Really enjoyed this short playthrough! Thank you for sharing this
@ethanthopkins left click to punch. 5 Punches kills them.
@woahitsjeff thanks!
I liked the mood and visuals, but everything was extremely slow. I would love to see a version with faster movement for player and enemies. Well done.
Hmm, it doesn't seem to run correctly for me. I try to walk down the stairs but instead I just float in the air. Eventually I clip through the ceiling. I tried glitching my way down so I could press "Go Deeper", but as soon as I press I fall through the floor.
@offworlddemon ohhh okay I'm so used to horror games not allowing you to fight back i just assumed. cool playing again now
@offworlddemon ok nice game. I like how you actually could leave if you wanted. i noticed a clipping glitch if you keep walking in the first stairs instead of pressing E. looks like you had it accounted for though because it would send me back the start if i did that.
@ethanthopkins oh whoops, I forgot to put a collider on that wall. Thanks for letting me know!
@cireneikual222464 hey, I fixed the collision error. You mind giving it another try? To go down, you have to look at the staircase and press E.
I gave it another go, collision works now. It's got a nice atmosphere! I like the posters on the wall, it reminds my of Akuma Kira. The hit registration seems a bit off though, sometimes my hits don't connect, seemingly randomly.
Wow clever idea of metarlizing player's HP as position. However the camera wobbling to imitate walkin is realy dizzying.
Funny game and really good idea ! Really like the design of the posters !
What kind of boots is the player wearing lol. They were loud. Enjoyed walking thru each level and punching ghosts
Good solution to capture the mouse in the webgl build! I believe I will try to copy that solution in the next jam.
I had the feeling it was not missing much to make it a scare game. You should be able to run faster and the enemies should do more dmg to you. But atmosphere and sound were solved very well.
sufficiently creepy. The visuals and audio here are fantastic. The gameplay is a bit simple, and the only really dangerous position is the start of each level/area. It would be interesting if each level had multiple stairways that went upward and the enemies would drag you to the closest one. Still, very well done.
@bodaciouslycrazy yeah that's fair. I realized 2/3 into the jam that there really isn't any danger after you get far enough. Thanks for checking out the game!
Good spooky atmosphere. The footsteps were like a beating heart. Wish there had been some powerups or something so it wouldn't always take five hits to beat the static people the whole way through. In the end, I succumbed to the pipeline. Great work!
This was..... AN EXPERIENCE. Great audio, great visual effects, and the humor was... very particular, loved being able to stop and read the signs. The idea for the enemies not doing damage but pushing you towards the exit is a great concept that really ties in with the whole theme of the game really well!! I think that it didn't need to go on as long as it did, especially with the slow movement + large level @ the end, but very good nonetheless.
I tried to fight the enemies but after a few levels I found it too exhausting and pointless so I just stopped fighting. Then they gently took me to my freedom and I was relieved!
The art was good, and the sounds were very dramatic and made for a great mood, one thing I'd say is a quick "left click to attack" or some sort of intro controls tutorial would be helpful.
The idea and the atmosphere are good, but the game is very slow and I wish there would have been a life bar. I had camera issues, so it felt like I had to move the mouse in a odd way to get the pov I wanted.
So this game was interesting. it wasnt till i saw the trump looking goblin poser i realised this whole game is trick. the art style was nice, i got real windows98 maze screensaver vibes. it was a little slow, i liked the mechanic of the guys pushing you back the way u came maybe have a staircase spawn behind you as they push you to make time more a factor to escape them. also got some Superhot Vibes from the npc's and the post processing and sound effects. Solid Entry!.
This was a strange and unusual game. I liked it, the sounds were very mood setting and the art was very well done especially the "ghosts"? I keep thinking the enemies were the previous people you made it to the basement and after seeing it wasn't what it was cracked up to be they are trying to stop you from making the same mistake. And here I am yelling 'YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME!" while mercilessly beating them with my fists.
