Very fun gameplay. I found the screenshake a little unpleasant, but I do think it's good that there's a lot of feedback from shooting. It's all very satisfying. Great job!

Wonderful atmosphere! The music and graphics really create a mysterious and interesting mood. love the title image (on this page) too!
I think not knowing about having to go back actually quite a neat idea. It caught me off-guard and made me panic a bit on the way back. Didn't end up making it
Wow!!! Super cool game idea and great execution. It reminds me a bit of the VR game "A fisherman's tale". The graphics really fit the style of game. The music was also well chosen!
Also, thanks for explaining the instructions. I was stuck at the same part before I read that.
Wow, what a fantastic experience! I can see that everyone who worked on this put in a lot of effort and it sure paid off. The music was absolutely lovely (a little weird that there was no music in later parts though). The story was really wonderful and I felt quite engaged and invested in it. Glad none of the comments spoiled anything. I love the art too. I think this is my favorite LD game I've tried so far (and I've tried some pretty great ones).
Really loved the music sound effects. very effective at making an immersive atmosphere! The submarine model looks great too! I agree with other users about the health-bar or no-fail ideas. having to restart after you lightly graze a wall is quite punishing
I caught almost all fish, but crashed as I was attempting to catch the last one
Your link is dead. Perhaps you forgot to set your game to "published"?
Cute game! I agree with tim's points. One thing I would add is that the ranged attack doesn't seem to work if you're moving horizontally (I assume that's unintended). I also really like the unsettling sound effects
I love scanner sombre and you've really done it justice! Really liked how the mood changed once the cave became dark. The sound effects were great, really helped to scare the crap out of me when those enemies appeared! My one complaint is that those enemies were a bit annoying to deal with. The last segment took me many tries because didn't really have a good strategy to avoid them. Also kudos for MIT licensing your code! This is one of my favourite ludum dare entries!
Wow, excellent job with the sound and graphics! Really loved how atmospheric and mysterious the game was. Gameplay-wise, I found the controls worked well and never felt like the game was too punishing.
I should mention that the HTML5 build was unplayable for me. Laggy in edge, but much worse in firefox. no issues with the windows build though! Would recommend adding a screenshot to show off those graphics!
Great job overall!
Great job on the ambient audio! The scene with the character in the beginning is well done!
I would format the controls on this page as a bullet point list (line starting with minus for each control), so you see it immediately. One thing I'd add in game is a checkpoint system since having to restart from the beginning is a bit punishing.
Great job overall!
Very cool game! I think you succeeded in those goals. @link270
One issue I did have though was that the mouse look got locked in a certain area and I could not make a full 360 turn. At one point it didn't allow me to look down either (linux build). Didn't prevent me from finishing the game though
@filipe-leal Thanks, I appreciate the kind words!
@glaas Thanks for the kind words and thank you so much for encouraging me to take part in this event!
@tucan @zeusonator Thanks! I'm really happy that the music I made for the game is so well received. I had a lot of fun making it. It was good to finally use my mini bass harmonica for something.
@ditam Thanks! Yeah, the game can be a bit punishing and maybe even feel a bit unfair at times. If you aim to get combos (but not missing any shots), you'll likely get a score in the thousands. a target hit at max combo (16) should get you 85 points
@ahmed-hamdi thanks!
@sirfist19 @shone Thanks for the kind words. I'm very happy you liked the music!
@verlanman thanks!
@emrod @doctortm @zwodahs thanks, glad you liked the slow motion! I wanted to it feel satisfying :)
@joelchrono12 Yeah, always makes me happy to see more people using godot! big fan of the engine. started using it recently and I much prefer it to unity (for 2D, at least). Thanks!
@justcamh thanks mate, appreciate you trying out my game. wished you'd played a bit longer to hear get to hear the full song as I think it gets a lot better. thanks for the feedback!
@eugenik thanks! glad you liked the look. I wasn't so sure how my game should look in the start. I'm happy I landed on a simple aesthetic in the end.
@charliegray Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! Totally agree that that spike blocks are frustrating. The first thing I'd change on a post-LD version is to make those spikes less punishing. A lot of deaths do feel unavoidable and I'd want to change that.
@ahmed-hamdi Feel free to use any of my code for whatever you want (it's under the MIT license), but please don't use any of my assets (audio and art). I haven't yet decided what license to put them under. I'm not taking contributions on github or anything, if that's what you're asking.
@steffy thanks, glad you like it!
@rick2112 @jonrei really happy you like the audio! thanks!
Hey, thanks a ton for your feedback and for trying out the game on stream! I'll definitely keep all those points in mind if I do end up updating it. Really enjoyed watching you play it. And congrats on having the current world record (that I know of)! :) @itsboats
Took me 14 minutes. Not too big on clicker games, but I enjoyed it. Saving up for the last drill took a while, but otherwise it didn't feel too long.
Love the idea of having to repair an underwater network cable!
Love your interpretation of the theme!
Love the models and the whole aesthetic! The gameplay feels good too, especially the shooting. And the music you chose is fitting.
The gun does seem quite overpowered though. You can spam it to get rid of all obstacles and by the time that it runs out, you've picked up a new one. I think an ammo count would work better. One other thing I'd add is a game-over screen with a score, since I had no idea what score I'd gotten in the end. I'd also recommend adding a screenshot to this page. Overall, great job!
Big fan of the pixel art! I knew the color-name switch thing was going to happen at some point. great idea! Made it to 99 before I lost my concentration and clicked on the wrong one
