Interesting idea. Is a little simplestic, but well done.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD56 → Plankton Rush Hour

Thanks for making this! I had fun playing it! It would be nice to see a timer or something to add some urgency. Perhaps a clock showing how late for work you are? Thanks again!
Cool game. Love the characters little hat and briefcase. I found it to be a bit repetitive, and I also don't think the stink pheromone was working at all? The collision sound effect was a bit jarring, especially when you get stuck in between obstacles. Made it to level 7 before the rush hour just got too intense haha

The stink and rage effects do technically work, but they rarely have much of an effect since once there are enough plankton they all get jammed together and can't move where they want. The abilities in general are a bit janky and tacked on since I rushed adding them in the last hour or two.
I had so much fun with this game. Great idea with hilarious characters - especially the hat and the briefcase! 😄 Adding a timer for a sense of urgency would be a great improvement. Overall, the game is fun and well thought out! 🚶♂️💼
Welcome to the rat race
A very nice game, I loved the idea, graphics and gameplay. I have some suggestions: - A menu with no graphics and just plain text looks a bit sad you know - The story feels a little bit disconnected to the gameplay. Maybe consider telling the story through the gampeplay sometimes, or maybe putting some writing closer to the gameplay (speech bubbles?) I mean I don't know what would work on this game, but you get the general idea. - Graphics are nice, I'm a big fan of that work place gate. But the overall graphics lack a bit of cohesion: menu doens't follow the same artstyle, and the general gameplay artstyle looks a bit different. - Make that background move to give the sensation of speed! (Maybe parallax would work if you're feeling fancy)
Again, game feels nice, these are just thoughts on some things you could improve, but already a great job!
I really found the little sea creatures quite charming, and the shrimp with a briefcase and hat is downright adorable. 😊
The segments with texts between levels seem quite disconnected from the gameplay, especially since there's nothing visual to accompany them. It actually took me a while to realize there was any text happening there because it just felt like something unrelated to the gameplay.
I Imagine the possibility of populating the sea with an endless variety of creatures! Different types of plankton, perhaps, and other marine life, which could certainly make navigating these waters quite fascinating.
I do love the art in this, and as with other people the characters are very charming & the hat is amazing.
Yuo guys have kiled it!
Super! Liked this idea and gameplay. Good Job, guys!
The crash sound is very annoying. I made it to level 11 but didn’t understand the difference between the levels—it just had more obstacles and, as a result, more annoying sounds. I also didn’t figure out how the second and third abilities work
The concept is nice and the art is cool. The sound effect of collision are a bit too much. I also feel like the game would benefit from having like 5-8 levels max. I'm on level 19 and I have a green unpassable wall in front of me, and there is nothing I can do about it (I tried for few minutes). Kind of a shame, because I really wanted to finish it. Push and pull mechanic are either too weak or don't work. Anyway, it was still fun to play it. Good job!

I don't think the pheromones actually work. Otherwise, I enjoyed this little Sisyphean story. The text could be better presented (perhaps as intro text at the beginning of each level in addition to the text box showing everything together at the start button screen), but it really illustrated why the levels were becoming more and more impassible. I think there could have been more environment (sand, rocks, etc...) for you to navigate around, but I guess that's the role the phytoplankton was filling. I liked it.
For some reason I really liked the concept of a shrimp creature rushing through crowds to get to work. The background seemed a bit off an only the 1 key seemed to do anything. It wasn't completely obvious that I could just barge through creatures (I thought I would loose points for some reason). But overall very unique idea.
Pretty interesting game. Nuzzling through the crowds was pretty amusing. If there's one thing I'd change, it'd be to add a cooldown on the "bump" sound effect, so it doesn't fire every frame.
