Its very cool how you changed the sprite with the body parts you lose. Cant seem to get past giant spike pit on 2nd level.

Congrats on the game! Pretty neat concept, and the inclusion of the aesthetic changes to the sprite was a nice touch! I think having to restart each time I lost a heart became a little overbearing, but I actually enjoyed seeing how the next death would affect gameplay, haha! I think you've got some interesting ideas happening here.
Pro: - really really really great mood with the visuals and the music - solid platforming - good take on the theme
Con: - could use some more sounds - may needs some indications for the spikes
Super tense, really good platformer. Nice
The best achievement of this game is the animation after losing parts, that was great. It would be super nice if you rebound jump to something more traditional like space or the up arrow, it took me awhile to figure out it was C and I thought the game was broken until I did.
Great game. Losing body parts which affect the gameplay was a great idea. I had fun with it, although there was a bug which made the cat floating around in the air, and I couldn't get back on the ground. Good job nonetheless.
@acactus at the last day of the event i had to redo the maps and by mistake I removed a way of going over this pit without double jump, which wasn't intended. Player was meant to use the path over the pit, but in the current version it's too high up to reach there
Im not really a cat person, but poor cat.
The thematic set with the graphics and the music is on point. Really dismal.
I could see this game fits not only the theme of this jam, but the previous one (sacrifices must be made).
The controls are ok, but i think they should be a little more smooth, it would help avoid some dumb deaths from me.
Good job!
nice idea. It does fir really well with the theme. Thank you for this entry
Hey, cool game. I love the graphics and animation. Nice background and solid cat animation :-)
There are some technical issues. First, C is not a very common key to jump, you should have put the controls in the title screen, right where you select keyboard or gamepad, show me what the controls are for both.
There are some tile rendering issues, you can see a seam here and there. Nothing too big but it hurts immersion, so to speak.
The second level got really frustrating and I quit after try four or five. Being reset to the start of the level is too much of a penalty. The same boring level parts that I have went through before, let me skip that.
The graphics are fine, the only concern for me is the heart bar at the top. That looks really out of place, also it does not seem to change at all. You could have put a heart icon in the corner somewhere or leave it out altogether since it does nothing anyway. This way it blocks much of the screen for no reason.
The body part selection screen looks out of place as well. The art does not fit together here. I know that for a Jam entry you are free to use stock art but then use something that looks good and cohesive on screen.
Overall a solid entry, OK platformer. Keep up the good work!
Neat game! I like the graphics for the cat :) But I agree the health bar looks a bit awkward
I ran into a glitch somewhere where gravity just... stopped working?? Not sure why. I had to restart the game
Losing limbs (and abilities) is an interesting implementation of the theme. Background music and in-game art is good, but the images used in menus look out-of-place. The game may also be a little too unforgiving.
Very interesting concept, but the implementation a bit buggy. One specific thing I would reocmmend for next time is to lower the camera. There were several times where I had to trust that there was ground below me as I could not see.
