I loved the art style, and the actual art, but I don't know what I was supposed to do. Expand on this idea give the player more feedback and I really want to try this game again.

There's a lot of cool concepts happening here! I like the turn-based/clicker/tactical map format, though I wish I felt a little more involved as a player and level progression was a little smoother and clearer. With more development though, I could see myself really getting into something like this!

This game is nice, the art and the world are really cool and the idea is really charming. Starting off from a humble beginning felt great. There's some issues with pacing in my opinion, after completing bandit camp the game gets a bit slower. I felt like it would probably take an hour to reach the shrine guardian and there's not many things that are extra engaging that are keeping me there. For example, sound effects and music would make a world of difference and made the experience even more fun and will have also given more mood to the game and kept me more immersed. Perhaps some more interactive elements with the combat would have helped as well, so that there's more input from the user than just healing the characters. Well done with this entry

Fighting is a simplistic, however you have great art. Well done on fitting a lot of content into the game. Including saving? I wouldn't really worry about that in a ldjam game. Good game.

Very solid entry, and really good job done given the timeframe you had to finish this in. Was missing some sounds or at least background soundtrack, it might give it even better vibe. Love the ART! Really great job!

Great drawings! However, first I hated this game. Took me, like, 10 min to figure out how to play. You guys simply need to mark the places that are clickable, simple solution. Anyways, here I am, 30 min after, asking myself: "Man, if you hate this game, why are you playing it for half an hour already?". Well done hehehe.

Congratulations on making a game!

It is quite a good one, yet too large grind (especially when you get to bosses - they are straight impossible without having the game play itself for hours).

I assume a lot of players didn't pay attention that right click moves around the map.

Keep up the good work.

Nice game! I really enjoyed fighting with my cat and exploring around, illustrations are great and it's a big world! It would've been great to know that I could move around the map, thought I had to beat the impossible to defeat trolls at the beggining so spend lots of my time fighting in the tavern, maybe the easier places to explore could be closer and visible so they guide you and show you that there's more aroudn. Missed music and sound effects a lot :(

Loved the concept. The art is great. I didn't run into any bugs though it did take me a little bit to understand that I was supposed to do. After that, smooth sailing.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! We've slightly modified the camera starting position and the tooltip teaching the player about using right mouse button. Hopefully these changes make it more clear what the player can do at the start.

I found this via Reddit but will comment/rate here. I'm been playing this for about an hour (mostly idle), so I'm adding notes here as I go. - The start isn't very intuitive. It could use some more explanation (but not a forced tutorial, please). Maybe hide a few UI elements until they're needed too. - Selling is a bit annoying with every sell action being 2 clicks; right-click to sell, or a "sell mode" toggle would be a good addition. - It wasn't clear to me that you had to drag items to the bottom of the screen to assign items to characters. Better to have the slots right below the inventory. - Nice mix of items to collect and the items increased in stats at an enjoyable rate. - I like that each new area is gated behind an initial fight. - The map is really good, it gives variety to the gameplay and some smaller goals to achieve within the game. The panning feels a bit awkward at the moment because the map is only just big enough to need panning around; if it's made bigger this won't be an issue. Allowing the player to pan a little past the map edge might make it feel better too. - The fights move too fast to make potions much use. Maybe a skill (that can be earned) to auto-use a potion would be better. The exception was the dragon/vampire fights, where potions almost felt overpowered. - Single item "quests" like the red crystal fragment are really cool. I also found the blue fragment, are there any more that I missed? - Graphics are great. No sound but it's an idle game so that's fine. - I didn't spend much time doing any of the jobs (field work, mining). They weren't as fun as the fighting and you only got gold, which you got from fighting anyway. I like the idea of different areas offering different activities, maybe if they just gave different resources they would be more engaging. - I've reached ascension. I'd happily keep playing if there was more to do! - Hopefully you continue working on this after the jam. Prestige would be good, especially if there are some really difficult areas to tackle that you need to power up to take on. - I don't know how a cat can wear armour and wield a claymore but I don't care! If you do expand on the game, adding some more story would be cool too. - Levelling up is quite quick, which is ideal for Ludum Dare. It could be slowed down a bit if the game was continued. Overall the pacing is good for a game made in 72 hours, I know idle games usually take a while to balance. However, I say that as someone who likes/plays idle games; the pacing will put some people off (as other comments have shown). - I'm not sure if there is any difference between the characters. I switched my warrior to a wizard but didn't notice any difference, so if there is then maybe put some details on the recruit screen. I did like that reaching new areas opened up new characters!

Now that I've finished it, I've gone back and increased my rating. I really liked this, great work!

Not everything is great about this game, (mentioned above), but its a great game :) Played it for a while. There is something bout this that just makes you want to progress a little bit forther. Well done.

The game hooked me. I'll come back eventually to finish it. Also i cant figure out how to clear my inventory(sell) visited the town shop but can't find anything. Loved the art and gameplay is quite interesting. Well done.

@redimension-games You can sell items by clicking on the sell button on their tooltip. Not the most intuitive place I suppose, haha!

a really nice and addictive game. too bad some art is pixel art and other is regular art though, ruins the mood a lot. still had a lot of fun though!

Excellent fantasy themed game! The graphics especially the map wow, simply wow!!!! Simple but effective gameplay. Excellent UI. And kicking monsters butt!! Maybe the diffuculty/level up requirements were a little high. Only for the LD entry - so people can actually finish it :smile:

Really great idle game! Some equipment do not appear strictly in level order, but this added much fun to the game. Obtaining a new equipment with high level helps a lot. I noticed the ability of level 90+ bosses are also different with each other, which is another fun part for me. The vampire seems to be more aggressive and the knight is tougher to deal with. Nice work!

@cirno Hah, glad you noticed the bosses being different from each other. All enemies actually have different strengths in their stats, but it's usually hard to tell due to how fast things die. We had more plans for the combat system than we had time for.

I really love the world map art! I wish the game made me feel a bit more feedback though, thats very important for a clicker game like this.

A guy and a cat walk into a bar. The bartender asks "What'll it be?" There's silence, then they spend the next 30 minutes beating the sh** out of everyone.

Very satisfying. Gonna keep grinding this out as the night progresses.
