things die. We had more plans for the combat system than we had time for.
@notapixelstudio Hold right mouse button and drag
Was nice and a little challenging! I forgot to read the gravestones sadly. Wish there was more content. Audio and graphics were top notch too.
Thanks for the praise everyone!
@m7rk: You have some level of control on how to throw the telebomb. It depends on which directions you are holding while you lob it. I guess this is more obvious while you play on a gamepad. If you hold left+up you can easily throw it through the 2 lasers :)
And yes, that drop with 2 lasers on either side gets me a lot too!
The download link "Microsoft Windows" points to a Linux Build only. Mistake?
That was great! Game felt very polished. Cute graphics and a nice BGM vibe. Took me a while to figure out you could just use the boat, but beat it on my first go nonetheless.
Thanks for the lovely feedback, everyone. Glad you're enjoying our game.
Due to time constraints we had to cut our plans for audio. Although we didn't have a sound savvy person in the team anyway.
@bougiebirdie there is actually a recolored and stronger Skeleton Mage, but it appears pretty late in the game. I suspect you killed the boss before you got to that point ;)
@mrpouletbzh indeed, more visual or auditory feedback was something on our list. We had to scrap it to make the deadline, sadly.
@guilloteam the fight versus the boss is the inevitable, not the victory/death π You can postpone the fight as long as you want, but eventually he will catch up to you.
@daniel-mak yes, that is by design. We want the player to run away and level up before facing the boss. We had some additional ideas to discourage the player from fighting the boss at the start which we had to cut.
Fun survival game. Love the sprite work and the audio. My only gripe is that the game got laggy at some point due to too many Karens onscreen (I'm guessing that's the reason :p)
Nice work, especially for one person. Cute sprites, and I can appreciate the effort that went into the background as well. I wish the runs lasted a bit longer though, I usually feel like I'm doing pretty well but just get no batteries to spawn.
Simple concept. You polished what you were going for instead of adding half finished features. Took a few attempts to figure out how to get it far. The artwork stood out the most for me!
Great effort! Good pacing, I wish there were more levels. But very impressive for 1 person in 48 hrs.
