I love the art! Some kind of information about the stats of chickens vs peasants vs knights would have been appreciated. As it was it felt like I didn't have the information required to make intelligent or impactful decisions, soI felt like I was mostly just trying different combinations in different towns until I won one of them. The music was nice, but it restarting whenever you entered a new screen meant I had to sit and wait in order to hear anything other than the opening piano bit.
Cute artwork, and a nice concept. I couldn't figure out how to conquer Vrederus though. No matter which formation I used, I kept losing. It's worth checking out the second link for the audio. Funny SFX! The BGM sounds good too, but I only heard the first few seconds of it, because it resets the loop on every transition.
Really nice graphics and concept for the game, I had some problems viewing when my characters were dying and their health bar cause they were all cramped together and overlaping. I think the idea of a crowd fight actually would be like that but as a player, to actually know who I'm fighting against with each character and how much damage I give and take would be nice. no need to add hit values on screen since the HP bars show this already, but a different color to zombies and living things would be a nice touch. I couldn't go past a certain point of the game, but blame myself for having no strategies, but also the feeling of having no information hit me a lot. I had no idea of what I was doing, and just trying to send different minions over and over to conquer villages. I see that the sprites used for the dead and alive characters are almost the same and was that overlaping thing that got me, I actually never saw a full bodied zombie peasant cause there was a villager exactly where he was.
with some polishing I could see myself playing this again.
Also the necromancer magic used to send units being limited was a nice thing to not let the player get OP, kudos for that too! Nice work
I think the orientation may be messed up on Chrome? my zombie chickens are placed in the same way as the normal chickens
It was a really fun game! I couldn't get past Vredus, but otherwise it was a cool concept
Nice artwork. A simple yet fun mechanic. I also could not get past Vrederus. Got down to a single enemy chicken once, but at this point it is just retrying over and over hoping it may work this time. Not much strategy involved due to lack of content from the time constraint. With more stuff this could be great. All the characters on in a pile in the centre makes it hard to tell what is happening. Some stats would have been nice. The game pausing when losing focus was unfortunate, means I cant listen to the music running the other version in another tab, or do something else while waiting for the battle to finish for the 100th time.
I like the art and music! I tried both possible combinations multiple times and also could not get past Vredus. You should definitely make your units face the opposite direction as the enemies, and place them on opposite sides of the screen. You could then also add turn based combat elements in to make it the combat more engaging.
attack!
I like the artwork and the idea here. Everyone is huddled together during the skirmishes and it's hard to see the action and what is actually happening, I only really know the tide of the battle when it's over. I couldn't get past 3 locations taken over, those peasants are really strong!!
The fact we were limited to only 3 characters seemed to make any enemy with more than 3 characters impossible to defeat. I enjoyed the audio and sound effects in the audio version. The combat would have worked a lot better if it was clearer what was going on by having all the characters not on top of each other. Besides these small issues I really liked the art and gaining new units.
The art style here is well done, and the game has potential, but it is mostly held back by a lack of feedback. Going into a battle just feels like a long cutscene, so I wish there was more you could actually do. Overall it's not bad, it's just missing enough content to make it more interesting.
