Somebody was definitely inspired by Kurzgesagt! It looks amazing, and is quite brutal. Once your shields start to slip it can be quite the slippery slope...

This game's production value, music, UI, it's all great! I like the strategy that comes with placing shielding at different points along your ship in advance of different sized asteroids flying on screen.
If I could make one recc, allow users to switch shields via Dpad so they could switch to a lower level shield without cycling through all of them to get to it, and also for shields to remain in place once the stick is released so you don't change the position of shields when cycling through to a smaller one.

@kimkillaqueen external shields are larger but also more fare away from the ship thus they defend equally against asteroids, so you can use any shield to defend regardless of their size without worrying about shield level ;) See illustration below

Definitely an extremely well made entry! polished, beautiful, and tight. I have nothing negative to say about this, my only qualms are that: 1. it becomes somewhat hard to understand the information about the asteroids as their number increases, so it can be hard to know what to prioritise 2. pressing a single button to switch shields is a bit taxing, especially when there are 5 of them~
Though, both of these could be intentional design choices, and they don't detract from the game.
I was really impressed by graphics and the music contributes well to overall feel of the game. I found it a bit had to manage all the shields but I'm not very good at coordinating so many things at the same time. Very entertaining and once again, cheers for the visuals!

Oh man, @infinite ! I really am blown away by how such a similar concept can be super different in execution but still totally awesome. Love how polished this is, slick presentation, frontend with difficulty select, really nice UI features like the warnings of where the boulders will come from. Great sound design, too.
If I'd nitpick one thing, it's that I found it often a little confusing where my shield would go relative to my cursor position. I felt like I had to move my mouse further to the sides than was intuitive.
Still, though, super impressed.
Really good job. The graphics are excellent, and it's easy to understand what to do. I can't last more than 3 minutes (also in easy) but it's not bad, because I need to be fast and this makes it funnier. The only "problem" I noticed, is that it's hard to select shields using the mouse (maybe with keys it could be better?).

Space games are my jam, this is a great entry. The gamepad support is excellent. Looks great, solid game loop, perfectly scoped for a jam. The BGM is a banger, too.
Took me a while to realise you could move the additional shields with the mouse, haha. One you get the hang of it though, it has a nice rhythm to it :D

Very nice entry! the graphics are amazing, everything looked very polished, from the assets down to the fonts/UI! The music is very fitting! The controls felt very polished although really confusing at first. I thought it would make more sense if I could navigate to every point, but it kind of snapped to certain positions. which would be okay if this were a "theres only 4 options" kind of thing - like if the astrids could only hit you on top, left, right or bottom, but they did also hit specific locations, which was frutrating at first, I ended up acting as if the shield was a bat and moved it in such a matter that I kind of "smashed" the asteroids away as soon as they came close, which turned out to be fun, so maybe that's how you intended it in the first place? :) because if yes, I would mention this in a tutorial :) I thought it was great that you can control multiple shields, however I felt I couldn't switch between the shields with the B button? Apart from that I had fun playing it, very cool that you added controller support and 3 different difficulty modes :)

@icxon Oh nice playtest ! first time i see someone i don't know playing the game :) You did a nice 124 500 in Easy mode ! In fact its the official highscore now !
I think hardcore and medium are a bit to hard for beginners, i have personally more fun playing it in easy mode as the difficulty rises more smmoothly.
I noticed some "panic" movements when you feel you were losing you spinned the shields very fast around ! i did the same XD, it can be a good strategy when you have your 5 shields together ;)
I like the suggestion to select shields with a hotkey, it could add more control. yes its sometimes hard to click on the shield in mouse mode, and sometimes you move an other shield than expected. With gamepad there is a button to toggle between shields, but nothing to select a specific shield.
@fatpenguin you can play the game like you want, smashing the asteroids is one way, as spinning the shield around the ship very fast, it can work if you are lucky :D
With Gamepad you should be able to switch shields with B button and regroup all your shields with A.
