I really liked the idea of this game. I love idle games and this was really cool. I found the UI a bit confusing at times but great work!

cryptomnesic 2021-04-27 02:03

UI unfortunately super broken on laptop screen size...

rhoff95 2021-04-27 02:05

Cool game. I would have liked to see some mechanical tie-in with the theme beyond the framing/scenery.

thatanonoword 2021-04-27 02:13

A clicker game with an interesting plot! Although for a jam clicker game, it's very VERY slow. Had to use an autoclicker :P. UI was also not working too well, with some parts going off even when I'm full screen. The theme was used differently, starting deep but ending up high. Good game!

timeloopedpowergamer 2021-04-27 02:33

Liked the take on a clicker/idle game. Ran fine in full screen as suggested.

rob-parker 2021-04-27 16:04

A nice cookie clicker game built to the theme. One thing that would of been really nice would have been if i clicked away from screen the game continued running. I think there was a play in background option in Unity HTML5 player settings for that but maybe i'm misremembering

yuri-yakovlev 2021-04-27 16:06

Cool game. I'd like farming.

boxedmeatrevolution 2021-04-27 16:09

Yes! I reached the surface! I enjoyed the story, and it was fun to get different upgrades. I ended up with 9 booster engines and 1432rps

foursay 2021-04-27 16:15

Like this game and spent a lot of time on it! I finally reached 1800rps and get to the surface! Nice game微信截图_20210428001427.png

Cool clicker! the mining sound was pretty aggressive when wearing headphones but otherwise a great game :)

kel 2021-04-27 16:17

Fun idle game, made it to the top and I enjoyed it!

mr-forty-two 2021-04-27 16:19

I don't really like idle clicker games, but this was quite good. The sound effect is a bit annoying. The story was nice.

2021-04-27 16:27

This is a decent entry all things considered. More content aside being obvious... The only thing I feel needs work is the text/info doesn't seem to be proper.

Good luck.

eugenik 2021-04-27 19:34

Looks great, fun to play. Good job!.

nardandas 2021-04-28 02:48

Fun little clicker, I wish there were some "events" to incentivise looking at the game a bit more, but otherwise well-done!

picross 2021-04-28 05:29

Fun game, I made it out! I wish there was some sort of visual for how good your drilling was besides the number besides each upgrade. Fun little story too. Nice work!

lectvs 2021-04-28 06:38

Neat, fun little game with all the bells and whistles you would expect from an idle game. Congrats on making it in just one day, too!

steelax 2021-04-28 15:57

fun game! the art wasnt amazing but the mechanics were solid and the adition of a narative not just a make us money was an intresting approach. the programming on this deserves a lot of respect, the dev advised he did it in a day also which adds to its impressivness

darqweful 2021-04-29 06:20

Really engaging game! Idle games can get boring sometimes but you constantly added new goals which made it fun. Good work!

dhim 2021-04-30 08:15

I love a clicker game, yours is nice :

To make it better I would advise starting you compo/jam by looking at some color palettes. There are lots of online tools to create a palette, or some existing ones. It would help tighten the look of your game. Maybe you can challenge yourself to a 4, 3 or even 2 tone palette for the next jam. But otherwise a 16/32 palettes gives you plenty of space to design a great entry.

A bit sad that is doesn't work when unfocus, I have to monitors and I would have played it while reading my mail :) ( I would have miss the story though )

A clicker with progression and plot? There should be more like these!

firefox_l6dWn7SkU7.png

I've seen some clickers already, but it's good and fresh to see one that has a more clear condition and some progression. Taking the idea of an idle game and adding mechanics, story and the like, are things that I'd like to see more people experiment with.

In this regard, I like how your game gave you hints and comments in a "narrative" style rather than just making it about getting higher and higher numbers just because mechanics say so. The theme worked well to accomplish that, I'd say.

However, the game does slow down a lot after you get the main upgrades, and it does fall into the pit of numb clicking. A few more late game upgrades would have been nice. But still, the game served a purpose, wasn't too long past that point, and could be properly sped up.

Aside from the pacing towards the end, I'd say I liked this clicker game. It's bold good! Do continue enjoying the jam! :whale:

[Thanks for submitting your game to the stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1006873415?t=00h48m39s) Sorry things get a little wild during this. That tends to happen when we play idle games. Hopefully it comes across just how much fun we had with this one!

All-in-all a very solid idle game. Only critique might be adding some visuals to make it feel like your making progress a lot more obviously. Other than that, this was a fun little timekiller. :)

ruddiculous 2021-05-03 05:59

I'm always shocked that I enjoy idle games. I'm definitely the skeptic that sees this type of experience on the face and roll my eyes but within a few satisfying clicks i'm head down looking for the next dopamine rush from the next resource upgrade. This entry was no different, well put together and scaled pleasantly! Like Cole said above a visual component on top of the narrative would have been great, also the addition of another layer of audio to add to the satisfaction of progress. All around great entry with all the pieces fitting together nice and tight!

Idle games is a genre I hate but love at the same time. I can spend hours playing it, but it often feels like a waste of time... The fact that this one has a story is really cool to give a sense of progression without using the dirty mind tricks idle games usually abuse. I really like the fact that the thing that to finish the game you have to invest in something that does not produce resources, it forces you to think about where you want to invest. I found the ending a bit too long, nothing new happens between 1000m and the surface and things become so expensive that you don't have anything to do. Maybe just adding one last resource production element that appear at this moment would help things a bit. But that's just nitpicking, well done, that game is really cool !

neowedge 2021-05-09 11:30

Very original idle game, and great progression!!! It was very funny to reach the surface, Congrats!

saile515 2021-05-09 15:50

It is nice to see an idle game with a cool story. Overall a really fun and great game. One thing I would change is add some sort of animation or purpose to the center, since it takes up half of the screen. But that is just an idea. As I said overall a really good game.

james-macgill 2021-05-10 06:09

Nice, compact game. Balanced the scaling well. Nice that it could be completed in a reasonable length of time. Terminal was a little confusing at first (I kept reading the updates backwards for some reason).

exilegl 2021-05-10 13:51

Pretty decent progression speed. Imo the blue items/action text should be somewhat less bright as it stands out too much from everything else. Maybe the ability to sell old items would be good too.

Was pretty fun :)

Very nice implementation of the clicker mechanics! The gameplay is involving with nice progression curve

There is one misleading thing: the drill button looks exactly like "play" button

sparked99 2021-05-15 20:16

You made a pretty good clicker. It felt pretty balanced. The only complaint I have is not being able to have it run in the background.

yrasin 2021-05-17 21:27

The balancing was on point. The gameplay was simple but enjoyable. Some more visual feedback would have been nice though.
