LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Deep Blue by Jungle 2021-04-27T21:38:50Z

I cant play it, but after seeing those screenshots, I wish I could, I need a Linux port

Bucket Head by LethalTurtle 2021-04-27T23:32:38Z

This is one of the few games I **actually completed** in this game jam. It is simple, and it has broken stuff, but those problems are only problems for polish freaks, yeah, the jump pads might be op, the way dirt is placed may seem awkward. But **IT WORKS**, everything here works to make the gameplay and the little puzzles **perfect**. You did not lose time on thing that are not essential, this game has nice puzzles, is atmospheric af and the mechanics are wonderful, I did not lose any time with challenges that were too dificult, I could figure out everythin by myself, and I felt great. Congratulations, your game deserves a lot more praise than it has

Earth Deleter by Ray-Flower 2021-04-27T13:02:43Z

I would appreciate if you add a Linux or browser version of this game, so I can give some feedback on it :D

DeepO by Rodrysson 2021-04-29T23:29:45Z

Hey, I saw this game on stream, and it was fairly good! Great job, A bit difficult in some areas, but once you get the grasp of it, its great, seems pretty speedrunnable too

DeepO by Rodrysson 2021-04-30T12:05:55Z

@northernhawk I love how you countered the previous comment complaining about that jump. Well done xD, and great feedback!

Lambda by YellowKamel 2021-04-30T14:06:54Z

Hey man, I saw this game and was pretty great, it seems like a great introduction to the terminal life, and I was amazed at how creative and well done it was. The commands, straight out of a Linux machine, maybe HTOP would have made a nice addition xD. However, after I saw that there is no Linux version, I got really, really mad. I can’t believe you did such a thing. This game went from being award winning, to nothing but a memory I no longer wish to keep. I despise it so much, my heart is broken, this could have been great but you were brainwashed by the Microsoft overlords, I hope you return to the light and make the right choice.

Jk, its awesome, make linux version pls I need it!!!!

PD Make something to get rid of old input history, maybe 500 lines or so would be enough

Pipeline Traveler by PD Dev 2021-04-27T12:09:33Z

Reminded me of some classic arcade game. Really simple but effective. I think that some kind of move buffering would have been useful and better gameplaywise. Like, press right, and dont go to the right until there is path available. I guess its just muscle memory from Pacman, but it would still have been pretty nice

Deep into the Volcano by JoelChrono12 2021-04-27T13:07:54Z

@jasontherand Yeah, I originaly wanted to use the wall grab more, but I didnt manage to make good use of it due to the lack of levels. I will try to keep improving my level design xD

Deep into the Volcano by JoelChrono12 2021-04-27T15:56:02Z

@oeschmid Thank you! I tried my best to make the jetpack work while not making the levels too easy by just flying around on it. Sadly, I think I didnt handle the wall grabbing as well, since it has no use. But I am quite inspired with this and will add more levels when the jam ends, as well as a proper main menu xD. I wonder if I can just add it rn without costing me to be disqualified

Deep into the Volcano by JoelChrono12 2021-04-27T16:08:59Z

@oeschmid wait, your first jam? the game you did is noe even more awesome

Deep into the Volcano by JoelChrono12 2021-04-28T00:23:18Z

@grimsbaldruk Thank you so much for your feedback, I am glad you liked it. I will try to improve upon this game after the jam ends :D

Deep into the Volcano by JoelChrono12 2021-04-28T15:07:42Z

@pd-dev Yeah, the state machine was a bit of a mistake by me and I kept it for the release, I guess I can remove it without any penalty, so I will do so, just comment a line of code xD. Thanks, I worked quite a bit to get those graphics going

Deep into the Volcano by JoelChrono12 2021-04-28T20:57:42Z

@steelax I appreciate it dude. Thanks for the support, will try to do better

Deep into the Volcano by JoelChrono12 2021-04-28T21:26:38Z

@felo07 its more of a two levels only thing, I would not consider any of them a tutorial xD. Its just some levels I barely tested tbh. But thanks for playing, glad you liked it

Deep into the Volcano by JoelChrono12 2021-04-30T20:20:49Z

@tommytheitguy Thank you so much, I missed it live but I rewatched the link you sent me. oof. I have done a couple bugfixes like removing the state machine indicator and such.

@jitspoe I actually decided to fix that, now the text should stay until you jump down, so you can try the controls in that little platform you appear in.

@tricky-fat-cat Thats a pretty great resource! I will take a look at it for future game jams xD

@emiliabea Thank you so much, I am pretty happy with the art too, if it wasnt because of that huge scaled up lava sprite xD

Fry Hard by marrero171 2021-04-27T17:52:30Z

Hello, this game was pretty fun, it controls nicely, it gets a bit too crazy for me, not used to bullet hells, but it do be quite a nice challenge and pretty decently balanced. The artstyle is quite simple, as well as the mechanics themselves, nonetheless. Great game bud!

Marty and the Eldritch Horror by Game Endeavor 2021-04-27T16:19:38Z

OH boy that last part reminded me of the Celeste chasing sequences, pretty fun and great mechanic! While I write this I just read the comment above and realized someone already mentioned it. Welp, anyways. The music was kinda lackluster, especially at the end where it could have been more epic. But the mechanics and movement were great!

Deep Under by mishierukun 2021-05-13T12:37:44Z

I am checking out those games that have not got a lot of feedback, I kinda like yours, art is nice. I hope you make a web version of your next game, so you dont get left out by many people. I use Linux, but I play these kinds of games with other computer

Space Grappler by Duvey 2021-04-27T17:59:25Z

This is a really interesting mechanic, congrats for your creativity, I dont think it was fully developed in this little game, there could be some improvements and additions to make it stand out a bit more. However, this is a really nice game, congrats!

Into the Abyss by oeschmid 2021-04-27T13:29:41Z

Alright, this is simply amazing, its literally a single file of source code? Kinda cool. And I really enjoyed the puzzle, it can be a little bit broken sometimes, but if you play by the rules, the enjoyments is pretty nice. A few bugs here and there, but nothing serious, and the difficulty curve is excellent.

Down To Earth by DanB18 2021-05-13T12:35:24Z

Interesting game, quite enjoyable, the art is great, I wonder why its not in the Rating option

Find The Page! by Rouge_dragon 2021-04-27T13:18:21Z

Hey, Its pretty fun, maybe it was just me, but the formatting was a bit weird on my browser, and the use of Ctrl+F can make it a bit unfair for people who dont use that. But hey, its just a quick game, and a pretty good one. I would love it if you were able to set custom starting and ending points and such to make custom "levels"

HELL deep is your love? by Villanelle 2021-05-07T14:47:10Z

Man I really liked this one, saw it on many streams too, it deserves the praise it has gotten. I loved the NES style and the minimal animations. Great entry!

Abyss by Pandalk 2021-04-27T12:14:41Z

Hey, I cant play your game because it doesnt have a Linux version, it looks pretty awesome. Reminds me of Dark Echo, but in a submarine!. I hope you do a port it cuz I would love to play it. I will save my ratings for when you do :D

Deeper... by Seebass22 2021-04-28T13:15:37Z

Its always good to see more Godot games. And I really liked this mechanics, graphics were a bit weak but hey, nothing wrong with that in such a limited time. Nice work!

Into the Mines by Hugison 2021-04-27T12:20:04Z

Nice art, fun sound effects. It had been a while since I've seen this kind of game, but it was actually kinda fun. I think that the miner has a pretty weak neck, like, maybe crashing against a wall at high speed hurts, but not enough to die. Tbh this was great, the controls where easy to figure out and use too. Nice job!
