Very special idea, I hope you guys keep working on this :)
Nice take on the idea. The controls could use a little work, but it's a fun game with some nice art.
Simple and fun game! The sound effects were pretty funny.
Had some small troubles with clicking outside the frame.
Thaaanks! We will work on this for future builds :)
I really like the game mechanics and idea.
The art is very consistent. Excellent game :D!
Very nice! Good atmosphere, and the puzzle was entertaining as well. Impressive that it's made with your own tech :)
I like the art style and gameplay, ;)
I played a lot! It's very fun. I got a bit frustrated after deaths, it would be nice to have a powerup or a health bar so you don't die at the first contact with crabs for example. But overall it's great! just keep working on this game!
Super fun, very well done with the graphics!
I could see this becoming a cool puzzle game like the ones Zachtronics makes. Maybe rather that aiming for points you could have a target state of the terrain, so you pass a level by achieving that state, and score based on how many transitions/cycles you used to get there? Really nice clean visuals btw!
It took me a while to understand how to play it, but I did it. I like the graphics and colors :) Great job!
I really liked the mood and the music. The simple 1-bit art style suits the game very well too. The controls on the original build were a bit rough but are much improved now :) I wasn't really sure how I passed the vending machine code puzzle, I just kind of lucked out on it. The telescope puzzle was clearer, although I also think I lucked out on the last number since it wasn't very legible.
Overall I enjoyed it, and it's pretty nice for such a short time frame. Good work!
This is one of my favorite entries so far! I really enjoyed the mechanics, and the feeling of the controls. I had some trouble figuring out the checkpoints, and the lack of feedback on death was a bit jarring and confusing; same thing for the ending. Aside from that it's really awesome!
I survived until November 2064. I don't usually play this sort of thing but I really enjoyed the resource management here. I didn't figure out the stacking mechanic though. I only found out about it after reading some posts here :) Great job on the overall implementation!
Nice simple graphics and cool gameplay. I got a bit stuck when I dropped a crate off a bridge and I couldn't get it back up again, and it seemed like I needed it to push a button afterwards.
Some small nitpicks: -A simple transition between the dimensions when using the dreamcatcher (like a quick fade to black and back) would have been nice. -The E prompt for picking up the crate got flipped around when you grabbed it and turned around -The grass image was a little too stretched out, making it noticeably lower-res than the rest of the art.
Overall it was a really nice game. Great job!
I find this game very original! I just really enjoyed to play! I also liked the music, keep going with this great idea, Congratulations!
Nice take on the survival genre, and really amazing that this was made with scratch and in such a short time! :) The controls could be a bit clearer. I never figured out that I had to use the down key to eat the fruits. I only found out by reading your comments here :P
I liked the graphics, how they are combined with the world, very innovative :)
I loved the graphics! I enjoyed a lot playing it! congratulations!
Wow! It's really amazing that you made all this in 72 hours! All those models, textures and animations in such a short timeframe is really impressive. I had a bug where the player got stuck after the cutscene where you pull the first lever, but other than that everything worked perfectly. The combat is a little rough, as it's quite hard to hit the spiders without getting hit because it's hard to tell when they're attacking. The audio also felt a bit lacking, especially when the protagonist mentions loud noises and nothing plays. Other than that, I'm really impressed! Also, props for using Blender Game Engine :)
I enjoyed playing the game, the graphics are nice, and as others mentioned it's quite impressive that you made all this in 48 hours. However, as others have also mentioned, the game is quite hard. I did figure out what the different bars meant, but the fact that the mana doesn't recharge until you fill the xp bar is pretty punishing. Especially because you can only kill enemies with the melee attack which is really hard to connect without getting hit yourself. Maybe I just suck at this kind of game :P
Hello!
This is a very good game :) I like the graphics and music/sound a lot, I find it is a nice place to be. So all the hours you skipped from sleep and no life WORTH IT!. congrats.
Super nice game idea and concept, I liked the music, assets and user interface design! well done!
This was a really cool puzzle game for such a short time. The simple graphics work in its favor. The controls were simple and worked well, although some indication of what's clickable and what isn't would be a nice improvement if you intend to work on this further. Great job!
It's a really great game for your first release! The controls are intuitive and smooth with the small exception that firing an arrow didn't feel very responsive. The mechanics are interesting, with the self-inflicted difficulty of avoiding your previous misses. It would be cool to see this concept taken further :)
Cool game with a nice concept. I enjoyed the cute graphics and the puzzle mechanics were interesting. The transitions into/out of blocks are a bit jarring but the idea is communicated well enough. It could be a great starting point for a great puzzle game!
Congratulations for your game! keep up learning everyday :)
Good effort for your first LDJAM game :) The idea is pretty original. The controls worked well and the mechanics are quite clear. One thing that gets hard fairly quickly is how unpredictably the asteroid fragments will bounce. Perhaps if you could pull the fragments toward the moon somehow (like a simple gravitational pull) it would be a bit more manageable. Some visual indication of the planet's health would be nice too. Some basic sounds when things break, and when you get hit would be a huge improvement as well.
Good job!
The concept was really cool, and I really enjoyed the art and music. The controls were a bit complicated but overall it was really fun to play :) Great work! I look forward to playing more of your games!
Really nice art style, I liked the colors and light. Also it has a very nice gameplay, a good place to be, congrats!!!
Thank you guys!!! we are updating the entry with the instructions! I hope you can play it again :D
Thank you very much for playing our game and for your feedback! We agree with many of your comments. I think the problem with the camera controls may be framerate dependent, because it didn't seem to be running very smoothly on your machine and we definitely didn't have time to optimize it very well (the meshes exported directly from Qubicle have ridiculously high polygon counts).
Thanks everyone for your feedback! We want to polish a lot of the stuff you've mentioned in a post-jam version. @philomory: Adding a real difficulty curve and improving the interaction with the worms is definitely among our priorities.
