LD38 — A Small World

The Burrow by Stending 2017-05-17T02:03:11Z

Really good entry, solid gameplay, right mood and nailed the theme!

It was fun to play and see the little twists, the only thing I missed was a little bit of variation between the "levels". But you know, 72h is hard to do that. Congrats !

Overall great entry !! The art, and controls are really tight. I wish a had more control of the shots, but I understand the decision not to give player total control of it.

I don't see the theme very well in this game, but it's a a great achievement to have done it in a Game Jam. Congrats!

Good entry! I agree with some comments above, the foot should be a little more random and the sound should be a little more diverse, altering the pitch is a great alternative to do that.

Inside Inc. by OWC 2017-05-14T22:03:45Z

Great game !! The distortions on the screen makes the art and the theme pop. Great use of the screen shake and particles !

Overall great game and a great achievement to do this in a game Jam. Just a tip, before releasing the final build, change the name of the project in the Player tab in Unity, so the name of the project will be displayed on the WebGL player.

Congrats !

The art was great, the sound too ! And the sfx were really on point with the Humor! Great entry !

Time Loop by wellingtonbecker 2017-05-17T01:49:51Z

Good concept and well executed !! I like the idea that you're traped inside a "small world". Solid entry, keep it up !

Spike Spire by Acuity 2017-05-17T01:35:52Z

The music is really great, but I found the difficulty a bit to high for such a small game. And I don't really see the theme in this. But solid entry besides that !

Retro Rabbit by wtoa 2017-05-14T22:42:18Z

Great entry ! The game got my a bit dizzy after sometime, but that's on my end I guess. I think to improve it you could implement a simple UI to show the amount of time on the Munch mode.

Overall nice art, particles and music!

Island Guard by AnayK 2017-05-14T21:42:41Z

Simple and clean concept. The volume of the audio is a little bit too much, but this can be solved quickly. I agree with the reviews here, WASD or Arrow movement would be a great improvement, I would also point out that a crosshair or something that indicates where you're going to shoot besides the mouse pointer would be quite good.

Overall the concept is good, next time I would try to focus on bringing some music and art to the project !

The Underventure of Polin by manolo_rei 2017-05-18T23:19:05Z

Hi everyone, Polin's programmer here. First of all thank you so much for the feedback, it's really amazing to see such a great community come together.

We've talked and decided to fix/add some requested features to the game so we can have some closure on the project. So I've added **Checkpoints** and a **Mouse cursor** to the game. I hope this will improve the experience for all of you. All of this is available on the new itch.io page we've created !!

Enjoy and thx again !!

Small Worlds by Damien Remars 2017-05-14T21:50:44Z

The art is really cute, and with some work I see a potential to a great little game. The lights and reflections are well done.

I think you could improve by using some particles on the landing and jumping. I really missed some king of quick tutorial for the player to learn the controls, the jump is not quite there in game feel terms. But that's what a gameJam is all about.

One last thing, background music could do magic in this kind of chill games. Great job !

Great use of Voxel art !

I really enjoyed the concept. I Think the UI for the trains destination could be a little better, i found myself misscliking the flag sometimes. I think the music was a little bit repetitive, but that was not a problem.

Great entry !
