Just get a blue screen (game area not PC)!
Very good entry! It was a bit buggy at times and the damage mechanics are ruthless (i.e. it is hard to hit enemies without getting damaged). Also the health items were kind of underpowered. However I thought the look and feel of the game was great, the sound track fit the game very well. Also the intro while a bit lengthy was also very thorough and polished! One downside I noticed was that the map seems very big and there aren't really any pointers about where you should go (besides the dialogs, but they disappear after a while. maybe too quickly too). I got lost walking in circles easily. Maybe next time put some big arrows here and there for bad players like me :)
Bugs I noticed: Escape exits fullscreen before exiting the inventory. Why didn't you just use E to toggle the inventory? Sometimes I had a hard time clicking items in the bottom row, even though the mouse pointer was in the center it still didn't select the square. I didn't die at 0 health (not that that was a bad thing, it allowed me to explore the map some more). I was able to walk through walls at the bottom of the map (I think it was the bototm at least)
Just the amount of features implemented is really impressive! One thing I think the game would benefit from is some form of a dodge mechanic. I'm not sure how the game fits the theme, however.
A great little game, it could be the perfect platform for a longer story-driven adventure game!
@bobismijnnaam thanks for the super detailed review! I'll take all this on board - obviously towards the end I was rushing a little which brings in a few bugs sadly. Thank you for playing!
@LegionGames I had a lot of features that I wanted to implement! More scrolls etc, that could bring in dodging, rushing the enemies etc. Sadly just ran out of time - took a super long nap in the middle accidentally oops!
@good-enough Thanks for the review! I think it's something I'd definitely like to look at polishing and seeing if I could take it somewhere.
Freaking amazing! Excelent work, wanna check ours too??

I couldn't get the game to work (HTML5), just the blue screen and nothing followed after the loading sequence.
So after downloading it for windows it worked fine. There was a couple of bugs i went through the walls once and enemies could hit me even though i couldn't hit them. And dead enemies absorbed arrows when fired but the game was playable.
Few feedback notes, i would of liked to be able to close the inventory with E the same key to open it just a little change, and the text being displayed at the top of the screen i only read once because it vanished too fast and most of the time i did notice it popping up. Finally the combat mechanics could of been improved upon.
Overall though the game was fun, i played it till the end and enjoyed it. I loved all the different items and upgrades you could get and was a nice experience. Great job.
stunning pixel art! beautiful and atmospheric!
A nice climate of the game. Maybe there is something wrong with me, but I hoped hero will die at the end and go to Valhalla.
Sorry but i'm pretty sure i already seen these graphics somewhere, did you really made it yourself ?
I don't understand which genres did you combined ?
What could be improved :
* right to left tutorial is a little weired * avoid overlap with enemy * glitches with tiles (maybe pixel bleeding could help) * controls : espace inventory in fullscreen leave fullscreen
