I like your game, can you evaluate mine, please?

nina 2018-04-23 23:03

I loved the gloomy mood of the game. However, the ending... I have no idea what happened? A light and boom, you're dead. Like wtf :P

bhavin 2018-04-23 23:26

I really liked the artwork of Game and the audio-effects were also great!!

ramza 2018-04-23 23:36

Well if you're goal was to make me feel like I was in a nightmare, you did a good job. It was very creepy. I liked the terminal part quite a bit.

oscartrevejo 2018-04-23 23:52

Nice work lads! We also did a very original too, ye mid check it out?

Well done!

q-ro 2018-04-24 08:45

Can't see anything, this game is way too dark i could barely go past the first "challenge" so i guess you could say the creepy atmosphere is there :P.

safsom2 2018-04-24 08:47

Great job with the game! I would love it if you checked out mine too https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/hexguess

stormburpee 2018-04-24 10:05

Game is pretty neat, the audio obviously needs a bit of work. The mood is really good though

nander 2018-04-24 10:22

Couldn't find the 'end-room'.

Also, I think this game suffers from 'spreading yourself thin'. The 3D-aspect does not add much to the puzzler and vice versa. For all intents and purposes, you made a really complex menu for a shitty platformer.

zeriver 2018-04-24 12:23

Very atmospheric game, you really nailed the horror and suspense feel. It feels like mix of Penumbra and Cube (movie) and from both taken the best parts. I found myself looking around constantly to not get jumped and really cautiously walking in every room. The tests were pretty interesting and also that was a pretty clever implementation of the theme. The controls felt a little off at times and that 'audio glitch' was somehow annoying but that is not such a big complaint. Graphics were pretty decent, definitely setting the right tone for the game. In overall pretty good game and excellent on the horror scale, well done!

nehvis 2018-04-24 12:29

@Zeriver I'm very pleased you liked it that much :)

and also @everyone else thank you for all your feedback!

zeriver 2018-04-24 12:44

BTW @Nehvis did the 'God question' was taken from Cube or was it coincidental?

urban-logic-games 2018-04-24 13:14

Very moody and unnerving! I like how you telegraphed some of the important locations with blood, though I wonder if you could have done that with light as well. The end was a little random, but it did make me jump. :)

draquise 2018-04-24 13:42

@Zeriver I actually have yet to see cube :) So if anything seems ripped off or something, that wasn´t my intention. Also my question was more about the human mind but about god. I guess it´s just a pov thing to devide these two tho...

riddhee-dutta 2018-04-24 14:31

Nice game man, Really nice. Feel free to drop a review at our game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/boomball

mironx 2018-04-24 14:56

I do not think these genres are incompatible aspecialy as an extra games to "test your hero". Also there is not enough mood in your sounds and graphics to get scared. Some levels of platformer are rather hard so if you are a lammer as me you play this levels for a long time and forget about atmosphere of the main part at all. Maybe you should add some influence to the hero from the main world.

ccglp 2018-04-24 15:05

Okey, I'm a coward, and had a really bad time playing your game. That's good! Your game is moody and I really didn't want to turn myself in the game. Really good work creating a terror atmosphere :)

corbak 2018-04-24 18:09

Nice scary atmosphere. You always think that something will jump in front of you and you go in the corridor step by step. Well I was scared ! And you did a great job on the atmosphere. Well done :)

selfsame 2018-04-24 22:27

Creepy and an interesting take on the theme. Ended up getting lost a lot in the hallways, would of been nice if there were more landmarks.

diego-escalante 2018-04-25 02:16

Nice work, you made me NOPE in the middle of the game and I closed it. Too spoopy for me. But that just means the mood and feel of the game was spot on. Well done!

saoi-games 2018-04-25 07:18

I’m not sure if you were able to see it, but I played your game on my stream at https://www.twitch.tv/saoigames tonight.

The atmosphere was very creepy, so I wasn't able to finish the game. I couldn't handle the on the edge feeling expecting something to pop out at the end and kill me.

The 2D experience on the computer felt a bit lacking. If you'd added a better sprite to replace the colored squares it could have added more to the game. I'm not sure if you were going for Stanley Parable meets Thomas was Alone + Five Nights at Freddy.

You did an excellent job with the sound and visual making the world very unsettling. If you added whispers it might be even more creepy, but as it stands the flickering lights and looping hallways with blood patterns that hint at a story we don't know yet really sell the environment.

Thanks for sharing your game.

nehvis 2018-04-25 14:16

@saoi-games I just saw your playthrough. Thank you for showing my game on stream and also thanks for your comprehensive feedback!

ghastlymicrowave 2018-04-26 01:11

frame drops are sad, but cool game! The atmosphere was good but it felt like you could have done more with the "tests".

smaganik 2018-04-26 22:34

This is really moody, well done.

spenn 2018-04-28 04:52

This was really cool. Great mood but the platforming was lacking challenge. Good work over all.

cristiano-m-garcia 2018-05-06 20:19

Good job! Cool game!

I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.

I hope you continue with the project.

This was great for a short project! I thought the weakest aspect was the story. I was very confused, it kinda seemed like you guys couldn't decide on a basic premise so you tried to use 2 or 3 at once. But it was a great mix of platforming/walking sim horror, and especially good for a weekend project, thanks for making it and keep it up! I also made you a Lumps Play with my trademark pop-up commentary:
