Great game with a cool idea and fun to play ! I didn't really get the purpose of the food expect **pushing all police officer into oblivion**, rendering the game a bit too easy and the necessity to buy disguise a bit pointless to win the game (except unicorns (so broken)).
Great concept! You made good use of the theme. I like the art (cool style/nice colors) and the disguise descriptions are funny. Also the music fits well for an amped up killing spree. I had fun with this one - great job!

Good game, Good music and amazing art quality!

@nomus Yeah, the point of the food was to help get police officers off of you but I guess it's a bit op. And yeah...I didn't really have a lot of time to balance the game. :/ Thanks for the feedback
aesthetically beautiful, good music, solid execution of the theme, even if I felt it's pretty damn dark. Haha.
Yeah, besides balancing, (which is always insanely difficult, especially during a game jam) it's an awesome game. The graphics are beautiful, the audio is amazing and game itself is pretty entertaining.
The graphics are extremely well done, and the soundtrack also gets you pumped up to kill people. The only complaint I have is that the character is painfully slow. If he was like, just a lil' bit faster, this game would be so much fun! Other than that, great jam entry!

Mildly morbid but I had a lot of fun playing it! A big part of the strategy I abused was just herding people into corners where they couldn't escape. One issue I had with the game was that I couldn't consistently find where the hitbox of the scythe was. There were times where I'd swing but the scythe would miss or deal only partial damage, especially when I had a person cornered in the very bottom left corner of the game.

Great entry! You did an impressive number of things very well in the space of the jam!
@jackson-makes-games I made the character a little bit slower so the player would have to use the dash/sprint thing more and to make the player want to buy the upgrade the the dash. Hard to strike a good balance though haha
@mediocremonty oh yeah I getcha, sorry to nitpick
@jackson-makes-games No, problem. I love the feedback!

You used the theme well and I like the concept.
The game looks and sounds amazing, though I got tired of the gameplay fairly quickly. Maybe the normal people should've had less health? Felt like killing them took forever. The player character may also be a little slow. For a jam game, though, this is great!
Hilarious, I loved it!
It feels like killing takes a bit too long and leaving the shop should use the ESCAPE key, not E. Not sure how to get health back either, might be worth considering as a shop upgrade. These did not affect my score of your game because proper gameplay balancing is not possible for a jam without blind luck. Good work!
Fun and beautifull game, like the other comments I felt that it took too long to kill people, maybe a weapon upgrade would be usefull.
Evaluation...
1 - Mechanics and Learning: There are a few ways to learn how to play this game, the screen with the instructions and playing. Through the screen it is possible to see the main commands, this helps a lot to understand the game after playing once (reading the whole screen at once and going to play the game may not retain the player studying the "manual"). Learning during the game (without consulting the manual) is a bit difficult (but not time consuming). However, the mechanics are simple, so this difficulty is not very relevant. I suppose if the manual is split into two parts, or if the manual moves around according to the button tests, it could be a good improvement.
2 - Flow: At first I was attacked by a police officer without having started beating other people, so I had to learn by force. The first policeman is the most challenging, then things are made easier. It became basic for the strategy to know the right time and attack and the right time to get away. In the game (it was explained in the text that preceded the game) it was not very clear (via visual feedback) the question of progressing, it may be a good saying, more clearly, that killing others is progress in the game.
3 - Narrative and Polishment: Beginning with artistic polishment: I liked music and graphic art a lot (there is always room for improvement, such as adding an instrument when confronted with a police officer, and the like); in jam time it was great. On the part of the narrative, I saw her more inside the publication, in the game she was not delivered very clearly (something that can be improved).
4 - Culture: It is a game focused on violence, this brings public, there are many people who love this kind of game. I believe that extending the game, putting more stages and motivations (choices, reactions, etc.) can greatly favor the consolidation of a community of players.
5 - Monetization: I believe I could sell the game (single sale), or put the game with a variation online, selling skins.
I enjoyed the game overall! The mechanics were solid and there were easy to understand instructions. I did not find myself utilizing disguises just the power ups. It cost souls to get disguises and I found the pay off was not decent(note: the only one I did not try was unicorn). I enjoyed the music and thought that was solid too for the atmosphere of the game. Did not encounter any glitches or bugs and had fun killing people.
Wow nice job! feels fully realized! I liked the pixel art characters a lot. As other comments have mentioned, it did feel like it takes too long to slash somebody to death with the scythe. I also didn't find much use for the disguises, instead found myself just running around slashing everybody and avoiding cops.

Fun game! Little tedious to kill individuals tho.
Remind me a lot of Infectionator :D The game was really fun. Could be better with more upgrade but was already fun as hell!
The graphics and music were both great. It immediately caught my attention while I was scrolling through the games. I did find it a bit on the easier side. Buying the disguises was a nice addition, but the cost was a bit too steep for them to only be temporary upgrades. The police were also a little to easy to evade with the throwing food. Was still pretty fun though.
