Very nice game, quite addictive! Two smalls quality of life remarks: it took me a bit too long to understand that walking into water would turn my character into a boat,and a bar for HP would be easier to read than numbers :) Kudos

I've been playing this for about an hour now. This is so damn addicting (although 1/5 innovation, as it's practically a carbon copy of Vampire Survivors, but who cares :laughing:).

I still haven't found the fourth magic power (got wind, ice and life steal). The tornados are broken, I think, because if you have enough of those almost no enemy will appear on the screen and XP just flies to you from everywhere:

PS: meteors are cool, my game has one, too. But yours is so much more fun :wink:

Very satisfying game to play, and with a well made art direction. The altars add a good motivation de keep exploring, and the visual effects are pleasant, especially once you arrive in late game! Sadly my second run crashed a few moments before the final fight with the metorite, but despite that excellent work from your team!

That was very fun, the mix of vampire survivor with exploration mechanics works well, and the feeling of progression is great. Trying different build is fun. I encountered a crash on my third game with the fist maxed out and the lifeSteal power (memory out of bound). It took me some time to understand I could walk in water at first so my first game was a bit slower. I think displaying the health of the meteorite at the end could be good too to understand how much you need to improve to beat it.

Really loving slaying the hordes of monsters, I loved how powerful you get and just knock it all down. It was fun to seek out everything.

It's an interesting mix between clicker and RPG! =D I was first confused on my first runs: there was a lot of rules to assimilate, I didn't remember why I had to destroy the cultists first, what were the altars, whats was my goal... It took me also a while to understand that I could travel on water and that trees were not an obstacle (although rocks are, and I kept forgetting it). Finally I wasn't sure if I was hitting the "final boss", and since it hasn't a life bar, I didn't know if I was close or not to beating it.

But on my third try, I was much more prepared, and was able to complete the game! Getting more and more powerful and defeating gigantic waves of enemies is really fun. The exploration aspect is also pretty cool, I was able to discover 3 magic powers! It could use a bit more landmarks, but the amount of sprites in the game is already impressive, as well as the variety of weapons and powers. You did a really amazing job!

Interesting addition to the vampire survivor genre, although the meteor time limit didn't support the "scaling out of control"-type gameplay. Also great visual art.

(Je commente en french parce que flemme et que je sais que vous l'êtes aussi) Vraiment très bon jeu! J'aurai envie de jouer à une version plus longue! Les améliorations sont biens dosées pour qu'on ait un sentiment grisant de progression sans pour autant déséquilibrer le jeu. Vous vous êtes probablement inspirés de Vampire survivor pour le gameplay mais vous le rendez encore meilleur avec la possibilité d'explorer ce petit monde. J'adore la musique, particulièrement celle qui se lance quand l'astéroïde est proche. C'est du beau boulot pour une gamejam, chapeau à vous! =)

This was fun to play, and I loved the music! It took a little while to understand some of the elements, but once I did I really enjoyed the upgrade system and the exploration to look for the altars.

That's a great game all around! I enjoyed every bit of it: the story, the visuals, the animation, very well thought-through ability progression, music... just... wow, congrats! I'm looking forward for the extended version, haha

I don't have really much things to critique. One thing that comes to mind is that it wasn't really clear that the game can be finished and I almost gave up, but then finally made it to the good ending in the final run. Oh and it also took me a while to realise that I'm the boat and don't need to look for it.

Apart from that a really solid experience from start to end, well done!

Glad you liked it ! About the boat, we were actually supposed to get it when we kill the first cultist camp, but we didn't had time to implement that ! haha So we've made it accessible right from the beginning !. But yea no notice so it might be a bit confusing. :sweat_smile:

*(tested on [stream](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1450111897) yesterday)* An impressive game in terms of content with a rather big map, quite a lot of upgrades/weapons, enemies, the altars, spots with greater enemies, etc... The graphics are nice with a consistent art style and a lot of assets produced there, the music and sfx all work well and the music change upon the meteor coming closer adds a lot of tension near the end. The end cinematic was nice too. The game feel is good too.

It's really a great game overall, so most of the 'bad' things I'll point out will be nitpicking and things that are more if you want to continue the game after the jam.

First thing was that it might not have been clear enough in game that you are limited to 3 weapons & accessories and that info could have maybe been conveyed on the level up screen. Second is that I felt it lacked some kind of really dangerous enemies with a different behaviour, some kind of miniboss. I think the fanatics could have been used as that, as they are supposed to be the main enemy from the story, rather than being weak enemies that get one shotted.

Loved the unique attack mechanic and upgrade variety. The art and music were very good too! I got distinct Vampire Survivors vibes from this game. Really well made entry that I'd love to see expanded! Constructive feedback: it was not clear to me at first that I could enter the water and turn into a boat.

Super fun game! Very reminiscent of Vampire Survivors which is a great game! Enjoyed it quite a lot, slaying tons of monsters and getting a ton of experience is just very satisfying. You guys also really nailed the old school rpg aesthetic with the music and graphics, very cool :). Good job making the game!

Very pleasant game ! On my second attempt, one of the cultits spawn was very far away, so I spent almost the whole game trying to get to it. The meteor arrived soon before I could reach the third cultits spot. Fortunately I had level up enough on the road.

My third attempt was much more enjoyable, since I could defeat all cultits quite early and could spend a lot more time leveling up / exploring :) Boy does it feel great once weapons are maxed out, nice feedbacks !

Also like others, it took me some time to understand I could go into water

Super polished and impressive graphics. I like the upgrade system, and the free movement with the boat is refreshing (though I didn't know I could do it at first). Something about the weapon system feels a bit off. I like the idea of not having to have the player click a bunch, but it feels a bit too hard to control. Maybe there's something there that could be tweaked to give the best of both worlds. Really neat idea and I think if you polished this a bit more it could be something amazing!

I had an awesome time here! Yes, it's vampire survivors, BUT it adds a really interesting goal! I found the cultists were not necessary, you're obligated to just go kill them as fast as possible anyways so there's no point in having them really. It is a good way for you to see how big the map is though, you could probably replace the cultists with a 'boss' that gives tonnes of xp but is hard to kill, so players would decide to go to them when they are ready.

I think tornado + fist is a bit strong, nothing could get anywhere close to me.

Although it bothered me a little how close this was to its source material it is in general a fun game. The extra goals do ad interesting twist.

That was great! Game felt very polished. Cute graphics and a nice BGM vibe. Took me a while to figure out you could just use the boat, but beat it on my first go nonetheless.
