@davidus Thank you!

peterfonts 2019-05-15 16:24

Cool game! Keep making games!! :clap:

joni-jarvinen 2019-05-15 16:28

It's a good looking game for sure, and atmospheric. I felt like the starter enemies had a little too much health, though. Took a little too long to kill. Otherwise, a good jam game!

cristihkj 2019-05-15 16:51

@peterfonts Thanks for the support!

@joni-jarvinen Thanks for playing! Also, it's supposed to be hard so that's why the enemies have a lot of health.

paulo-brunassi 2019-05-15 21:39

Cool game.

asfdfdfd 2019-05-15 22:16

Cute art by could not get too far.

cristihkj 2019-05-16 12:14

@paulo-brunassi Thanks for playing!

@asfdfdfd Thanks as well! However this game is not going to get developed anymore but games similar to this one will come out!

mgsx 2019-05-16 17:32

The game is nice and has potential! Good job! ;-)

cristihkj 2019-05-16 19:04

@mgsx Thanks for playing! We really appreciate it!

Yes the game is hard. But i think it's not the good way to make it hard without making it bad. You have to make 10 hits to kill an enemy, between the hits you just wait to them to fire one projectile, and attack again. With that, the gameplay is poor, and become repetitive and not entertaining after 3 rooms. For the moving enemy, put a delay before they move, the camera didn't finished to move on the new room, and they already hit you. If the enemy have less life (like 4 hits), the game will be funnier because the player can goes in mores rooms, and not getting bored by hitting the same enemy again and again ... In other hand, the graphics are cool, with some balance, you can make a cool game with that start.

Tough, but satisfying once you figure out a strategy. The art is quite nice, and the audio, though limited, is very effective. My main criticism is that the charging enemies are right on you as soon as you enter the room, they definitely need to be paused until the player finishes entering. Good game overall.

I think enemies should do more damage and have less health to make game more enjoyable. Overall pretty good game, nice job!

gonutz 2019-05-20 11:30

I found this game got boring pretty quickly. The enemies take way too long to die and there is no variety in them. I only encoutnered red blobs and moving red blobs.

Moving red blobs started attacking me from outside my view when I switched rooms.

I did not get any power-ups whatsoever.

The graphics look good, nice pixel art. The background music is fine and the sound effects OK.

Overall a solid LD entry, next time you should try to create more fun mechanics, though. A lot can be improved to make the game more dynamic, up the action a little next time :-)

Awesome game , i really liked the art.

Evaluation...

1 - Mechanics and Learning: I quickly learned to use the character, but still the mechanics need to be polished.

2 - Flow: When I enter some stages I am already attacked (as far as I played I only saw two types of creature, which is somewhat reasonable for the jam time); unfortunately this generated difficulty to move forward.

3 - Narrative and Polishment: The narrative does not present itself clearly in the game, I think it is interesting to focus on this in case of continuity of the project. The artistic polishment can also be done, in post jam time, to give better graphic quality. The sound portion can be developed to generate greater immersion.

4 - Culture: With proper narrative you will be able to go after ways to attract players (creating page for the game on Facebook, for example).

5 - Monetization: I think if the game is pretty polished it can sell on smartphones or even in stores. There are very interesting points in the project that can have their potential explored (shakes etc).

@larnin @randomhuman @gonutz @anandhi @gustavo-christino Thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear you liked the art! I spent too much time on it and I just didn't have enough time! I am currently very busy, but once summer break comes, I will make more updates and try to polish the game! I would love if you would be game testers! If you're interested, we can talk in the game's comments on itch.io!

If you want to talk, here's my Discord: CristiHKJ#2695

@gustavo-christino Really glad to hear those ideas! I was thinking of making it for mobile but I just didn't have enough time! I will do it this summer!

@cristihkj...

If you want me to test your game, just flag me over here or leave a comment on the page of any of the games I made for the Ludum Dare, and I'll take a look. :)
