There's an odd "jiggle" when the character moves while in the dungeon, but not in the overworld. It looks like the camera moves before the character in the dungeon, then the character catches up. I also wish there was more feedback when you attack an enemy, or take damage. But this is a really solid foundation for a fast paced rogue-ish kind of project.
my anti virus freaked out when i downloaded this game. it so far is the only game to do so as of yet. theres no virus from what i can tell but still weird.
I love the graphics! It gives me atari vibes

I liked the rougeish feel the game has, especially the fog of war and field of view implementations work well. Wasn't really clear what I can do with the food I collect, I tried to eat some but it didn't seem to increase my health or anything. Also this asset pack works great for this kind of games . Keep up good work!
The gameplay loop of dungeon crawling then going back to the town to buy upgrades is solid. However, the ability to go back to town and heal to full for free at any time kinda invalidates the healing items.

Fun concept! I like the way the character moves, and how you can interact with everything by walking. It stopped being challenging pretty quickly though, once I got some stat points and items. Would have been nice if the enemies got stronger the deeper you went.
Cool game!
Pretty cool base for a game! Feels a bit unfinished but what's here is kinda cool. I did notice that the larger maps seem to slow down performance a bit, so I imagine something about your line of sight implementation (or something else) is being relatively inefficient in terms of computation.
@ddrkirbyisq The line of sight code is indeed super inefficient, but I honestly thought it wouldn't be a problem on these maps, thank you for letting me know!
Addictive Gameplay. Just needs some music. The spider is OP but in a good way!
Simple but fun little game.
Even without upgrades, I didn't have much trouble except for with the spiders - and when you do get upgrades, the effects feel pretty minor, especially since the dungeon doesn't really get much harder as you go deeper. Having the difficulty ramp up as you go would definitely make me play longer.
The graphics are stylized well and look cute. Music wouldn't have hurt but I don't mind the lack of it all that much.
The simple graphics worked well with the game and liked the overworld design, made the game feel welcoming before you move on into the dungeons. The fog of war also worked well in revealing things as they came into your vision which added a nice exploration element to the movement.

I'm not really sure I understood the use of the items on the right, and since the drop rate felt low (it's possible to go through several levels without gaining anything) I wasn't sure if I was looking for something other than coin to upgrade and potion to heal. The base is here for some improvement though, maybe adding dodging, like enemies telegraphing their attacks can help give a bit more depth to the encounters :)
The main character was really cute and the game looked really good. I'm a little sad that there is no music, but the game was still fun without it. I couldn't find any penalty for exiting the dungeon and it replenishes your health, so there wasn't really any good reason to buy health items. But man, I still haven't come over how beautiful the game was.
Really solid entry, good work!

I love village (cute!) and fog of war (good programming skill). Gameplay is not very exciting. I believe the only problem is pointless. You just need to add some goals and better progression.
